Brompton Hotel

The hotel was in a good area and the tube station was literally a couple of minutes walk away. The hotel was fine for what we needed it to be as we were up in London to attend a local hospital appointment and this was the closest hotel at a cheaper price. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. We did say to them when we had finished our visit that the fridge would need to be check as the items we had left in there were warmer than when we had put them into the fridge and had put it up to its maximum level ! The gentleman behind the counter said that this would be looked into. We asked for a lower level room which was what we got over looking the road, but when the double glazed doors were closed, we hear very little traffic noise. The one downside was that despite turning the radiators off when we arrived as we noticed that they were on, the heat still carried on coming out, so we presumed they had an over-ride facility and that they were set to ocome on at certain times of the day. That being said we were in a more expensive area of London. There were breakfast facilities, although kind of onsite this was run independently of the hotel. We didn't eat here in the end, but a few doors up on the same side, was an excellent breakfast in La Brioche. This comes highly recommended. We did have a recently re-fitted bathroom which had been replaced to a good standard.

Wifi good, room clean but needs a coat of paint, staff very friendly, convenient location, just a shame about the stairs would have been nice to be offered help with suitcase up the stairs

Very tired decor. Was told on arrival that the room had a new bathroom but the door was damaged and it couldn't be closed or locked.
Only stayed here as we had to attend a hospital appointment at 7.30 the next morning and it was a reasonable price and close to the hospital.

I would stay here again. Very quiet for relaxing and sleep. Local and close to everything one needs, food and other purchases. Staff was pleasant. I gave some 4 ratings for personal reasons but otherwise all was good.

Great location, great services and room. The only critism is the time it takes to run the water hot in the morning - otherwise great price , location and room.

Wish there were more places like this rather than the boring chain hotels or the poncey, overpriced posh places with all their flunkeys. It's down to earth, clean, basic, and in a great location at a very keen price. The very few staff I've met there are genuinely friendly and always so helpful. Highly recommended

Clean room and bathroom with cleaning service every day of my stay. Staff were very polite and understanding as usual taking care of my taxi to the office.Harry was very empathetic useful in that aspect.The cleaning staff and other reception staff were all very polite and hardworking, making one feel ar home 🏡

The property is in a great location, but it could very much do with a refurb. From old and faded furnishings to a very leaky bathroom, and incredibly loud ventilation, it was much less comfortable given the current condition. At least it was clean enough so for 1 night it was passable given the practicality of the location.

It’s a nice property at a very convenient location just across the South Kensington tube station. All important places are in walking distance. Everything goes well except no elevator in the building. The management shall find the ways to install a elevator

I cannot say much about this property apart it was close to the tube station. The room I stayed in looked tired and needs freshing up.

Carpet was wet, long complex checkin. Receptionist damaged my passport taking a photo of it. Ihad paid by PayPal on Expedia and staff demanded that I provide the original card for payment (what card) or I’d pay again.

Very friendly staff, lovely room, nice and clean, had everything we needed, fridge in room was useful, housekeeping were efficient and friendly. TV in room already with hotel's Netflix account or you can plug a tv stick in. Had a lovely room on the first floor with balcony doors and a nice union flag there to look out at! Made us feel regal!! Tesco Extra a few doors away for any supplies, South Kensington tube 2 mins walk away, lots of restaurants nearby. Science Museum and Natural History Museum 7 mins walk. This will now be our go-to hotel when we stay in London.

Property was fine, staff were nice.

Nicer than expected. Clean tidy room with comfy beds and good ensuite. Lots of stairs but that was fine for us.

The web site needs updating .. there is NO bar or dining facilities ... stairs no lift
