A marvellous place to stay when exploring central Italy
Pros:

Been here twice. And it’s the same great place to stay in a historical town in the middle of Italy. Elegant and quiet, my room has a balcony, a bonus to watch beautiful sunset glow!

A good village to visit with a surprisely number of good restaurants for an evening meal.

Struttura molto bella e arredata con gusto. Accoglienza, spazio, pulizia, posizione centralissima. Colazione varia e gustosa. Anche la nostra cagnolina si è trovata molto bene.

Cons:

Un pò troppo rumore e chiacchiere sotto la finestra a sera tardi e mattino presto (posizione centralissima). Suggeriamo di cambiare il materasso per evitare effetto "rimbalzo" quando il compagno/a si muove.

Charming hotel
Pros:

I was charmed by the hotel and the hospitality of the owners and staff. On my request vegan options were specially provided for breakfast, which made me feel really cared for. The view from my room was spectacular. What can I say, I loved everything about my stay in Montone and hope to back next year!

A unique Boutique Hotel to stay in a lovely little storybook village.
Pros:

I booked for our business associates to stay nearby my home in Montone. They loved their stay. The room was comfortable with a lovely view over the rooftops of the village. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Village of Montone is a unique and special place. The restaurant and La Locanda is delicious. They loved their breakfast every morning was in the lovely dining room.

A plesant stay in Montone.
Pros:

Locanda del Capitano is a lovely boutique hotel in a wonderful/picturesque Umbrian hilltown, Montone. The chef and his staff produce amazing gourmet dinners, so it's definitely worth booking a dinner or two! Breakfast is also wonderful.

Cons:

It was difficult to say what you'd want for breakfast the night before; however, I do understand that this was done to avoid food waste with a big breakfast buffet.

Beautiful romantic setting, fabulous food and superb service at Locanda del Capitano.
Pros:

Fabulous location in a beautiful village with wonderful decor and traditional facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff from arrival to departure. Food was gorgeous.

Cons:

There was nothing not to like, it was very quiet, but we had dinner on the second night and the atmosphere was lovely. (Maybe advice that the welcome glass of Prosecco at dinner was being charged and an indication of the price of the ‘special’ beef would have been helpful, but both were gorgeous and I could have asked.) we would return without hesitation.
