La tranquilidad y el bufé

Personal atento y encantador desde los/as recepcionistas hasta el simpático socorrista de la piscina.
Nuestra estancia en el Catalonia Oro Negro (Playa de las Américas) ha sido fantástica, destacando por encima de todo el excepcional trato humano. Desde el primer momento, los miembros de la recepción, Víctor Manuel y Mónica, nos recibieron estupendamente y con muy buenas maneras. Son unos auténticos profesionales que transmiten que realmente les gusta su trabajo.
Un punto importantísimo para nosotros fue la atención médica y dietética: mi pareja es celíaca. Días antes de llegar les escribí para avisar de dicha situación y me respondieron rápidamente que no habría problema y que avisarían a cocina. ¡Dicho y hecho! Al pisar el buffet por primera vez, todos los componentes del equipo de cocina y salón ya estaban al tanto de nuestra situación. En todo momento se acercaban a preguntar a mi pareja si todo era de su agrado agrado y si necesitaba algo especial. Tenían muy en cuenta el posible peligro que podía haber si ella resultaba intoxicada, pero al final, no hubo ningún problema y todo salió genial.
Queremos hacer una mención súper especial al equipo del buffet y, concretamente, al jefe de cocina, Luis Márquez, que estuvo pendiente de mi pareja en cada servicio y le cocinaba todo personalmente. También queremos destacar a Rafa, el otro jefe de cocina que le sustituía en sus días de descanso y que nos brindó el mismo trato excepcional. Aunque en el buffet había productos sin gluten, Luis nos explicó que quería evitar a toda costa la contaminación cruzada (no por la cocina, sino por el posible despiste de otros usuarios al mezclar cubiertos de distintas bandejas). Para estar 100% seguros, le preparaban los platos directamente a ella. Un detalle que nos ha ganado por completo.
En cuanto al buffet en general, es sumamente variado en las cenas (*NO* probamos el almuerzo). Ofrecen platos que no ves ni en hoteles de más estrellas, como entrecot o una paellera entera de arroz con marisco, verduras, etc.
Como aspectos constructivos y puntos a mejorar para rozar la perfección, notamos un par de detalles en la habitación:
La primera y más importante, la reja del desagüe de la ducha estaba suelta: Esto puede suponer un problema, ya que existe el riesgo de sufrir posibles cortes si la pisas mal. Nuestra recomendación para el hotel es que la sellen o la peguen de alguna manera por seguridad.
Mantenimiento de la cortina: Una parte de la cortina de nuestra habitación estaba suelta/descolgada.
Ruido del aire acondicionado: El aparato hacía excesivo ruido. No sabemos si es un problema puntual de nuestra habitación o si es algo generalizado en las demás, pero dificultaba un poco el descanso si se dejaba encendido por la noche.

Lo que más me gustó fue el tamaño de la habitación, era una habitación doble, y sobre todo porque tenía un baño completo y un aseo.
Yo diría que le hace falta una reforma o remodelación completa al hotel, sobre todo a las habitaciones, se nota que ya son antiguas y tienes pequeños fallos.
