A charming hotel in a great location
Pros:

We returned to this hotel after many years and it continues to exude the same charm. The staff are so friendly and willing to go the extra mile. The breakfast is good with a choice of croissants, bread, pancakes, fruit yoghurt as well as hot options. To drink there is fruit juice, water, tea, coffee and hot chocolate. We booked a room with a balcony, which although small as anticipated, was absolutely charming. Taking a moment to sit in the sun at the end of the day with the view of the top of the Eiffel Tower in one direction, was relaxing and special. Situated in Chatelet, the location of this hotel is excellent. It's within walking distance of many popular sites and has a good variety of places to eat in the surrounding area. It is very close to Chatelet metro and RER (stepped access) and a short walk from Chatelet Les Halles metro and RER (lift access). It is also very easy to use buses from this property. We won't leave it as long before returning this time.

Cons:

I am putting this information in this box because this hotel is not accessible to a full time wheelchair user. There is a small step at the entrance which my power chair can manage. The lift is too small to accommodate most wheelchairs so mine was kept in the luggage room. The staff stored it safely while I went up in the lift. The maximum length of the corridor to the rooms was 7m but many were much closer. It is worth noting that some of the rooms are very small and would not accommodate a walking aid such as a frame or rollator. The breakfast room and communal lounge do not have lift access. There are 8-10 steps down with a rail on the left descending. The rail stops 3 steps before the bottom making it more challenging. It is also worth noting that the shower is over the bath.

These access issues are true for many of the boutique hotels in Paris as they are old buildings. I am highlighting the specific access in the Britannique so that people can make a choice according to their needs.

Мне очень понравился отель. Он милый, уютный, домашний. И имеет свой особый настрой - на отдых, на неспешные прогулки вдоль Сены, которая расположена рядом.
Местоположение отеля - это его козырь. Рядом ещё и Лувр, и улица Риволи, и Собор.
У меня был всего один день и одна ночь пребывания, но именно из-за близости отеля к таким достопримечательностям сложилось впечатление, что я провела в Париже несколько дней :)
Вечером, уставшая после рейсов, приехала, заселилась в уютную комнату, сходила за сендвичами и водичкой, отлично выспалась. Утром - шикарно позавтракала (все вкусное, свежее), поздоровалась на ломаном "бонжур" с работницей, которая организует завтраки - в ответ услышала чистый русский, очень приветливо. Оставила вещи внизу на хранение - и гулять!
Вообще, все очень приветливы и терпеливы из персонала. Меня волновал вопрос возврата денег на карту за бронирование, мне все спокойно поясняли. Деньги вернулись примерно через 33 дня, но это исключительно из-за особенностей банка, отель возврат сделал сразу же.
А ещё там красиво! Холл внизу, с винтажными вещами быта, фотографировала отдельно.

Желаю отелю процветания. И очень его рекомендую!

Сначала думала, что район шумный и странный, но это вокруг шумели кафе вечером в субботу.
Спросила на ресепшн : безопасно ли тут? Мне сказали :да, безопасный район.
И действительно так, спокойно гуляла вечером.

Very authentic and charming hotel in a perfect location

This place is the best hotel to stay at while in Paris. Location is wow, the staff are so friendly and welcoming and it is beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable as well

The Hotel Britannique was a hotel that was Unique !!!!
Pros:

This was our first visit to Paris to celebrate our 18th Wedding Anniversary and the Hotel Britannique made our stay even more pleasurable. From the moment we booked our hotel via Hotels.Com we were in touch with the hotel and Adelina looked after us via e-mail to make sure everything was correct. When we finally arrived at the hotel before check in, we were allowed to leave our bags so that we could take in the Parisian sites before checking in. The staff who I cannot remember all the names were excellent and nothing was a bother to them at all. All of the staff should be highly recommended for wanting to go that little extra to make your stay as enjoyable and as comfortable as possible. We booked a deluxe room with a balcony overlooking the main street and the room was very clean, comfortable and well presented with tea and coffee making facilities, a hair dryer and a safe in the wardrobe. There was ample room in the wardrobes for all of our clothes and the room was cleaned to perfection every morning.
I can honestly say, this is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at in Europe and we have been to many countries but never had the level of service that we had from the Hotel Britannique.
Well done to all of the staff and to the owners on making our first Paris trip so memorable.
