The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The majority of the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is great for exploring the city. It was easy to get a local bus from the main bus station close to the hotel (the hotel kindly sent me instructions on request. Iy felt like a safe neighbourhood with the police station round the corner and plenty of people around in the evenings. Check out was later than normal at 1200 which was handy and I was able to leave my luggage at the hotel without charge.
The room does not have its own tea and coffee making facilities. Instead there is a vending machine costing 1 euro but the drinks were unpleasant so wouldn't recommend. There is a kettle however so I bought my own teabags but forgot milk. I asked a member of staff for a tiny splash for a tea but she seemed quite annoyed with me and told me I would have to pay 1 euro for it or pay for a breakfast (which looked bland and not at all appetising). She was really rude and continued to be so the next couple of days when I went to get hot water. She stood out because the rest of the staff were the complete opposite. Its a small hotel so I feel bad being negative but good service is really important and I wasn't asking for the moon.
