Medplaya Hotel Regente

Read reviews before going and found they were pretty accurate. Hotel ok staff friendly except one particular bar staff who was obviously not in a good place emotionally as was quite miserable every day! Food very poor only ate in the restaurant 2out of 7 days. Room was clean and made up every day. Overall definitely not what you would expect for a 4 star hotel. Unfortunately we will not be returning again to this hotel.

Excellent service, cosy and spotlessly clean room. From breakfast to evening meal fabulous food and great range of choices. Very good value. Friendly and very helpful staff from reception, bar and room service. Great value for money. We were b and b but paid for dinner a few evenings - food was lovely, soups, salads, variety of mains and deserts with great selection of cheeses - everything you could want. 12 euro per person including a drink of your choice. I would highly recommend. There is also entertainment each evening.

Just returned from a 3 night couples break. Myself and my husband stayed bed and breakfast and after reading reviews beforehand were a little dubious. We arrived late but check in was quick, the room was perfect not huge but it didnt need to be, plenty of storage areas, big bathroom and spotlessly clean!! Throughout our stay the cleaners came daily with fresh towels and bedding. Breakfast was typical all inclusive but plenty of choice and all tasty, as per other reviews it isn't red hot but it didnt bother us . Pool area lovely and clean as well, pool was very cold but also very clean. Location is perfect 👌 5 / 10 min walk to strip and front with bars on the road as well but nice and quiet at night. Staff we encountered were all friendly. As it was a quick break we didnt stay in the hotel much but what we saw and experienced was spot on. Would definitely return to this hotel.

I had a fantastic holiday at this hotel. The staff were friendly, and chatty. They really went out of their way to keep us entertained. Food was delicious and catered for everyone's needs. The room had air con and clean towels every day. Natxo and the enternment team were brilliant. I will 100% come back to this hotel, as I had so much fun.

Not 4 star. View of rubbish from our balcony, staff wouldn't let us move rooms, silverfish found in the room, mould on the walls at breakfast, pool closed half the time.

Great hotel for Families ..Solos ..or Groups...Good area not far from beach but far enough away from the strip..for people who prefer that...but plenty of shops bars restaraunts nearby..All
Staff were really Friendly through the 2 week Holiday. Natxo the Entertainment Manager made the Holiday great .!!!!..acts on ..nightly ..fun daytime Games for Adults too
Rooms are spacious clean ..very Friendly maid ...Nice Restraunt & staff ..Im very picky but always found something nice to eat ..Good bar..Fab bar staff ..They Always had a Smile for everyone Thankyou again Regente 😃

Booked Regente with family & friends for my big 60th birthday. On our booking we requested a low level floor as I dont like small spaces so dont use lifts, we also asked if possible if we could have a pool view.
So pleased to say that both of our requests were met with a 1st floor corner room and a lovely pool & sun terrace view. The room was lovely & clean with a fridge, kettle and tea & coffee facilities. As it was march it sometimes got a bit chilly in the evenings There was warm blankets in the wardrobe,
The bathroom was immaculate with a walk in rain shower, Once you got in you didnt want to get out. Towels were changed every day, I have been in other hotels where this isn't done daily. We were really impressed with the maid services.
Food.... where do I start, lots of choice. Theres a few food different stations in the restaurant, salads, breads, soups, paella 😋 plenty of hot food choices & an area where food is being cooked in front of you. We certainly didnt go hungry. Deserts were delicious with choices of cakes, ice creams & lots more.
The pool area has ample with lots of sun beds & there is also a decked sun terrace which has the sun on it all day long, we as an all adult group loved this spot. The indoor bar also opens up onto this area.
The bar staff were always happy & friendly & in the evenings There was always one of them walking around making sure the tables & the room were clean.
We built a lovely relationship with them all.
Natxo the entertainment manager was none stop, as it was march there wasnt many children there but the ones that were absolutely loved him, he has the patience of a saint with all his "little monsters"
Nothing was too much trouble for him. he organised games each day for the kids & adults and every evening there was kids games, quizzes & different acts & shows, we especially loved The greatest showman. The medplaya performers were fantastic, we couldnt fault any of the entertainment.
Would I go again?
Absolutely we booked our next holiday there when we arrived home.

Fantastic stay at the Regente hotel as always.
We stayed at the regente three times last year. This a small friendly hotel and each time we go back the staff all remember you and make you feel like returning family.
From walking through the front doors when you arrive you are made to feel welcome. The younger man on the reception in the day time has a great sence of humour and the man on reception at night is such a nice man and loves you to stop for a chat.
The rooms are clean and we had the heating on to warm the room at night when we go in the summer we have the air-conditioning on.
The shower is good and hot, clean towels are provided everyday.
The food is good and caters for lots of different tastes if the food isn't hot enough there is a microwave provided but I like my food hot and I didn't have a problem.
Staff in the restaurant work hard and plates are cleared off the table as soon as you finish.
The bar staff are great and funny and if you talk to them they will have banter with you.
Natxo is the entertainment manager and works tirelessly to make your holiday enjoyable and one of the many reasons we return to this hotel so much, we had darts and pool tournaments in the day time as well as other games and the entertainment at night time meant you didn't need to leave the hotel if you didn't want to. He must see hundreds of guests but always remembers your name our grandchildren adore him.
The hotel is a short walk from the beach and has many shops and bars around it. It is a short walk from the strip but far enough away to not be affected by the madness of it.
I love this hotel and can see myself, my family and friends returning here for many years.

If you are looking for a hotel with a personal touch, the Regente is it. The staff are the real stars here; Naxto and the entertainment crew are brilliant, and the service in the bar and restaurant is top-notch. As a parent of an autistic son, I was so impressed by how inclusive and helpful everyone was—nothing was too much trouble. With spacious, clean rooms and plenty of food choices, it was a stress-free and wonderful holiday. Highly recommended!
