Pros:

I had a number of Athletes taking part in the Ironman on both Saturday and Sunday. I found the hotel basic but comfortable and very well catered for the athletes. Bikes were allowed in the rooms, breakfast was made easily, the rooms are quite and location for the event village was perfect. The staff are superb and friendly and very willing to help. Great stay.

Pros:

The breakfast offered was the typical continental variety; it was satisfactory, and the location was excellent.

Cons:

Upon arrival, the reception staff could have been a bit more helpful. I understand it was a busy time, but we were only given our keys with no information about breakfast times or its location, as well as general information about the hotel. It would have been nice to receive more assistance during check-in.

Pros:

Hotel ottimo anche per famiglie, camere pulite, colazione più che buona, posizione abbastanza centrale e piscina curata.

Cons:

Dopo le 17 In piscina non c’era quasi più il sole.

Quando la professionalità c'è e si vede
Pros:

Struttura bellissima e curata. Stanze pulitissime grazie all'apporto delle signore delle pulizie che si distinguono per efficienza e cortesia. Il personale del ristorante, dallo chef al maitre, ai ragazzi impegnati nel servizio ai tavoli è il fiore all'occhiello di Athena. La location è perfettamente equidistante dal centro storico e dalla spiaggia, tutte raggiungibili a piedi in pochi minuti. Soggiorno promosso a pieni voti. Da ripetere 👍🏻

The location

Cons:

The room was very basic and absolutely no sound proofing. You can hear everything even people just talking in neighbouring rooms. Restaurant was closed. Bar was dead. Supposed to be 24 hour reception but 3 times I had to help myself to my key as nobody there.
Breakfast was just ok.
No water in room , no kettle , no iron ( couldn’t even borrow one !)
Young lady on reception was very helpful and polite. She did her best to deal with my disappointment!
Would not recommend. 4 nights for €600 is far too much.
Every piece of furniture needs an upgrade. Looks like nothing has been done in this hotel since the 80’s !

I would use the hotel again.
Pros:

The breakfast was exactly what we required and the hotel even laid on an early breakfast as many of the guests were competing in the Ironman event which started at 07:30. The location of the Hotel was very close to the event which was a bonus.
The hotel managed to arrange a taxi to the airport at a good rate which was good as the trains and been unreliable due to the flooding in the area.

Cons:

Was not able to hand in the key when going out but was asked to take it with us. This meant that there was always a potential to lose it.

Nice hotel but room for improvement.
Pros:

Decor was very good. Very large meaaures of shorts. Location excellent.

Cons:

Having to get the car park opened every time i went out and in to the carpark. Not being able to leave key at reception. Having to push to get the room i paid for via booking.com.
