Great hotel - very helpful and gracious staff. We opened our room window and right outside was the Duomo. Couldn't have a better view, people watching, etc. When the windows were closed, and black out curtains in use there was no noise from the church, the crowds or light coming in. We did have to walk one flight of stairs down from lobby (on 4th floor), so keep that in mind if there are mobility issues. We would choose again!
Lovely hotel. Staff are great. comfy beds ,clean rooms couldn't ask for more . The free homemade ice cream ,snacks , tea coffee are a nice touch.Highly recommended
I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Duomo Florence and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The location is absolutely perfect—just steps away from the Duomo, making it incredibly easy to explore Florence on foot and soak in the city’s atmosphere.
WOW!!! Do not miss a visit to Hotel Duomo Firenze! We are avid travelers and this hotel is 5+ star for service, breakfast (totally amazing!) and 24/7 fresh made gelato and snacks! The staff are equal, if not better, than any 5star hotels we stay at. The location is beyond perfect (if you want to walk out your hotel door and be in the city center, at the door of the Duomo) without hearing any street noise in your room! What could be better!!!

What a beautiful location. Perfect and right in the middle of everything! The friendliness of staff, great rooms (we had a couple different types) each had its own charm. Everything was very clean and well kept. Very professional and welcoming. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Florence.
We loved everything about the hotel. Location was so great especially with our view of the Duomo Room was very good and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast and gelato were a big hit and very very good. Staff was outstanding. Christino (spelling?) and Philip (spelling?) were awesome.

We had an amazing stay in Florence. Our hotel was perfect for our family of three. The rooms were clean, well-kept, and spacious enough for all of us. Breakfast was delicious and had plenty of options. Cappuccinos were also available! The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend staying here.
The location of this place is great, and the views of the cathedral was amazing. It's great to see the cathedral late at night and early in the morning with fewer people and it was really convenient to get in line first to climb the dome. The room was really cute and very nice.
The location of this hotel is perfect. We had a great view of the Duomo. We didn't expect it to be as noisy as it was though. Italians stay up later than we were expecting, and we could hear them on the street. The breakfast and gelato were excellent! They had wine available at breakfast. Wonderful attentive staff. The breakfast attendant was so kind, and he really tried to make our stay memorable. We asked for a Duomo view room and we got it. But you might want to consider an inside room due to the noise. Small elevator as well. Comfortable basic room. Friendly efficient staff that were very attentive. We would stay here again but might request an inside room, but I might also just take a sleep machine or play background noise from my phone. The noise didn't bother us the second day because we were exhausted! :-)

Great location adjacent to the Duomo. Easy walk to train station, Uffizi and Academia museums, parking lot where tour buses meet.
Roomy shower with nice big towels.

This is a wonderful hotel perfectly situated directly next to the Duomo. You cannot be any closer to it. Everyone is very knowledgeable and friendly at the hotel. I definitely recommend getting one of the rooms with a balcony. It is very nice to be able to sit there and admire the view away from the crowds down below.
The hotel is clean, comfortable, and quiet. It even offers free gelato, which was a very pleasant surprise! I highly recommend it and hope to stay there again sometime in the future.
The Hotel is centrally located by the Duomo, nice views of the Dome, Cathedral. However, the business is very dated (they called it historic). My issue is the type of room we were given, we asked if we could be changed twice to another room as price was not an issue for us. We were turned away.
We were unable to open our suitcases as we had minimal room to walk around the beds. We called the front desk to help us and they could not. I came up with the idea of placing the 2 twins diagonally. So it was then we were able to open up our suitcases. The blow dryer was broken, air conditioning did not work until one person figured out what to do and asked us to keep the window closed. We complied.
The only highlights were the Brazilian ladies at the front desk, and our breakfast chef. They def did take care of us.
Fantastic! We stayed in a room overlooking the Duomo and it was perfect. Great views, fantastic friendly staff and the best location in Florence. The free tea and Ice cream also went down very well. Nothing was too much hassle for the staff who were always available and helpful. Would highly recommend and stay again.
This hotel is literally across from the Duomo. It's modern with (well appreciated) air conditioning and included breakfast. We didn't hear noise from the street or plaza below. The room was decent size with a safe and had plenty of hot water for showers. The breakfast was a buffet inside but had a small balcony if you prefer to eat there. All day they had water and coffee available. There are plenty of restaurants around but I suggest you skip the tourist ones along the plaza.I do suggest you buy your tickets ahead of time-the the church is free to enter but always had a massive line. There isn't much in the church but the baptistery and dome are stunning. If you opt for the excavations below the church in your ticket you exit into the church to exit without waiting in that line. The museums/sights are all within walking distance as you're basically in the middle of everything. The staff was helpful and friendly and hotel very quiet.
I booked 4 rooms in this hotel after vetting more than 70 hotels in Florence and what a great experience we had staying here. From the reservations, all through our stay and our departure, the staff of this hotel was so efficient yet very helpful and friendly. The location was fantastic and accessible but what impressed us the most was the hospitality afforded to us by all the hotel personnel. They truly cared for the welfare of their guests and did everything to make our stay a memorable one.
This hotel is indeed a gem in Florence! And their offer of home made gelato just put the icing on an already great stay.

We loved the location of this hotel. However we booked room 40 specifically for the view but once we arrived we realized the side of the duomo our room faced was under construction. And while the tarps match the design of the building, we probably wouldn’t have paid extra for the deluxe room if we’d known the view wouldn’t be the view advertised on the website.
The Hotel Duomo was the perfect place for our visit to Florence. Central, comfortable, clean, friendly, and affordable. Staff was very friendly and accommodating for the entire stay. Excellent quick breakfast to together our day started. And King Leone was the best surprise - the nicest dog ever! We’d will definitely return!
Great location, right next to the Duomo with a view from the terrace. Helpful staff, lead by Leone! Ice cream, coffee, breakfast snacks a nice touch and really appreciated having an elevator. Clean and comfortable, the only suggestion would be improved seating in the room. All told a very enjoyable stay.
