Nice hotel with problem air con
Pros:

There is plenty of nice things about this hotel, food, rooms, swimming pool, but it’s totally let down by the air con and lifts.
The air con in our room was near non existent and in temperatures up to 35 degrees everyday it was not good at all, most people we talked too were complaining about it too.
Lifts, are small and can only accommodate 4 people at a time, they are very slow, and if like me you can’t walk up stairs because of knee problems, you could be waiting a long time, especially in the busy times.
We had a nice room plenty of space for two of us but my daughter had her 16yr old son and husband with her and all three ended up in a double room with an extra bed, quite a squash as the third bed was pushed up against the wardrobe space.

Poor
Pros:

I would give this hotel a 2.5 starts at best. The hotel is very clean and the food is ok but most of the time very bland, it doesn't really have much else going for it. The air con in the rooms is next to nothing, even after complaining and them saying its fixed it still wasn't good enough. I spent at least half the weak of my holiday sleeping on the tiled floor and seriously contemplating on living the rest of my holiday in the hotel reception as that was the coolest place. I was going to sleep outside on the balcony but the hotel was infested with cockroaches, we would see them most mornings and they do like to chase you around the hotel. You will also find them regularly floating around the swimming pool throughout the day or dead pool side where people have fished them out, you would also find them around the pool swimmers. We had paid for an all inclusive holiday which didn't actually turn out like that. When ordering drinks you have to give them tokens, you family members all get given 2 tokens each, if your with a large family and want to get drinks for everyone be prepared to have tokens given back to you as only 1 person is to be given 2 drinks at a time so dont expect to go to the bar with 4 cups as you will be given 2 tokens back.
Cocktails you have to pay for unless its the mocktails which then you just get them to add the spirits. All they have alcohol wise thats free in the day is the house beer and the house spirits which is vodka, white rum, whisky and gin. If you want anything else you have to pay for it. Wine is only available in the evenings as well as ice cream. If you would like ice cream in the day you will have to pay for that also. There isn't much to do for kids with families, nothing get put on for the young kids. The kids club was always closed when we checked. The evening entertainment is rubbish, it get cancelled last minute and its usually just background music. The only thing thats consistent is the bingo. The hotel has gone down hill since I last stayed here a good few years ago. Im hoping this isn't the same with all globales hotels otherwise I shall not be booking with them again..

A nice hotel
Pros:

Overall a good holiday but felt the hotel’s entertainment wasn’t very good at all. The clown show we watched at 10 pm was catered more for children.
The hotel is clean and the rooms are spacious. Needed a mirror above the dressing table.

ok hotel
Pros:

Rooms,
they're nothing fancy but clean and big enough. Ours was air conditioned, room 312, however the other 6 rooms in our group had issues with theirs not working. Fans were offered, and one room was changed.
Walls are maybe a little thing as you could here what was going on next door.
Food,
food was fine, better selection at dinner time we thought rather than at tea. Breakfast was ok, only spanish bacon (which i dont mind) . But again plenty of choice, pastries, cereals, fruit , cold meat etc.
theres a small selection outside by the pool, salad , burgers, nuggets, pizzas etc. Pizzas are good, fresh stonebaked type.
Lifts,
the reviews are right, there is only 3 and they are slow and small. And definitely in need of a revamp, as very scruffy looking.
Pool Area
There was always a sunbed, we were a big group and usually managed to get beds close to each other. The rules for the pool vary depending on which lifeguard you get. Alot of people (adults and children) were wanting to throw balls to each other , somedays this was fine other days it wasnt.
we did spot the odd coackroach :(
Bar
the bar is a token system, 2 drinks per person which is strict. I dont like this as the queues get silly and the plastic cups arent massive so by the time youve drank up its time to queue again. This is the same at the inside bar but with glasses rather than plastic cups.
location
we found the location fine, on a bit of a hill but not massive. 5 mins from beach, a few minutes from closest shops and bars, restaurants. Banana's , Reflex, Castaway were just a few. Its about 20mins from the airport.
Would we stop again, yes probably if the price was right.

Wouldn’t recommend
Pros:

Overall not a positive stay at this hotel.

Very rude front of house staff specifically reception. Unfriendly faces that didn’t want to help and anything asked seemed like you were being an inconvenience to them.

Lifts were an issue - only 3 and they were very tiny. If using a wheelchair or pushchair would definitely struggle fitting in. Waiting for a lift took ages and a lot of the time we had to walk up to the 7th floor.

Token system seemed pointless considering we were still given colour coded bands depending on level of board. For all inclusive we couldn’t just help ourself to fizzy drinks but had to queue with everyone else wanting cocktails or paid drinks. For some reason pool bar didn’t like giving water out as mentioned to us to go to the restaurant but obviously it’s not open all the time.

Only one bar open in evening time. Queues ridiculous for getting a drink.

Location ok but steep steps down to the road that leads to the beach.

Noisy sleeping. Walls felt paper thin. Groups slamming doors and shouting often. We did ask to move and one member of staff said to come back in the morning and we can move you and when we did they said they couldn’t. so overall gave up talking to reception as waste of time.

We did have an issue with no water coming from shower or taps for like 6hours on one evening. Reception handled it terribly when we rang down to ask what was going on they were rude and dismissive saying they can’t do anything.

Food was good however timings seemed quite limited for example breakfast only being open from 8am-10am. Cleaning staff were friendly and kept our room tidy. Rooms were modern however missing a kettle and tea station.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel and wouldn’t recommend.

Cons:

We recently stayed at the Globales Mimosa hotel in Palmanova. Unfortunately, the hotel was a major disappointment and definitely does not live up to its 4-star rating. We will certainly not be returning, and here are the main reasons why:

Elevator bottleneck: For a 9-story building housing around 700 guests, there are only three elevators available. They are incredibly slow. The wait times are endless, leading to constant crowding, so we often had to take the stairs.

Overpriced safe and paid parking: Despite being a 4-star property, we were asked to pay a staggering €75 just to use the basic room safe! For a hotel of this caliber, securing your valuables should be included in the price, not charged as an expensive extra. On top of that, parking is also paid at €5 per day.

Unwelcoming staff: With very few exceptions (literally just a couple of polite employees), the staff looked gloomy and annoyed. There was no warmth or welcoming smiles; it felt as though the guests were a burden and owed them something.

Repetitive food: The dining experience was incredibly monotonous. Every single day was exactly the same: breakfast always consisted of just four types of eggs and basic cheese. The menu never changed, and there weren't even simple options like porridge.

Inconvenient location: The walk to the beach is quite long. To make matters worse, the path to the sea cuts right through noisy shopping streets and tourist stalls, which makes the walk tiring rather than relaxing.

Dirty towels: The cleanliness of the linens was another major issue. Almost every time we received "fresh" towels, they were stained with foundation, mascara, or other random spots. The housekeeping staff simply replaced dirty towels with other poorly washed ones

3* at best
Pros:

Reception staff awful, so unhelpful and don’t care to help you- never felt this way in a hotel of this rating before. In our stay there was no water through the taps or shower for majority of one day- the reception didn’t want to help weren’t apologetic and didn’t care. Had rowdy neighbours and one receptionist said they’d move us in the morning and when we went to move the other receptionist said the opposite and couldn’t move us-poor communication.

Lifts are awful- if you are visiting with individuals in wheel chairs or pushchairs you can barely fit in so would definitely avoid

Only one bar open at a time- ques are then awfully long

Entertainment is below average

If your sat by the pool lots of the umbrellas are broken

Positives:
Food- good
Newly renovated rooms and cleaners are friendly

Take your ear plugs
Pros:

I booked through TUI and this is a hotel I would not return to. The noise was a constant issue, with large groups of young men and women running around the corridors late into the evening. On the first night, reception said they would sort the noise problem, but nothing changed. After two sleepless nights we asked to move rooms. It was quiet for a short time, but then another group arrived and the same problems started again on the new floor. After a 10 day stay, I think I only had about four peaceful nights of sleep. The walls are thin, the doors are not soundproof, and the hotel can feel quite loud overall. The lifts are very small, three lifts that only hold four people each, which meant long queues at busy times. The dining setup was not ideal either. If you arrive within the last 20 minutes of service, most food has already been cleared away and nothing fresh is cooked. It is definitely better to arrive early for meals. Do not leave it to the last half hour, as everyone seems to do this and the selection becomes very limited. The all inclusive drink menu is also quite limited, and the drink token system is a bit confusing, especially since you are given a new glass each time anyway. My friend is a vegetarian and her main course option every day was simply vegetables in a cream sauce, which became very repetitive. If you are a non smoker, the outdoor seating may not be enjoyable due to the smell of smoke. Overall, the hotel did not suit what I was looking for, mainly due to the noise and general atmosphere.

Girls trip for 50th celebrations
Pros:

I am just back from a girly holiday. We found the all inclusive drinks options extremely limited. The cocktails were disappointing however if you were happy to pay €7 each time you wanted on they were nice.
All the staff and I mean all of them were not helpful, anything you asked for was an inconvenience or you were simply given a shrug of the shoulders. On our first night none of us were able to have a shower (14 of us spread over multiple rooms) when we questioned this were told 'no water in Palma' all the roo.s couldnt access any water, thankfully this was only one night but were told off some guests its a deliberate thing done to save on water (dont know how true that is though). The safe is ridiculously expensive. The air conditioning is useless and the fridge doesn't keep anything cool nevermind cold. Accessing free water is limited to one machine in the restaurant and its warm. This is extremely disappointing because clearly they want you to use the paid for vending the machines dotted around the hotel instead.
The food was nice, very similar each night but I enjoyed what I had.
On arrival you get a wristband and w tokens, the tokens represents a plastic cup which you return at the end of your day to get back yoir tokens (great idea to reduce plastic waste) however this means you can only get two drinks at a time at the bar. When you are with more than two people and offer to get some drinks in for the group you cant.
The bar staff were rude to some of our guests. You are not welcomed with a smile at all, more with an expression of annoyance. We are a group of women in our late 40s early 50s, it is not a rowdy hotel at all so no need for the stern faces!!
The rooms were a good size, the cleaners will not take away any dirty cups and you wont get your glass in the bathroom washed either so hope you dont mind dried toothpaste stains around the edges all week! The nicest ladies I met were the cleaners, thank you for your smiles, at least you appreciated us visiting yoir beautiful country

Rude staff
Pros:

I stayed for a week in all inclusive on a girls holiday. Our experience with the staff was not very positive, and we often felt as though every thing we asked was an inconvenience. Especially at the pool bar, when ordering a drink we didn’t receive any smiles or conversation. The food tastes fine, although the “themed” nights are often serving the same thing. There is no kettle in the rooms and the safe is a ridiculous amount of money each night. “All inclusive “ only offers a few cocktails with the classics like Pina Caladas being €7. The snack bar however was very nice. The beds were comfy and it is a very close walking distance to the beach.

What went wrong?
Pros:

This is our 5th year visiting this hotel and wow it’s gone downhill.
Reception staff extremely rude and dismissive especially Migel.
We had two rooms. One beautifully cool on one sweat box. Twice it was reported to reception. Maintenance came twice and instead of cool air I got a shoulder shrug and told something new for a stupid English woman. SPAIN IS HOT!
Strangely I have been one or twice before and in temperatures a lot higher with no problem. This was a conversation echoed by many guests around the pool. So they must have a massive problem.
Pool area very dirty pool green with scum around the tiles. A comment made by guests a few months ago……. Nothing has changed this hasn’t been addressed pool side unclean we dropped coffee on the floor day one. It was still there 9 days later. Lifeguard is everywhere but anywhere near the pool. Eva on the pool bar looks like she is serving a prison sentence. She hates all people.
The restaurant is good for breakfast and lunch. But evening meal poor and often cold and undercooked especially if Bob is cooking.
Please don’t feel the need to respond with the usual customer service and hygiene are very important to us. Your staff have been there for years and if the haven’t learned to smile yet I doubt they ever will. As for cleaning its basic if it’s dirty wash it . Training over .

Disappointing
Pros:

3/5 stars

Our stay at Globales Mimosa was okay overall, but there were too many frustrating details for it to feel like good value.

The food was very basic and repetitive, and the drink selection was poor, particularly the pre made cocktails. The drink token system also felt unnecessarily inconvenient and frankly idiotic for an all-inclusive hotel.

Some staff members were friendly, but others were noticeably rude. We also had repeated issues with our key cards dying and needing to be resynchronised by staff which became tiring when the response was often unfriendly.

The biggest concern was black mould on the outside of the air-conditioning unit. Maintenance brushed it off onto the floor and said it was good enough, despite the room still being warm. That did not feel properly dealt with.

There were also lots of extra charges for things you would normally expect to be included. Paying €23 to rent an iron and ironing board was shocking, and even basics such as a kettle in the room came at an extra cost.

Overall, it felt like guests were treated as another number rather than valued customers. It was not a terrible stay, but there are definitely areas that need drastic improvements.

Globales Mimosa
Pros:

Hotel was relatively clean, although we requested cleaning the day before leaving and the room wasn’t clean. The hotel runs on minimum staff I.e. always having to wait to get served for a drink. You are given to plastic coins to get a drink x2 per person, meaning if there are more than 2 of you, you can’t get drinks for others, even if they are soft drinks. You also have to take your glasses back to get your coins back, therefore nobody is cleaning the tables.

I drank the vodka on the first evening and had the strangest of dreams which I have had before from cheap nasty vodka. I ended up having to purchase my own bottle of vodka from a supermarket. My friends had to purchase bottles of their drink too as what’s on offer is very limited.

The food was very basic and on certain theme days it was hard to put together a meal and I’m not even a fussy eater.

The rooms were nice and so is the pool area, although there wasn’t space between sun loungers, so best to try to get the end ones. The pool isn’t open before 10am, so if you like an early swim it won’t happen.

Palma Nova is a really nice place but I can’t say I would recommend the Globales brand. This has been my 5th visit to Palma Nova.

Family stay
Pros:

Just returned from an 8 night stay here with my fiancé and our two year old. I was apprehensive about staying here as I read quite a few negative reviews before I arrived but overall this is a good place to stay.

We paid 15 euros for early check in as we wanted to unpack and get our toddler sorted out which we didn’t think was too pricey and made sense to just get into our room.

I had seen negative comments about the all inclusive food which I think is quite unfair. For an all inclusive hotel, I would say the food is above average. Something for everyone and actually nice. They switch it up daily and have different themes - tapas, Mexican etc

Cannot fault the cleanliness of the hotel, rooms were cleaned daily and housekeepers were always friendly towards us and our son.

Plenty of sun loungers around the pool and no need to get there early to reserve beds. The pool is big enough for there to be several people in there without feeling like you’re on top of eachother.

Location is good, 5 minute walk to the beach and shops. Bit annoying walking up a slight hill in the heat with a pram but we managed.

The only downside to this hotel which did infuriate us on several occasions was the lifts. Firstly, they are TINY. Trying to get in with two adults and a pram was bad enough but with suitcases on top of that was pretty impossible. Our room was on the third floor and on several occasions we were waiting up to 10 + minutes just to be able to fit the three of us and the pram into a lift to be able to go to the dinner room or leave the hotel. The amount of times the lift would appear but we were unable to fit in as there was already a person or two in there. I’d read several other reviews on this prior and not thought much of it but when you’re standing in 38 degree heat with a screaming toddler waiting for their breakfast who can’t understand why we’re not getting into the lift for 10/15 mins this is a bigger deal
than I’d expected.

Overall, se had a nice stay and I would recommend this hotel to couples and maybe families who have kids who are able to walk up and down the stairs.
