Really nice ,staff really friendly and helpful, really clean, and good food . And Mireia and Toni really helpful and nice ,all the staff it was nice.
Thank you
Recently returned from 11 nights at this hotel. It's a lovely hotel and the staff are very friendly. The rooms we had were clean and the beds made daily. We were half board and, for me, there was something to eat everyday, however my dad struggled just a little bit as he's a very plain eater and quite fussy. Despite that, he praised the restaurant and the staff. I was in a room with my dad but when we got the key, they had put us in a double bed. My daughter was in with a family friend and luckily their room had 3 beds so I stayed in there, rather than having to go to reception and ask them to reallocate. The rooms were a great size, plenty of storage and the balcony was a great size overlooking the outdoor pool. We were on the first floor and close to the lift which was great for my dad and our friend, who both have mobility issues.
Pros
Close to beach and shops. Superb location.
Beautiful decor including a couple of old cars
3 pools to choose from including a salt water indoor pool, which altho not warm, was definitely warmer than the outside one.
Plenty of sunbeds as there is a roof top area that has different types of sunbeds and also tables and chairs
Super friendly staff including one guy in the restaurant (didn't get his name) who kept me supplied with watermelon (even after I'd left the restaurant, he bought me some to a side door. Really appreciated that 🥰).
Great food from the poolside bar
Generous sized rooms (and balconies) which have a kettle and fridge.
Shower was amazing, and didn't drop temperature which can sometimes happen.
Safe in room which you don't have to pay extra for
Really good wifi
Mobility scooters/ walkers available to rent
Cons
No entertainment in the hotel however there was an entertainment room, which you accessed via the adjacent snack bar, from which you had to get drinks and they were not included in the all inclusive package.
The entertainment was only for 1 hour a night and there was no animation team to keep you entertained before the visiting artists, which started at 9.30pm.
All inclusive you could access from the restaurant and pool side snack bar, no where else.
Unfortunately there were an awful lot of flies which were a pest, more so in the adults only pool area. Not sure if the hotel could have sprayed anything to deter them. Not the hotels fault but it did put you off going up there.
There were no lifts to adults only area, nor toilets, so for those with mobility problems it could cause issues.
Toilets. For such a big hotel, the toilet locations weren't the best.
Overall, I would definitely recommend the hotel and hopefully will return
Vi havde to overnatninger på Rosamar spa. Pænt, rent og lækker morgenmad. Kommer gerne igen.
Location: stunning, could net get any closer to the beach. Spectacular views. Coast line beautiful. Loads of shops and plenty of restaurants.
Hotel: staff friendly and helpful. rooms very small. Food wasent 2, my liking, always cold warm at best. We went all-inclusive, not worth it. There are not enough bars to get drinks from. No atmosphere at all. Room very small and not very clean, cleaned myself one day, balcony never swept or mopped in the 5 days we were there. The best thing about the hotel is the location. Meant to be a four star hotel, more a 3 at most.
Hôtel très mal isolé, et les chambres mériteraient un rajeunissement.
Nothing too much trouble, staff so friendly.great location..loved it.
Weather threw a few obsticles via Thunder Storms but luckily at night.
Would definately return.well run and very clean.
Atmosphere really relaxing and good value..
MUCHOS GRACIAS..
First the POSITIVES. Reception staff were lovely and helpful as was security guy who helped when ever he could. Plenty of sunbeds available and pools not over full. Adult only pool and day beds appreciated.
Very close to the beautiful beach and a lovely walk up the castle/folly which we enjoyed. If you want to snorkel go far right on the beach where the rocks jut out there are fish there and water is calmer and feels safer. It was difficult getting in and out close to the hotel unless you are fit and strong and not many different fish to see there either, so walk along the beach for 15 mins to enjoy that area.
Had a lovely trip over to Tossa de Mar on the ferry, well worth the 32euro each return , very pretty and glass bottom ferry was cute and fun.
NOT GREAT was the food, it was luke warm at best with no hot plates available, which might have helped.
We had to arrive for breakfast at 8 on the dot and 7 pm dinner, to ensure we could eat it as wasn't completely cold. Even then it wasn't hot.
Coffee is only available in the mornings not evenings which seemed very penny pinching for 4 stars.
No free drinks at all that we could find in evenings apart from a tap water urn that when gone was gone and that went fast.
Food was very repetitive sadly, the items being grilled changed, so nothing to look forward to. In our experience it was adequate but not enjoyable and having to arrive early was a pain as a lie in on holiday would be nice.
I had thought that wine was included but I was told definitely not, Alcohol prices were reduced if you paid full board.
If you are vegetarian it is very difficult I had to give in and have chicken couple of times as the offerings had no protein and was not great at all.
Ice cream was available every meal and a range of cakes but they were pretty basic not what you would hope for in a 4 star.
The rooms particularly bathrooms are very dated but usable and ok. Showers were old but good.
We were unfortunate I think with our cleaner who basically did as little as possible. Sink was not cleaned once, or taps toilet appeared untouched, we had to ask for toilet paper.
Complimentary coffee etc was never refilled. To be fair the advert said there was no kettle in the room, so we bought one and brought it with us but there was one there?
Cups provided were paper/card and it seemed that the four we got on arrival was all we could have, so glad we had brought little mugs with us.
I gave up and cleaned myself as she was quite unapproachable and angry looking, maybe she had a bad week IDK but it was annoying she also walked in on one occasion after a quick knock on the door without waiting for any reply, bit embarrassing actually, realised there is a sneck lock used it after that.
It is right on the beach where people are having fun and entertainers are singing loudly so take earplugs if that might bother you.
The entertainment we saw in the hotel was poor a DJ arrived and we turned up and sat amazed as half a dozen people sat there while he played ancient music, not what we expected at all, naturally we left as four others did.
The flamenco was ok but the outfits were more primark than flamenco which did take the edge of it sorry ladies.
You can attend the Grill l'avi Pere restaurant on site free in an evening which we did twice, this was better than the buffet and staff were lovely in there but there was a very small unchanging menu so wouldn't want to attend more often.
We did enjoy our holiday with shops and bars close by, but changes are needed to bring the hotel up to scratch.
Great friendly hotel. Clean but dated rooms, with no working UK tv channels (various other language channels work fine). Restaurant food is great and always something for most tastes. I'd recommend skipping the a la carte though, it's awful and in need of a rethink. We all left there knowing why lesser known cuts of meat (beef flank steak for example) are lesser known.. It was a very fatty and tough strip of beef, better suited to stew i.e. hours of boiling, rather than a "steak" as described (was really not good when cooked "medium", expecting a normal steak).. It's definitley worth getting a sea view room if you can.
Although we probably won't be coming back, we have made the most of it...
I have just returned from the Hotel Rosamar and Spa. We were a family of 4 adults and had booked two standard rooms. I contacted the hotel before travel to request rooms by each other and a pool or sea view if possible, the hotel explained that none of the standard rooms had a sea or pool view and that we could ask on arrival however they were currently showing as full in all rooms. On arrival we had been given rooms next door to one another so didn’t ask about changing to a delux room for the view. The rooms were clean although if you were to sit on your balcony you would be looking into the hotel room of the next door hotel. This wasn’t a problem for us as we didn’t sit out there long and we like to be nosey.
Hotel was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. We liked the location of the hotel, just over from the beach and we seemed to be at the quieter end of Lorett De Mar. We stayed for three nights and were half board. We ate really well 2 out of 3 nights, on the second night (chicken fajitas and bbq ribs) On the third night my son struggled to find anything other than chips (he is a fussy eater) the foods were broccoli nuggets or chicken wings in a sauce, so we left and went to a restaurant that was in front of the hotel and that we were given a 10% Off voucher for when we checked in. We only went for breakfast one morning, it was ok but we didn’t see any cereal, although I wouldn’t put it past us to have missed it but I did look at what people were eating and didn’t see anyone eating anything that looked like cereal. The sausages etc were ok but we went out the following day to eat locally instead.
Overall we liked the Hotel Rosamar and Spa, we were only there 3 nights, the rooms were small but comfortable. Good air con and maids come in every day with fresh towels.
Definitely not a 4 star hotel. Rooms in need of renovations, reception staff VERY rude at times and same food choices every night on all inclusive menu. Sadly disappointed.
Just back from 10 day stay. Party of 6 in 3 x rooms.
2 x60 yo 2 x 50 yo and two teenage girls.
Reception. No issues found them to be polite and helpful (particularly Anna)
Rooms
410/409/2006
Best describe the rooms as 'tired' . Smallest bathroom (6x3) with a 3x 2 shower)
We had 1 x bottle of water the other rooms had none. Nothing replaced for the duration of the stay. Really mean on the hotels because they refill the water in house.
TV in any of the rooms had no UK channels for 5 x days complained x 5 x times they eventually got a tv repair company the repair.
Food
Biggest let down in the hotel. Breakfast was ok.
Lunch/dinner. Luke warm bland food on cold plates. Zero show cooking No beef/pork/chicken/BBQ cooked front of house. Same basic grilled poor cuts of meat everyday. Nowhere near what in would expect from a 4* hotel.
One of our party is a celeac who does not eat red meat. Hotel made no effort to provide anything other that pasta/chicken and fish when they had it.
Avi Pere (dinner service) in house restaurant. I be sounding like a food snob here believe me i am not, the food in this cafe is appalling. 6 x meals noboby finished one.
3 x chicken skewers ( i could cook them were everage) 2 x steaks which can only be described as uneatable, toughest steak i have ever tried. 1 x sea bass on uncooked potatoes. Waiter removed uneaten plates without even asking if there was a problem. The food was that average we found a gluten free restaurant(saint elms) in town where we went 3 x nights (All extra cost to an AI holiday)
Outside area/pools
No poolside side food is included in the AI even hot dogs ect are 9 euros. They even charge you 3 euro for a bottle of water. Adult area was good no mad rush for beds plenty of quite areas to read a book.
Summary.
Not a 4* quality establishment. The manager should visit hotels like Aqua in Icmeler or the puerto blue in mallorca who make some kind of effort for celiacs. And invest in a plate warmer
All this said the women would come back because of its location and outside area.
I would not because of the poor/cold food quality
Tout a été parfait équipement amabilité du personnel tranquillité confort
Avec 2 points particuliers à souligner le personnel à l’accueil parle français et un restaurant grill qui remplace le buffet
Que du bonheur et nous sommes prêt à revenir
Besondere Danke Evelina von Rezeption sehr hilfsbereit ind kompitent
We visit the hotel for forth year, and this time we were a bit disappointed by the reception service, diplomacy and politeness. The cleaning of the rooms and hotel areas was perfect, the restaurant service- too. Maybe we will get back next year again if the prices remain the same or as good as possible.
Overall our stay was good 4* not 5* because of broken AC in the room. My husband, 13 months old toddler and I travelled from the US 7 hours flight & 6 hours time difference. Then 1 hour of train ride & taxi 30 min rideto the hotel and we checked into hotel room with broken AC. We reported it immediately as it was summer June around 85 F and humid. Front desk lady came up to the room to help us to adjust AC properly. However, it was broken. Then she informed us that engineer guy will come to the room shortly to fix it. We waited 15 min no one came. Therefore, we had to wait more than 40 min for the engineer guy to come, while we all including a crying toddler were exhausted. We had no choice but to come down to front desk 2-3 times with a crying toddler in my arms to complain about the room, only after 3rd time front desk lady finally made a decision and showed us a smaller room with working AC. Question: is that a hotel policy to remedy hotel guests experience only after guests come down to FD 3 times to complain? If that’s the case, then it’s a terrible customer service. As far as I know, hotel staff shall respond within 15 min or so or simply change the room. Because it is not guests fault that they checked in to the room with broken AC.
Otherwise, the front desk ladies were quite responsive, courteous, and professional. Maria helped me to book bus tickets to the airport. Very grateful for that. Restaurant staff were very friendly and super nice with a toddler.
We booked this hotel as a last minute holiday with a travel company. Once we had booked it we then looked at the reviews, which I know was silly. Once we had read them we were a tad worried. We didnt need to me, we loved this hotel, the location is perfect, right near the beach, but far enough from the noisy night life of Lloret de Mar. Loads of places to walk around and explore. The hotel itself. Firstly the reception staff could not have been more helpful, we had an incident in the middle of the night with our room a couple of days into the holiday, they immediately relocated us (4am) and the next day found us another sea view room which we had booked and paid for. All done seamlessly without any fuss and they could not have been more apologetic. The sea view rooms have absolutely stunning views. The beach is gorgeous. We went half board, the breakfasts you couldnt fault, apart from not the hottest we have had and the evening meals were great, a good all round selection. The hotel has a wonderful adults only area, which has lovely comfortable seating and a smallish, but well needed pool, with little seats right down the side so you can get in and cool down. Unfortunately this was the only downside to the whole week. On our last day a large group of holidaymakers booked into the hotel and they had several under 18 year old children with them. They all submerged on the adult only area and proceeded to take up all the seats, this of course is fine as they have paid for it as much as anyone else, but the children also came up with them. There were probably around 6 under age children and they were fairly noisy, but they then all got in the pool, and although there were people sitting around in the pool they proceeded to play noisy ball games, throwing the ball from one end of the pool and splashing everyone and being very vocal. There is a perfectly adequate childrens pool, which is much larger than the adult one, was very disappointed that although hotel staff walked by the pool and through the adult area on a regular basis, this was never challenged and in fact one member of staff administered first aid to one of the children whilst in the adult area. As it was our last day we just left and spent the day on our balcony. It was a shame, but definetly didnt change our view of the hotel and glad we didnt listen to the negative reviews. Will definetly go and stay again.
Overall the service was ok, only two things made the experience bad. First of all the rooms are that clean, 3 days nobody cleaned our room and second you can not get any drinks at the POOL BAR if you are wet. For me, the second one is hilarious.
The food is great, for every taste, and child friendly, the rooms are ok exept for the cleaning.
Very close to the beach
The location, near to the beach and restaurants.
The corridor to the lift a little bit long
