Hôtel Marais Bastille

This hotel was my favourite on a 10 day trip to Paris and Amsterdam. No steep stairs to navigate, very nice rooms right on the canal. Great location - very walkable and close to the lovely Marais area restaurants without the noise. This will be my choice of a Paris hotel in the future.

My room was cosy and well equipped. It had everything I needed and the hotel went to some length to provide extra treats. That was nice.
The location was perfect given its easy walking distance to the Opera Bastille and the range of cafes and restaurants nearby. A bonus was the market that sets up outside the hotel on Thursdays and Sundays. There is ample public transport and easy taxi access just down the street.
The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was good. The coffee was particularly good.

We were very happy with our stay and recommend Hotel Marais Bastille.

The size of our room was fine with plenty of room for luggage, closet hanging space and counter top space in the bathroom and bedroom. The room was also very clean. The “view” of the courtyard was a view of the three sides of buildings. However, we were mainly in our room to sleep, so a view was not important.

We were glad our room was only one floor up, since we were able to use the stairs except to move our luggage upon arrival and departure. The elevator is very small, accommodating two people or one person and some luggage. When we departed, we had to wait about 10 minutes before the elevator was available. Again, this was not important, but something to be aware of.

We were very happy to find that the stop for Bus 69 that directly serves the Louvre and Musee D’Orsay was very close to the hotel. Our bus journeys were mostly trouble free, but be aware that return service changes in the evening. Our outbound half hour trip became a return trip of two hours one evening, because we had difficulty finding the correct connections.

Two highlights were how quiet our room was and the service from Olivia who runs the breakfast room. Not only was our room quiet, but the neighborhood is quiet at night as well.

Although the breakfast room is very small, the selection is fine, especially the apple cake that Olivia makes herself. She also serves lattes, etc., as part of breakfast. Olivia is a treasure.

Muy lindo hotel, habitación muy cómoda y muy limpia. La cama súper cómoda. El staff del hotel fue muy amable siempre. Me encantó que nos dejaron un regalito de bienvenida y un snack, al igual que botellas de agua que cambiaban cada día. Buena ubicación cerca de las zonas más concurridas de Le Marais. En general nos encantó este hotel. Muy muy cómodo, volvería a quedarme sin pensarlo 2 veces.

My double room was cosy but well appointed and clean. For one person the room worked well but two people sharing may have found it too small. Breakfast in the morning had some nice options and was convenient.
The staff on reception were helpful and the lounge area on the ground floor was comfortable.
The location, which is within walking distance of the Opera Bastille, was the reason I chose this hotel. The 10 minute walk was well lit and felt safe at night.

The hotel was clean and quiet. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Staff was freindly and helpful. Location was very near Metro stop and close to important attractions. There were numerous restaurants within 2 blocks, a couple of bakeries within the same perameters and a grocery store!
