We loved staying at Hotel Petit Palais! The staff were so welcoming and accommodating and very keen to ensure we had an enjoyable time.
Phillippe was very knowledgable and entertained us with his stories about the local history.
The pool was a lovely added bonus because we visited in August and it was lovely to relax by the pool after a busy time sightseeing.

Stilvolles Hotel mit wirklich gutem Frühstück, was man aber wie so häufig gesondert bezahlen muss. Servicepersonal an der Rezeption sehr hilfsbereit
In einem Standard Zimmer für 200 € darf man erwarten, dass man einen mittelgroßen Koffer aufmachen kann und dann noch das Zimmer verlassen kann, weil die Tür aufgeht. Der Pool ist sehr vorteilhaft fotografiert, es ist nämlich eine größere Badewanne und maximal zum abkühlen. Und warum man nach einem baulich stilvollen Hotel die ganze Terrasse mit Kunstrasen auslegen muss, weiß ich auch nicht...
Quartier calme. Chambre très confortable. Animation jazz au bar le jeudi soir. Petit jardin et piscine. Accueil des chiens. Personnel attentionné.
Manque de réactivité à nettoyer les extérieurs après l’orage. Personnel du petit déjeuner un peu tendu.
Incredibly nice staff who were super helpful with transportation to and from the hotel via a private car. Very good air conditioning. Nice and cool even in a heat wave! Nice buffet breakfast and outdoor eating area.
Room was small but sufficient for our needs. Up in the hills and not close enough to the city to walk in. Needed a short Uber ride each time we wanted to go into town.
As you enter the hotel you feel immediately the relaxed atmosphere of the property as the welcoming staff help you settle in, get oriented on the city of Nice (wonderful if you haven't yet visited), places to eat and how best to get there. The rooms are well appointed and fresh, with the expected amenities but with a touch of class (Occitane), and breakfast in the garden terrace was all you could ask for.

The staff made a huge difference - people that greeted us and made us feel welcome every day <3 The room was on the small side, but with a spectacular view. Beds were comfy, good AC (although noisy and needed earplugs), high standard and well maintained bathroom with vanity set and good cosmetics, beautiful decor. There was complementary water in the room refilled on a daily basis. The room has a small fridge with mini bar. Outside relaxation area was big with a lot seating to work/chat/read, there was a little yoga corner. The dipping pool is tiny (2x3.5m) although clean and pleasant to relax, with ca. 10 sunbeds, pool towels and a shower. The hotel is small - you start to recognize guests quickly . The area is quiet and serene. Although we're very fit, the climb on a hot day adds up - the closest restaurants, cafes are 10-15mins away - in return steps target was hit every day! :)
Sustainability and frugality is cool, but not replacing towels when they needed replacement was hard to accept in a 4* hotel - I should not have to ask. We had gluten-free requirement, although the options were available, in practice they were limited to cereal and crackers, all in all not worth 21 Euro per person.
Cool property very authentic
From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed. The hotel has such charm and it is well kept and everything looks great. The rooms are characterful and spacious with modern facilities and extremely clean. The breakfast is just what you need in a morning and has a great selection.
The bar is well presented and we spent a lovely evening listening to Jazz there.
The pool area is petite but adequate for a city stay.
The staff are all fantastic - special mention to Kevin who went above and beyond to help book restaurants, activities and generally make our stay great
For the location it is about 15 mins walk out of the center but be prepared for a hill climb ;o)
We didn't experience any problems with our stay and there was nothing not to like.
