We felt like we found a gem in this historic hotel. The service could not have been better - so kind and helpful. They booked a private car to take us to the airport and it was wonderful. The room was a modest size but had all we needed. The refrigerator was a wonderful addition. The rainfall shower was amazing. There are only two rooms and each floor and as others have said it was on a quiet side street in the Latin Quarter. I am claustrophobic so I could not ride in the elevator but I needed the exercise with all of the wonderful French food and wine!
It was a perfect place! Location, beauty of the hotel, everything!
Overall a fantastic and lovely place to stay! Will absolutely stay here again. The entire team was friendly and helpful - they made me feel at home and very much taken care of - really a top notch and kind staff who will help with anything you need. Location is off of a main road but on a dead end quiet cross street across from a little park, so it felt very peaceful while still very convenient. Delicious breakfast. I stayed in two different rooms, and both were nice sizes for Paris with excellent bathrooms, little kitchens and updated decor but still in sync with the historic building style. There is a little sitting room in the lobby if you are waiting on a car or friend, wine and champagne available. Very charming, clean, updated yet historic - I considered 30+ different places and was very, very happy with this choice!
My family and I loved our stay at the Hotel Residence Henri IV. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, helping us to secure a private car to and from the airport and making sure we were taken care. The rooms were also spacious and comfortable - each room has a kitchenette, which we like for quick meals/snacks, as well as air conditioning (which was needed on several hot days). We also liked that the hotel is small and quiet - it is tucked away on a little side street and it doesn’t feel like a ton of people are coming and going. The best part is the location - it is right in the Latin Quarter with easy access to three metro stops, lots of shops and restaurants, and is within walking distance of Notre Dame. The immediate area around the hotel isn’t overrun by crowds. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a nice, comfortable, quiet place to stay with a good neighborhood feel.
Location and charm was great! Loved the balcony
Stairs are hard to navigate
The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The basket of baked goods was lovely and the little glass pots of yoghurts the best.
Incredibly charming hotel with very friendly faces. Our family of four stayed here for four nights during a longer trip through Europe, and this was one of our favorite hotels.
They've done a fantastic job of preserving the original character of the building while modernizing the things you'd expect, like the bathrooms. Just adjust your expectations of what a modern hotel is like—you'll still receive a physical, old-style key, and they ask that you leave it at the front desk whenever you head out. Don't worry, though—someone is at the front desk 24/7.
The spiral staircase can be a bit dizzying, but it also makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. It adds to the experience and really gives you the sense that you're staying in a centuries-old building rather than just another hotel. If the stairs aren't your thing, there's also a tiny elevator available.
My husband and I enjoyed two weeks at the Hotel Residence Henri IV this July. The location, the decor and amenities, and the customer service were all stand outs.
The hotel is a short walk from Notre Dame and the Pantheon, and aprox 15-20 minutes to the Louvre, the Marais neighbourhood, the Jardins de Luxembourg, and many other sites and attractions. There are several shopping/dining districts within walking distance, but the hotel itself is down a quieter corridor.
We were initially concerned the Elegance room would be a bit small for two full weeks, but we were pleasantly surprised. The two small wardrobes were enough to hold our things, and the concierge kindly stored our luggage for the duration of our stay to make more room. The small balcony with french doors went a long way to ensuring we never felt cramped. The small kitchenette is handy and well equipped. We particularly enjoyed the bathtub and American style shower heads, as well as the strong water pressure (not always a given in Europe). The A/C worked well, and we were very comfortable. The decor throughout is charmingly old-world and very "on-brand" for a trip to Paris. The hammam was a real treat after several days of non-stopping walking.
The service at the hotel is exceptional, and the concierge is available 24/7 to assist. They were particularly helpful in receiving a couple packages for me while I was out for the day... this is very helpful if you plan to shop and would like the stores to ship your purchases to the hotel directly, since you will be walking a lot!
Overall we wanted to say thank-you for a wonderful stay, and hope to return in the future!
This is a wonderful, charming, historic hotel. It's in a great location that is inset from the main road and thus is overall very quiet. The interior is exquisitely decorated. The rooms are lovely. There is a park across the street with benches that guests can relax in under the morning sun. The staff were all very friendly. This is a good spot; book early.
Internet was a bit spotty. Breakfast options were a little light (not major for us).
The room was very comfortable and the bathroom very good. Breakfast was amazing and staff very helpful. Cafes within a 3 minute walk. We plan to return.
L’emplacement.
Lit matelat trop mou mal de dos assuré.
地點佳,整體氛圍古典,工作人員和善
We loved the space in our room, complete with a separate lounge area and little table. This meant my husband and could relax after a day of walking about. We loved having the kitchenette for our breakfast or simple lunch. The location was great and very walkable to Le Marais and all the places to see. The staff were lovely and welcoming. It was very quiet and the balcony with a garden view was a delight.
