Hotel Vecchia Maremma

Well worth a visit. I was traveling from Roma north up the west coast of Italy and we needed to get some lunch so at about 1430 we happened upon this hotel. We parked in the shade and went in and it proved tricky to find any staff until we went into the kitchen and a very sweet lady directed us towards the swimming pool!

At the pool restaurant they were still serving so we sat down and ordered salads and some fried fish and my goodness the service and the food were excellent!!

The place is really lovely.

PROS

- modern and clean room
- overall cleanliness
- food at dinner

CONS

- service could improve (more smiles, more good morning's...)
- breakfast consisting of mediocre quality products and no salty options at all
- you need to ask for everything and overall customer care could be improved
- WiFi could be stronger

Hotel moderno e confortevole, camere molto pulite. Posizione ottimale per raggiungere facilmente l’argentario. Ristorante dell’hotel molto buono

Bel établissement. Chambre correcte et confortable. Bon restaurant.
Si l’oc Se présente, j’y retournerais avec plaisir. Accueil très chaleureux.

When our desert came to the table it didn't look like much. That is, until we began to eat it. Mind blowing. A hot cocoa-like sauce covering some very cold gelato. I really can't explain it visually. All I can tell you is, don't miss it. I don't know the name or the gelato flavor but who cares. It was delicious. You're going to have to find Maremma on your own. The tourists do not go there. Thanks to our tour guide, Roberto, he took us to one of his favorite spots and ordered for us. Winner.

This is a very nice place and very handy for the motorway as it is on the main road it has a swimming pool which is very nice and a bar area around the pool lots to do here the rooms are nice and big and clean would recommend

noi ci abbiamo dormito una notte sola e non siamo stati male ,camera grande bagno pure e pulito ,abbiamo anche cenato la sera bordo piscina ,prodotti del territorio tutto buono ....si può fare .

Arrivate all'Hotel pensavamo di aver sbagliato indirizzo ed invece era quello giusto. Proprio a bordo strada. Una location desolante per la struttura (le nostre stanze erano site in una palazzina separata dal resto della struttura) e per il panorama (SS. 1 - Via Aurelia). La notte meglio non aprire le finestre altrimenti non si dorme per i rumori del traffico. La stanza pulita ma "essenziale". Non sperate di trovare abbastanza prese per ricaricare i telefoni cellulari perché ne trovate 2 tra stanza e bagno. L'accoglienza molto fredda e se vi serve di trovare il personale per soddisfare qualche esigenza questo è quasi introvabile. Per fortuna vi abbiamo alloggiato solo 2 notti ed in realtà erano più che abbastanza per quella sistemazione.

Siamo stati una sola notte, di passaggio. Giusto rapporto qualità prezzo. Niente di particolare, ma neanche da criticare. La camera e il bagno erano semplici e puliti, arredo un po' datato, ma in ottimo stato. Colazione abbastanza varia ed abbondante.

We stayed in the hotel looking for something quiet at an affordable price, in a location nearby Orbetello. The room was old and a little uncomfortable. The service wasn't bad but definetly below benchmark standards. The Wifi, something important if you are travelling, was only available in the lobby, with no possibility whatsoever to get access in the rooms or in a more comfortable area.

We'd say that there were only two good things in the hotel. The restaurant, that serve good dishes at an affordable price, and an acceptable pool.

Our recommendation as a traveling couple would be to choose another one.

I feel my 'average' ranking is a little unfair, because it was 'good', just not 'very good'.

We needed a stopover for a night and this hotel fit the bill. The rooms were large and clean, though basic. There was ample breakfast and the wifi was free.

Sadly we weren't there long enough to use the pool but it looked inviting.

The old photographs on display were very interesting, too.

camera vecchissima,sporca e priva di qualsiasi cosa fosse necessaria a partire dal frigobar, inesistente,aria condizionata,bagno al limite della decenza,prima colazione pessima,sarebbe andato bene se il prezzo fosse stato minore ma il rapporto prezzo qualità non è stato equivalente.

Il nostro soggiorno e' stato confortevole e piacevole. Servizio buono. Prezzo buono.

La camera è discretamente arredata, il bagno avrebbe però bisogno di manutenzione. La posizione dell'hotel è periferico, lontano dal mare, collocato sulla superstrada Aurelia che conduce velocemente in ogni destinazione.
La colazione offerta non offre molta varietà, il ristorante è veramente ottimo!
Il personale è molto cortese.
Complessivamente la mia valutazione è positiva, consigliabile per brevi soggiorni.

Hotel room was large, clean and pleasant although the shower and toilet very cramped. The hotel is actually off the motorway so you have to slow down and pull out onto the carriageway which we were not expecting. Hotel ideal to use as a stopover on way to somewhere else. The surrounding beaches and location were ideal once they were found. A car is essential.

Breakfast was horrible. Stale bread, jam in packs, awful juice which was surprising because its restaurant had a good rating. Can't be the same people who are in charge of the breakfast...it's located on the freeway about half an hour drive from orbetello
