A basic stay as expected close to the main train station in Florence
Pros:

It was exactly what I expected for the price we paid- somewhere comfy to sleep with all the basics we needed, not far from the main trading station.

Cons:

The air conditoner was noisy, the bathroom looked a little worse for wear with rot at the base of the door frame.

Sensibly priced rooms in the heart of the old city, close to markets.
Pros:

Right in the middle of the tourist mediaeval part of Florence, about 2min walk to the markets. Friendly staff, reasonable price for the quality. Simple comfortable accommodation in the heart of the city. Not too fancy and priced accordingly.

Cons:

Restaurants and bars on the street below, moderately noisy with people and chatter until around 11pm, and some noise in the morning when the markets were setting up for the day. Almost no traffic noise. Note this hotel has no lift, and steepish stairs to reception on the 2nd floor.

Dormir bien y barato en el centro de Firenze
Pros:

Fuimos a pasar tres días de turismo intenso a Firenze, la ubicación del alojamiento es muy buena por no decir excelente. La habitación a pesar de ser un poco pequeña, fue suficiente para pasar las horas necesarias para ducharse y descansar bien. El hotel es tranquilo y el personal muy amable.

Cons:

Entiendo que debe ser para cumplir alguna normativa, pero el baño no era del todo cómodo; la pica demasiado baja e inclinada y el inodoro demasiado alto (del tipo minusválidos), hasta aquí todo bien y no tengo ningún problema con las adaptaciones; pero pierde completamente el sentido cuando para llegar a la planta del hotel tienes que subir dos pisos por escaleras (ningún problema con esto tampoco). Es una crítica constructiva y podría no ser culpa del establecimiento sino de las normativas (ya que lo ví en otros sitios también).
