First impressions of the hotel were great, especially after staying in a different hotel in Sauze last year that just wasn’t up to standard. The novelty of the floors at Hotel Torre was cool and the room had recently been renovated, very stylish, spacious and just what we needed for a snowboarding break. Small fridge too!
Unfortunately our TV was not a smart TV like many others (we went with 70 friends!) - my partner was injured and so couldn’t snowboard for the week, so was disappointed that we did not have a smart TV.
When we arrived, for the first few days, smoke alarms and fire call points were not present with just cables hanging out! Totally wouldn’t be allowed in the UK! Thankfully this got sorted by the end of our trip. The lifts were very slow and temperamental, and when staying on the 6th floor, with an injury, we were somewhat reliant on them!
The door to our room did not seal properly, the room was extremely hot with the window only opening a little at the top, however, this created a very noisy draft from the door, and in turn dragged up some awful hydrogen sulphide smell from the drains!
The food had good variety and in the main kept us both happy. The lack of tap water available at dinner, requiring guests to buy bottled water just wasn’t good enough, when the bar prices were so expensive too!
Most of the staff were friendly and more than happy to help with questions about local arrangements. All in all, it was a nice stay, but it definitely could have been better!
It was fine. It did what I needed it to. I needed a place to stop and rest on my long journey home. The food was plentiful and of reasonable quality. The room was warm and comfortable.
I did not realise this was a winter sports hotel. I did not realise it was up in the mountains. I did not realise it was full of winter sports people, some of whom were very rowdy.
The hotel is in a good location for access to the town and ski lift. The free shuttle to the Sportinia ski lift was very useful. The hotel staff were friendly and the concierge was helpful with buying ski lift passes and arranging airport transfers. We liked the hotel bar for relaxing after skiing and listening to the live singer. The onsite ski hire was helpful. The room was large, well equipped and clean. The breakfast in the restaurant is buffet style with a good choice of food. The evening restaurant is buffet style.
It would be great if part of the restaurant could be a true restaurant i.e. table service, choose your order from a menu and then be served at the table, rather than just buffet style. This is a minor point though.
To access the ski hire area and ski lockers you have to go briefly outside the main hotel. To simplify things, take some flip flops to wear from the hotel to ski hire/locker area. Similarly the Spa is located a few steps outside the main hotel.
Comfortable rooms
Smell of sewage in reception and on the 7th floor.
Get the contractors doing the electrical work to clean up after themselves.
Stanza spaziosa
Spa e fitness a pagamento (troppo caro per ospiti hotel)
Colazione
Rumoroso a causa scolaresche
Centrale e lussuosa
Rumore dall'area comune fuori dalla porta
Great communication before arrival.
Friendly staff at check in.
Fairly spacious recently renovated triple room with comfy beds, cleaned daily.
Plenty of choice at breakfast.
Not much really, could do with a few more toilet facilities in the restaurant area, but only being picky.

Great hotel
Drinks in bar very expensive
Pluspunten:
- mooi grote gerenoveerde kamers
- gratis ski-shuttle
Minpunten:
