Hotel Sorriso

While the evening staff was very welcoming and the room large, everything else in this hotel was extremely disappointing. The shower was tiny and the water flow was hardly a drizzle. The room was basic and the furniture - old. Breakfast was basic compared to standard Italian hotels, and most tables in the restaurant were filthy with leftovers and crumbs from previous guests. I definitely do not recommend this place.

Old hotel, and some of the old charm is still there.
Not sure of the cleanliness, first room we got had a filty bedcover, so the clean sheets underneath had a lot of other peoples hair and other particles on it. We got a new room imideatly though, this one was ok and with less «old hotell» smell.
Breakfast was good enough, but just canned fruit. Buffet, good cleanliness here. 5 minutes from the old town.
The solarium is without chairs/tables, and is in a really bad shape, but you could obviously have a sigarette there.

Hotel tranquillo, provvisto di ampi corridoi e camere ben insonorizzate. Grande pulizia ovunque. Il personale è gentile e professionale. Ottimo il ristorante con cucina gourmet.

Sorriso means smile, but our stay didn't really leave us smiling. We were disappointed in the dated condition of the room furnishings, the location and surrounding area, the lack of hospitality of the staff, and the overall depressing experience. We wish we could have found a place in Foggia, but it was all booked up.

Viaggiando spesso per lavoro, sono sempre alla ricerca dell'hotel come fosse casa mia e quest'hotel lo è: personale gentile, ottima pulizia in camera e in bagno. Mentre per quanto riguarda la colazione è di tutto merito giusta in qualità ed assortimento.

We enjoyed the walk near town center but we were disappointed that no restaurants were open for dinner.

We booked this on the day thru Expedia, from the car as we were travelling. Reviews looked ok and we were happy with it on arrival. Appears to be in a rundown area but can't complain about the rooms. Breakfast was great. Wifi constantly dropped in and out & our friends couldn't connect at all until they went to ground floor.

Lucera itself was a surprise package - we walked into town and were delighted with what we found. The central piazza was alive and although we missed the main Aug 15th celebrations, there was still lots happening. We all loved it!

Rooms a bit tired but thats the only negative i have!
Staff friendly...food was excellent...very surprised! Lovely lounge area on my floor outside room. very happy for price. highly recommend

We stayed at the Hotel Sorriso for two nights, the first being a Sunday when the restaurant was closed. The hotel is located out of the centre of Lucera, and an uphill walk is required to reach the town's sights. Both the town and the area surrounding the hotel were noticeable for the prevalence of litter and dog muck. The Hotel Sorriso appeared to be the only available accommodation in Lucera. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and we had an excellent meal on our second night, and the breakfasts were excellent. We had a problem with the room not being serviced on one of the days and the staff were most apologetic and insisted that we had a bottle of wine as compensation.

This is an old hotel in a small Italian town in Puglia. The room was decent size the bathroom was actually very nice and front desk staff were either very friendly or indifferent depending on who's there. It was about a 10 minute walk to the center of the town of Lucera. The breakfast was sparse but not that different from the typical European breakfast.

This room was large enough for five people and five suitcases to stay in comfortably. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.

Closest place to stay while visiting relatives in Troia, 10 miles away.
