An amazing 6 nights at the hotel mimosa. Food was varied and good. Hot food cooked in front of you daily.
Entertainment was great, started at 8.45pm, some nights there was bingo, followed by a quiz. Other nights a singer and disco. Animation staff were friendly and ensured everyone felt included.
All the staff work extremely hard to ensure that the guests have a great time.
Our room was quite small, it had a fold up bed and 2 singles pushed together. The bathroom shelf was also small, but we managed, and stored our stuff elsewhere. Location of the hotel was good. Supermarket next door and bars and restaurants a 10 minute walk away. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Thank you 😊
I think the staff were very helpful for the most part but the waiters weren’t so good
There are too many restrictions when you get all inclusive. You can’t get certain drinks you have to pay for them then it’s not all inclusive. The food wasn’t great the options were limited.
Food. Very tasty and staff very friendly
The food was great. Tasty and lots of options.
The lift was very slow
Location is good if mobile as lots of steps or hill up from beach. Nice atmosphere. Rooms are clean and comfortable and have what is needed for the time you would spend in there. Food is nice, good variety and access. Main restaurant and pool snack bar. Good cleanliness throughout. Not noisy in April, entertainment finished by 23:00 and no nearby clubs. Staff were all vey friendly and accommodating. The pool is not heated and there is not an indoor pool so for our visit we did not go into the pool. Lots to do if you want to get involved or you can just sit and relax.

La cama
Stayed here, food plenty of choice for everyone👍 hotel good
Only negatives queuing at the bar on an evening was a pain
And the lifts queuing was a pain
Overall would recommend ive booked again for October 26🌞
No issue at all great hotel , close enough to beach to walk . Clean tidy
3rd time going
Food great something for everyone, bar staff great and nice pool.
No issues at all rooms tidy and clean
Hotel nice location
Food good choice but sometimes cold
Coffee machines turned off at lunch and tea time. Not all of us want fizzy drinks.
Coin system good makes people take glasses back
Rooms.... absolutely shocking with the noise. Especially out the back in rooms 207/208 as all you could hear at 6am is lorries turning up, some sort of a stem sound which was so loud and went off until 7pm at night sometimes later.. what the hell is that noise. The walls are so thin you can hear every word your neighbour is saying.
Entertainment Paul the animation manager where was he the whole time? nowhere poor Lucas tried his best with everyone. He's a real credit to this hotel and yet he gets no support. Staff told us that the manager is new and dont let them spend any money on new things for Entertainment. So off we went into town.
Another memeber of staff that was absolutely great is
Kaia on reception who helped my daughter with her game. She was fantastic. Also like to mention Javi he was the super star and dinner. Would we come back on if you sort the noise out back and get some Entertainment!!!!!!!
we went here with high expectations, entertaintment is terrible, none throughout the day at all, and night time was rubbish, as paying guests like everyone, we expect some entertainment. Food was ok and plenty of choice, rooms and the whole hotel was exceptionally spotless throughout, pool cold but nice. Overall we wouldnt go back as we had to go out for entertainment, and this should be included in the price, queues at the bar quite long, drinks are ok though. We loved palma nova which is only about 5 minutes away. Shame about the entertainment as this lets it down.
So I have just got back from a little 3 night break away with the partner.
The hotel was nice and clean. Room cleaned daily.
I don't know if it was due to it being October, but there was nothing on that we noticed for kids.
We did see a little room which we think was a indoor kids club but you couldn't see through the glass. There were a few pick up machines hidden away in a corner by the pool and that seemed to be it. Im guessing maybe in summer it would have more to do. I wouldn't take my kids there.
The indoor food was nice. Big salad choice, a pizza corner, some of the usual food you would expect on all inclusive. Fish, deserts, bread, and meats.
The outdoor pool was good as you could help yourself. Though the food is covered, it is sat there all day in the heat so I didnt attempt the burger or hotdogs. Just the salad. After seeing a woman use her hands to eat the chips from the tray I decided against them.
The cocktail choice wasn't as good as other hotels, and it was like paint thinner so I lived on mimosas. Beer was okay also.
The pool area was nice, didn't spend much time in water but I knew it would be cold in October. Id imagine the loungers would be much busier in summer, but was quiet and lots available in October. Location was great. About a 5min walk down to the main strip in palma nova. A supermarket close to the pool side of the building. Gorgeous view of the sea. Staff were nice. Check in not until 2pm or you can pay 15euros for early check in. Night time entertainment wasn't great.
Two token per person drink policy. Lots of hotels seem to be doing that now. It guarantees you take you cup back for next one. The only thing apart from the cocktails I could complain about were the lifts. I was on the 9th floor. 207 steps (give or take).
The lifts only hold 4 people. Or 2 people with a suitcase each. They take forever to get to you. This is how I learnt how many steps it was to the top floor. I got jammed three times in the lift doors, much to my partners amusement, but never spilled a drink...
The doors shut very fast. I would hate to catch a lift in the summer season as you would be stood there all day. I'd recommend requesting a lower floor when booking. Or you could get a good leg workout if you prefer. Would stay again but wouldn't risk taking the kids due to not being much for them to do. Again, this could be different in summer. Giving 4 stars because of the lift situation. Everything else was nice. And comfy sun loungers. Pool opens at 10 but you can sunbathe before then. Lifeguard on duty each day. Not deep enough to dive. Only one section suitable for jumping in. And expect the usual nightime and afternoon queues for drinks.
Just got back from this hotel family off 3 with a 15 year old son location is really good a little steep hill if you have walking difficulties but otherwise fine
The hotel is clean staff are hard working, rooms were nice spacious and clean.
Would like to give a big thank you to the restaurant staff specially the chefs the food was good plenty off choices my son is gluten free and every meal time they told him what he could and couldn’t have but a lot off the food he could have anyway by they also offered to cook gluten free pasta and chips/cake so he eat well all week but too well 🤣
It saddens me to only give a score of 3 for this review as we love this hotel and the staff who work here. So what was right and what was wrong.
We have been visiting the Mimosa for many years and this was our third stay this year. As said we love the place and enjoy the building and the staff. The reception staff are friendly and welcoming certainly for us. The restaurant staff work hard to clear and reset tables and we enjoy the themed nights with food from around the world. Javi is a great character and always happy to chat although we do converse in Spanish. In the bar we must give a big shout out to Miguel and Francisco who work tirelessly to keep things flowing. On the animation team Lucas is a star and a credit to the hotel and himself. The rooms are of a decent size for two and the cleaning staff do a great job keeping them spotless. We had fresh towels when we wanted them and often when we didn't. Just next door to the hotel is an Eroski supermarket to get any things you need. The hotel is set on a hill so be aware that there are steps to be negotiated. The Mimosa caters for guests from all over the world so don't expect everything to be aimed solely at the English but they do a good job of keeping everyone happy within reason.
Now the reasons for the score of three.
Earlier this year a token system was introduced at the pool bar for the plastic glasses, you got a drink in exchange for a token and when you took your glass back to the bar you had the token returned. This was for ecological reasons to save on plastic waste. Fair play and I see that. This time however the token system had been introduced to the main bar where plastic isn't used. Because of this of the two barstaff one was constantly having to give tokens back or move empty glasses around at the end of the bar to leave room meaning the end of the bar was unsightly until eventually being cleared by one of the two barstaff leaving just one serving meaning the wait at the bar was much longer than normal.
The animation was a bit of a shambles and if not for Lucas would have been a total catastrophe. Monica did try but with little English she struggled to communicate. Paul the animation manager did not engage with anyone, if you spoke to him he was pleasant enough but he wouldn't approach you first and when you saw him he generally walked round with a clipboard trying to look important. Lucas approached everyone and tried his upmost to make things enjoyable for all even though tied by what he was allowed to do. Many of the daytime activities had been stopped, aquarobics which was popular didn't take place and the daytime schedule was reduced. In our second week the tv with the activity and entertainment schedules was off so no one knew what was on when. On a night there was no mini disco for the children even though there were a lot of children in the hotel and parents being told there weren't enough to justify the event. It was always the case for many years that in the pool there were no balls or inflatables allowed except for very young children making it more comfortable for those wanting to use it as a pool that rule has gone by the by. Nor were people allowed to sit by or in the pool with drinks also something that we saw a good few times. The lifeguards had little or no interest in what was going on in the pool one of them spending most of the day looking at his phone.
We don't know if these changes have been made at a senior level and enforced on the hotel but no favours are been done to either the guests or the reputation of the hotel and hope that things will be looked at during the winter closure and some of the changes made in our view for the worse will be rectified.
Yes we are returning because we have faith in the hotel and the staff so come on Globales sort things out.
