This is an elegant quiet oasis in the heart of the Rive Gauche or Left Bank famed both today and yesteryear for its artistic culture. The hotel itself is boutique par excellence. The world and times of Oscar Wilde who stayed here when it was the Hotel Alsace is not only easy to imagine, not only recreated but never left here in spirit in the first place, and modernity only impinges discretely and with purpose to improve the air of the leisured luxury world of a time when quality of experience was paramount
For those of understanding and appreciation, minor and insignificant variations in personal taste have little validity as the whole in this instance is far more than the sum of the parts

Cleanliness of the rooms: dirty carpets abd curtains, no phone charging points un rooms, loose electrical sockets.
Het ontbijt was klein, maar wat er was was goed.
Al het personeel was enorm aardig en deskundig.
Goeie airco in kamer.
Fijne sfeer.
De kamer was wat gedateerd.
Alles zag er schoon en netjes uit, maar (bijvoorbeeld) de vloerbedekking rafelde op sommige plekken en de gordijnen sloten niet helemaal goed; lieten aan de bovenkant licht door.
De inrichting van de kamer was iets karig.

Enjoyed spending some special time away with wife celebrating our wedding anniversary. Hotel is perfect for this sort of celebration 🍾
Some noise on the first night coming from the cafe next door.
This hotel is a gem. It is tucked away on a quiet street close to the Seine. It is among the most beautiful hotels I have stayed in. I stayed in the appartment on top floor on one occasion and a smaller room on the second occasion. The appartment is spectacular with a balcony with a view of the rooftops of Paris. It is quite expensive, but definitely worth it. The smaller rooms are also charming. The breakfast is excellent. And most importantly, the staff are genuinely friendly. This is a perfect base for exploring Paris.

Amazing staff! The female maitre d’hotel at breakfast was super. Also the roomservice was perfect. Lovely to book the private wellness. The small details makes the stay extra personal.
Although a beautiful bath, the short curtain makes it very hard to shower without floading the bathroom.

I’m Asian and i don’t feel any racism. All staffs are so friendly and respectful. They’re so helpful and accommodating even I already checked out waiting for my ride for few hours, and even helped me put my luggage into the car.

Location, the staff, the breakfast, the interior of the hotel, the bar, fabulous rooms. Everything!
