Cheap way to stay in Rome. Bring good headphones, flashlight and power bank for your devices.
Pros:

Staff are great, they are on duty 24/7. I had good WIFI in a room way down at the end. I saw no hooligans loitering near the doors accosting guests. This was a common complaint on other reviews but I just didn't see it at all. The place is safe enough, lots of coppers and soldiers running around. Numerous shops and budget places to eat nearby, and of course you can walk to Termini Station in 90 seconds. The Coliseum and Palatine Park are just a 10 minute walk away, although many of the other big attractions are a longer hike. Breakfast was free for me but is just donuts. You're away from most of the road noise up on the 3rd floor, which is a big plus IMHO. The staff are great, again. very quick and helpful. If you are a woman you'll be OK here, place is safe as anywhere else.

Cons:

Room is tiny, bed is tiny, bathroom is tiny and especially the shower is tiny. My 5' 10" 160 pound body just did not fit in that shower well and I was constantly elbowing the door and walls. My room had ONE OUTLET, above the sink, very inconvenient for trying to recharge devices each evening. No towel hooks and a tiny shelf in that bathroom to organize your sundries. Biggest problem is, like any cheap motel, noisy neighbors and hollow walls. I wore headphones with white noise to sleep every night. But you do have the WIFI which helps save data. If there was a bad fire in the night, your only hope would be climbing out the window, there's no way you'd make it down to street level with those corridors full of smoke. And the elevator looked like something out of Fear factor. I've seen some retro-fit elevators before, but this one I wouldn't touch. Not once. Every time someone buzzes the street door, the desk clerk's phone rings one time. This might be an annoyance if you are in one of those first 5-6 rooms, even with headphones.
