Windsor Hotel

What a delightful hotel! Atmospheric and individual, with friendly and professional staff. Our room with balcony made a lovely base for our holiday and we enjoyed the generous breakfasts (one highlight being the local lemon preserve) and excellent, reasonably priced dinner. The artworks dotted throughout were thoughtful, witty and fun, as well as accomplished. The Windsor is also very central, only about 10 minutes from the main station in one direction and the seafront in the other. And the hammam upstairs (very hot!) is a great place to recover after a hard day's sightseeing. Strongly recommended!

Wonderful location and very friendly and helpful staff. Shout out to Tessa! Some rooms are small but lovely patio and restaurant. Great value.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was quiet, well located, had friendly staff and good parking. We didn't try the outdoor pool or the garden given that it was mid winter.

Our short stay of 3 nights at Hotel Windsor was wonderful and gave us everything we wanted and needed. Staff were very helpful and attentive; the restaurant and food were both exciting and delicious; our room was more than comfortable and a haven from our various sight seeing trips; the hotel is in an excellent location which allowed us to enjoy the beauty and cultural richness of an amazing city. Thank you for letting us make real memories.

Super “quirky” hotel. Very clean, comfy beds and excellent shower. Very helpful staff. Easy walk to old town. What more could one want?

The Hotel location is the best feature of it overall. Close to everything you need for a wonderful city break.
Reception staff are friendly and couldn't be more helpful. The welcome drink was a nice touch.
Breakfast was OK, nothing special and a bit chaotic with us being approached 3 times for our room number today whilst we were eating. The bird poo from the luscious garden is problematic on the seating cushions.
The room we were assigned - no 123 wasn't anywhere close to the standard I expected. Carpet was grubby, paintwork was grubby, furniture in the room was cheap, and worn. No headboard on the beds gives it a feel of being at a hostel.
Noise from the street felt like our windows were open, so sleep was interrupted by everything going on outside.
Was surprised that there's no water in the room, except payable from the mini bar.
Not for me from a standard perspective, but was tolerable for a 3 night weekend break.

The Windsor is great hotel, it’s so central but not noisy. The staff are very helpful and obliging. The jungle garden is something else. Our room was spacious, comfortable and fully equipped. We would have no hesitation in recommending the Windsor to friends and family.

Excellent location, few blocks from the promenade and walking street. An easy walk to Old Nice. Fabulous atmosphere, helpful and friendly staff at the desk and restaurant. Room 476, the best! Spacious, bright, and quiet with balcony. Relaxing by the pool and in the lush garden, quiet and peaceful. Great dinner menu..as a side note it was fun to practice my Dutch! Highly recommend a stay there!

First - let me say the standard for 4 stars in the US is not the same in Europe. A 4 Star in Europe is really a 3 in US. Just saying... OK, so based on that. Service / Staff - it's outstanding. People are friendly and helpful. Checking in, morning reception - they are awesome. Outside "jungle" is terrific. It is beautiful! Really nice job. Rooms - they are dated and not great. Size was good and that was a plus. Nothing great about the rooms though. Location - within a 10 to 15 minute walk to beaches or main train station, so location is good (not great because not super close to one great thing. One note - Juliette or French Balcony - just because you think you have a balcony, you may not. They are only about 1" out. They are not what you think of where you can put a chair or sit and have a coffee in the morning or wine in the evening. Keep that in mind when booking!

Very helpful staff. Unusual ambiance

Location, location, location! We walked everywhere in Nice and when we needed an Uber to go more than 20 minutes out for dinner, it came within 5 minutes. I chose this hotel because we wanted a pool and the pool and garden were lovely but honestly, we spen pratically no time there. They had water quality issues sowe used the pool twice in a 6 days period and did not eat at the hotel as we preferred to explore. There were many breakfast places near the hotel.

Lovely hotel which is well located for the town centre and the railway station. Nice to stay in a privately run hotel with its own character. Service good and lovely setting. Food, especially dinner was great.

My fiancé and I loved our stay at the WindsoR Jungle Art Hotel! We walked directly to the hotel from the Nice - Ville train station (~10min) and were greeted by English-speaking front desk staff who offered us “Welcome” drinks of orange juice and coconut rum. Spacious room with a pretty big bed, and jungle-themed walls, of course. Great balcony, beautiful courtyard + pool. Delicious breakfast. Quick walk to many restaurants and the sea and just a bit further to old Nice. Proximity to the train station provided easy access to Menton and the base of the Nietzche trail at Éze-sur-mer. We came back to a very clean room every day. Highly recommend!

Pleasant stay and safe area. Quiet and peaceful.
