Stayed here with my 2 children
Hotel was clean, staff were so friendly and helpful
Spa was amazing and food was great
Possible it’s one of the best hotels I have stayed in.
It’s close to the beach and town and it’s ideally located. Will definitely return
We travelled as a group of 4. 1 couple and 2 friends.
Rooms are modern and spotless. The bed was comfy and the huge walk in shower was powerful and always hot. There was a small fridge but no kettle which didn’t matter as we took our own travel one. A large tv had some English channels but didn’t check how many.We had a quiet road view, sitting on the balcony was very pleasant. Housekeeping was every day, friendly efficient service.
The pool area was clean with plenty of beds, tables and chairs. There was an additional sun deck on the upper level with further loungers and the double bed style ones as well. We didn’t do the spa but the indoor pool and spa facilities looked good. Drinks were cheap €3 a decent size wine, the snacks were fresh and very reasonably priced. Two barmen stood out for their outstanding, welcoming and efficient service. Thank you very much Jose and Juanjo. Just one small point- still a few reserving front line sun beds and going out Perhaps reception could deal with this by taking them off as I noticed reception staff were making regular trips to check the pool area.
The restaurant was clean and the friendly staff worked very hard. Breakfasts were great with a huge selection including English traditional. Evening meals were varied - a selection of Spanish, European and English.there was plenty enough choice. Paella, grilled fish, meat grills and the usual selection of salads, pasta, potatoes, veg and much more. Desserts were good. The delightful lady that cooked all the show cooking single handedly was amazing and a huge asset to the hotel. We purchased a decent bottle of wine for€8 and the staff put it in the fridge for the next day. Small queues sometimes for the evening meal but after a few minutes the very well organised manager ushered you to tables.
We had entertainment every other evening and it was a decent hotel standard. The atmosphere was relaxed and a mixture of Spanish, European and English mingled for dancing. Again thanks to Jose for making us so welcome and his quick, professional service. Drinks at the bar were reasonable I paid €5 For what looked a triple vodka and a bottle of mixer.
Overall I would rate this hotel a 4 Star rather than 3 for the facilities and quality. We have already booked again for next year.
After travelling to very many Spanish Costa’s and islands we have fallen in love with Tossa. It was completely authentic. The beach was lined with traditional Spanish bars and restaurants and the bays were beautiful. The old town area was classy for a resort with the cobbled streets filled with boutiques, traditional craft, patisseries and plenty more. The castle was stunning, views from the top were amazing. Taking all this into consideration we were surprised by the reasonable prices in the shops and for food and drink.
The bus service was easy to navigate. Every half hour into Lloret then every half hour to many resorts or towns.
We can’t wait to return.
Lovely hotel
Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Hotel is very clean as are the rooms.
Double or twin have no tea or coffee facilities though.
Lovely pool area and pool bar.
Hotel is in a great location, 5 mins walk to all the shops etc.
We only paid for breakfast, which had plenty of choice.
Only disappointment was the scrambled eggs and beans weren't hot, just luke warm The English sausages are not good at all, so I would avoid those.Everything else was lovely.
The last night we paid 14 euro each for dinner, but the veg was cold.
Plenty of other choices to have which were hot
I'm having a great time here.Food is very good. Lovely staff. Special mention to the lady on slow cooking station and the cleaning lady for room 116.Both are a real asset to the hotel.
We have just come back from this hotel. It was very very clean. Located in between the old and new parts of Tossa de Mar, both a 5 minute walk. The staff worked hard on the restaurant, constantly filling the food in offer, or clearing up. The food was so varied from asparagus to snails. The show cooking station serving freshly cooked items, served by a very enthusiastic lady. I agree with some reviews that some of the dishes could have been a little hotter. At night the water was free. In the room there was a fridge and a free safe. The rooms were refurbished lady year and are lovely. Entertainment every other night was fine. I have to praise Mohammad on reception he was so helpful and pleasant, especially helping when I needed a doctor. Definitely going back
Great place to stay in Beautiful Tossa, hotel very good spar is free and very good food ok always something to take your fancy Breakfast excellent staff very nice have stayed many times and will again I hope 🤞
Friendly service, concerts took place every other day, rooms were cleaned regularly. Beautiful hotel, great service, food, everything was perfect, I recommend it and thank you.
Lovely hotel, not loud and noisy, 5 mins gentle stroll to the beach. Food was far better than expected, lady cooking breakfast/dinner was an absolute star....just a lovely relaxing experience. Will definitely be back next year
We normally stay at Golden Bahia but many years ago when we first visited Tossa we stayed at the Costa Brava. We decided to stay here once more and was not disappointed. The hotel is still as clean and welcoming as it always was. The staff were absolutely lovely. Friendly and helpful, our room overlooked the road (330) and it was spotless and comfortable. Shame not to see Edwardo at the bar but presume hes long retired. The food was great quality with plenty of choice. This hotel has always been in a great location. Bar Pano2 is opposite and thats great for a relaxing drink before bed. Wonderful hotel and we will be coming back next yesr. The one and only thing i would like to see is Coffee/tea making facilities in the room, but it didnt spoil our stay.
We have enjoyed our 2 week stay at the Hotel Costa Brava, we found the twin room comfortable and clean with a nice balcony with a street view. Nice that the room safe is free there is no tea or coffee facilities in the room but we brought our own travel kettle which was very useful.
The food was mostly nice with great choices, so always something for everyone.
The swimming pool was very quiet, and a sun bed always available. We loved it that there was no pool music or entertainment so we could relax and read, we didn’t use the spa so can’t review that.
We have a few negatives which did affect us a little.
Firstly the noise in the evening, so so noisy from the entertainment. I think it was worse as there are no soft furnishings to help dull the noise. The sofas were quite unforgiving in style so no comfort and no help to minimise the noise. We went every evening to the Don Juan Hotel over the road were they had lovely comfy sofas and the entertainment was more contained so they got our custom every evening.
Our other disappointment was if you bought a drink from the bar you couldn’t take it into the restaurant. You could get drinks in the restaurant but to be honest it was so hard to attract the staffs attention and if you did manage to you had almost finished your food before your wine arrived. So we just didn’t bother but enjoyed our drinks at the Don Juan Hotel after dinner. So we had a nice holiday despite these issues. We went to Blanes on the Ferry and stayed in another hotel overnight and visited the Tropical Gardens. We also went on the local buses to Girona for the night, which we enjoyed greatly.
So we have no regrets staying at this Hotel but the noisy evenings and difficulty getting a drink with our dinner would make us not return. Tossa De Mar is a lovely place to stay with lots to see and enjoy.
Very nice resort, very clean and a good location. The staff is very helpful and the breakfast and dinner package is quite good with a good variety.
Lovely hotel.. friendly staff ..rooms cleaned every day .food good.. location very good . Recommend.worth paying extra for pool view.
Once entering the hotel & during our stay, all the staff were welcoming , friendly & professional. The rooms are spacious, clean comfortable. The food was delicious, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from for every taste. The pool are is very relaxing with plenty of beds. The hotel supplies towels with refundable €10 charge. It was very good value for money, we stayed for 7 nights & it was our 2nd time staying here. We would highly recommend the GHT Costa Brava & Spa.
Great Hotel ,fantastic location, staff lovely food amazing x only down side no kettle in room 😀 missed my early morning coffee on the veranda x
Family of 2 adults and 2 teens visited for 6 nights at the end of August.
Approx 2.5hrs coach transfers from Barcelona. Would recommend private taxi. Coach transfers drops at main bus station which is approx 8min walk to hotel.
Hotel on the outer of the town rather than the busy centre, within 5 mins walk to the beach, restaurants and bars and 10 mins to the main centre and castle.
Super friendly staff, especially reception and the live cooking chef who always had a cheery greeting for everyone at breakfast and dinner. She is so lovely.
Spa access included was great, with a steam room, experience showers, experience pool, jacuzzi and heated loungers. Hit and miss on how busy but we used with ease a fair bit.
Nice size pool with plenty of loungers, no massive morning rush or saving of loungers and they get good sun coverage.
Rooms a good size, with TV, balcony, bath with shower over. Daily housekeeping where required.
Bathrooms equipped with shower gel, shampoo, hand-wash and a vanity tray with comb, soap, tooth care and various other packets.
Food was of a good varied buffet style offering, cooked breakfast items on the live cooking with cereals and fruit, pastries, breads and cakes, cold meats, cheese, salads, jams. Dinners were themed night each night with live cooking station, plus again with cold meats, cheese and salad, pasta option each day, chips or similar, various breads, 2 main dishes and sides. Standard desert selections. We had one fussy beige eater with us and he managed to always find things to eat, the only day he struggled was the seafood/fish themed night.
Evening entertainment inside bar lounge, very lo key.
Good range of local and international drink brands served speedily by the bar staff.
Only negative were the beds were so firm verging on hard which resulted in an uncomfortable nights sleep, could also have done with a second pillow.
Pool table entertained the teens along with table tennis. There was a mini club but with older kids we didn't use so can pass no comment but looked thw standard day offering with the usual mini disco before late eve entertainment.
Absolutely have no quarms in recommending, would absolutely go back.
Renovated room. Good location. Sometimes the dining room was very crowded. Friendly receptionist. She met all our requirements.
Our stay at Costa Brava in May was absolutely delightful. The hotel has a fantastic vibe, relaxed yet professional, and the recently refurbished rooms are finished to a high standard. Everything was spotlessly clean, and we especially appreciated the convenience of having a fridge in the room. That said, the real highlight of our stay was the staff. Every team member we encountered was friendly, professional, and welcoming. I’d like to give special recognition to Mohammed at reception, who was always kind, patient, and went out of his way to assist us with anything we needed. He truly made a difference in our experience. Also, a huge shout-out to Ana at the hot plates counter - her energy and friendliness are out of this world! She brought such a joyful atmosphere to every mealtime. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Tossa de Mar.
