La piscine et le serveur était super sympa 👍
Siamo stati benissimo! Hotel tranquillo, confortevole e curato. Staff gentilissimo, discreto ma sempre pronto ad aiutare.
Torneremo!
The restaurant is amazing, food impeccable. Liked the quiet calm area around the pool.
Walls a little thin, can be noisy in the morning and we like to sleep late. Not a big issue though
the location, clean, good restaurant, nice garden, helpful staff, good value for price
lots of moscitos (no net on windows), breakfast bit weak, bed was not comfortable, paper-thin walls (was waked up by other guest at 1.30 am and 6 am)
Note this is in Lido de Tarquinia, which is a ghost town out of season, and not Tarquinia itself. We went for a family wedding because it was in the same town as the reception, and we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel. The staff speak little English, but why should they? However with my phrasebook Italian they could not have been more obliging.
The whole hotel was immaculately clean, the rooms all have a kingsize bed(extremely comfortable) and a single bed and are of a good size, but not very soundproofed. The wifi is free and reliable. The only quibble about the rooms is that the shower cubicle itself is very small so moving around wasn't too easy and my heavier parents worried about the creaking plastic shower tray. The balconies have an open aspect but no sea view etc. The restaurant is closed in November, which makes the dining options limited to a couple of takeaways or the only restaurant that appeared open in the town. However as it is family run, the very comfortable bar and open plan dining/living area and terrace were open to us at all times, and the bar was extremely well stocked and reasonably priced. Breakfast was at our convenience and excellent continental with fantastic coffee/croissants/yoghurt and cakes. We would be delighted to visit again to use it as a base for exploring the area.
Hotel has good location: close to beach and in quiet area. Good for those, who like relax vacation. Hotel has nice big garden and rooms are located in main building and smaller building in garden. We had room in the smaller house. It was nice room, enough big, but little bit stinky and wet... Hotel is just 3 star, but dinner in restaurant was excellent! Breakfast was delicious, full of food, but just sweet, we really missed some salami, ham or cheese... Staff was very kind. Hotel has private parking and you can see your car, when you have room in the smaller house.
We really enjoyed our stay in this little hotel. The bedroom and the bathroom were really small but they were comfortable and spotlessly clean.
The gardens are amazing and if you are looking to laze around with a book, you cannot beat the beds by the pool OR the little tented and cushioned areas scattered around the gardens. Like a movie set.
The food in the restaurant was mostly fish, which we enjoyed immensely. It was well cooked, presented and served and the restaurant was often far busier than the hotel as it was frequented by locals as a restaurant of choice. Always a good sign if the locals use a hotel restaurant. The restaurant was lovely and mainly a terrace at the back of the hotel, overlooking the gardens. The breakfasts were a little basic but served in a large marquee next to the pool with plenty of good coffee and nice pastries.
The staff were really very, very nice but they speak little or no English - but all Italians appreciate it when you try to communicate with them in Italian - my husband and I speak little Italian but it was enough for the staff. They made all the effort in the world with us and we truly appreciated it.
Give this little hotel a try but bear in mind the only real problem we encountered whilst in Tarquinia. The hotel was lovely but the resort was closed - and we visited in early September. Very strange.
