Great location, lovely staff, but be sure to stay in a room above the main lobby

The hotel location was unbeatable, rigth at the foot of the Alhambra outcrop. And the staff were fabulous: warm, welcoming, and could not do enough to make our stay a success. And when we didn't get on with our first room they immediately moved us to a far better one without any resistance. Really lovely people.

Cons:

Our first room was in the annexe next door, not in the beautiful pillared lobby area. I'm afraid it was disappointing - dingy, small and with no proper outside view. The main windows overlooked the narrow courtyard, facing all the other rooms, so that inconsiderate people returning late made it hard to sleep.

Buena ubicación sin embargo con muy mal acceso

Cons:

Una de las peores experiencias hoteleras que hemos tenido. El hotel podrá tener encanto histórico, pero eso no justifica el nivel de deterioro, suciedad y falta de confort.

El acceso es difícil, el mobiliario es antiguo y las habitaciones son lúgubres, con muy poca luz natural y prácticamente sin posibilidad de ventilación, salvo algunas habitaciones concretas que sí tienen vistas. Nuestra habitación estaba llena de polvo y el baño fue especialmente desagradable: encontramos restos de heces pese a tener una cinta que indicaba que había sido “esterilizado”. Además, había un olor pestilente a desagüe y ruidos constantes procedentes del alcantarillado.

Las sábanas y toallas estaban deterioradas y rotas, las almohadas eran durísimas y el colchón estaba viejo, duro y con los resortes claramente vencidos. Descansar bien fue prácticamente imposible.

El desayuno fue igualmente decepcionante: huevos revueltos fríos, café de muy mala calidad, poca variedad y cantidades insuficientes, hasta el punto de que los huéspedes tenían que disputarse lo poco que iban reponiendo.

En conjunto, fue una experiencia realmente desagradable y muy por debajo de lo esperable incluso para un hotel de 3 estrellas. Cuesta entender la cantidad de valoraciones tan positivas que tiene, porque nuestra experiencia fue exactamente la contraria. No lo recomendaría y, desde luego, no volveríamos.

Si pudiera poner menos de una estrella, lo haría.

Hotel con encanto y una ubicación inmejorable
Pros:

Habitación amplia con una terraza acristalada con encanto desde donde se ve espectacularmente la Alhambra. Ubicación inmejorable al lado del Albaicín y del centro. El personal del hotel súper agradable, les indiqué que iba hacer una pedida de mano a mi pareja y quería una habitación con encanto que se pudiera ver la Alhambra y fue todo un acierto! También me prepararon un pack romántico y se adaptaron en todo momento sin ningún problema.
Sin duda volvería a repetir!

Cons:

El agua de la ducha se salía un poco al abrir la puerta y tuvimos que poner una toalla en el suelo para poder secarlo.

Mooie lokatie en authentiek gebouw maar heeft aandacht nodig.

Mooi authentiek gebouw midden in het toeristische Alhambra gebied. Dichtbij jet centrum

Cons:

Kamers waren erg gehorig, douchen, wc gebruik van andere gasten waren luid en duidelijk te horen in onze kamer door de houten plafonds. Onderhoud laat te wensen over, kitranden verwereerd, badmeubel defect en airco met een eigen wil waarvan we ons sowieso afvroegen wanneer deze voor het laatst een schoonmaakbeurt had gehad.
