Hôtel Le Roncevaux

We spent two lovely days in Pau and were delighted to be guests in the Hotel Le Roncevaux for that time. It is an older hotel but is nicely upgraded with all modern conveniences. And the location in Pau is perfect for the visitor. The staff was friendly, courteous and made the extra effort to ensure our satisfaction. I recommend the hotel without any hesitation!

2 soirées étapes , personnel tres agréable parodoxal avec l’hôtel peu entretenu, dommage car il se trouve dans une de plus belle rue de Pau .
Lit peu confortable, chambre grande , sans âme , pas de déco, isolation thermique et phonique inexistante,
Dej : 12€ tres médiocre , pain et viennoiserie mise en place la veille pour le lendemain matin
Tout est fait à l’envers sans compter que les serviettes de toilettes sont pliées par le personnel à l’accueil , on rêve !!!!

Das Hotel ist nur wenig hundert Meter vom Bahnhof, bzw. der Seilbahn und dem Zentrum entfernt. Sehr gute Lage, alles sauber und gepflegt, freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal.
Insgesamt absolut zu empfehlen.

Parking poza hotelem, śniadanie średnie. Na plus lokalizacja.

Hôtel propre, très bien placé dans Pau et en plus avec un parking. Tout était bien. Un bon choix.

Hôtel propre et bien placé. Bon accueil mais chambre qui devait être disponible à 15h00 n a était disponible qu a 18h30. La réceptionniste a fait de son mieux pour nous satisfaire. Déception pour le petit déjeuner qui n est pas extraordinaire

Economy stay with zero frills. Premium room was spacious but property is aged and in a bit of disrepair. Shower leaked onto bathroom floor creating a large river and pools of water on an already spongy floor.

There is no air conditioning in the rooms but they provide a small fan and the windows fully open. In a heat wave, however, prepare to be a bit stifled.

Staff is friendly and multilingual. Note that you cannot check in early so must wait until 3pm but can store your luggage to go eat or explore the city.

Hotel is a block and a half away from the funiculaire up from or down to the train station so its location is excellent if you are not picky. Plenty of restaurants and a Monoprix within walking distance.

+:Hôtel très bien situé ( centre historique) parking privé pour 10€/nuit.
-: Clim qu’au 3e étage. Nous étions au rez de chaussée , pas possibilité d’ouvrir la fenêtre, car pas de volets/store.
- bruits toute la nuit de porte ( à côté du hall d’entrée)

Lovely positioned hotel in centre. Rooms clean with good shower and towels. Staff lovely.

Séjour convenable. Hotel est assez vieux, mais propre. Personnel très sympathique.
Ok pour une nuit de passage.

PDJ décevant et réceptionniste ayant une forte odeur de transpiration, embaumant tous les couloirs de l’hôtel et la chambre lors de sa venue pour un disfonctionnement du pommeau de douche

Situado en pleno centro de Pau, a 10 minutos de la estación de tren. Personal muy amable.

Staff are very friendly and lovely. They have great parking - book in advance. Great location for central Pau. The hotel is very tired and you don’t need to look too hard in the corners to see dirt and grime.
