We stayed 2 nights for fast business and friend visit. The place is nice, clean, friendly and professional staff, not expensive, 3 minutes from airport, easy access from road, and with own free shuttle service to Santiago city centre. It has a particularity also….rooms are (or some are) “Villas” that consist on duplex room with private car park, really convenient to maintain your privacy. Unfortunately we couldn’t have enough time to try their restaurant. All in all…really good,
This hotel is impressive and the Villas are fantastic!
I really liked this hotel. Beds were comfortable, room was clean. The entire hotel was clean and in good shape. Nice/friendly front desk staff. And I really enjoyed the breakfast; fairly good variety and all the food choices were very fresh. They have a shuttle that’ll take you to downtown but I believe it’s unavailable from 1-5pm so just plan accordingly. Watch out for the bathtub, I found the bottom of it to be very slippery
We were part of group pilgrimage walking the Camino. This is the hotel we stayed after completing our walk to Santiago de Compostela Cathedral. The hotel is very grand in a beautiful location. The rooms were very nice. The lobby and staff felt very accommodating.
It’s too far to the center of town to easily walk. The hotel does have a shuttle van.
My recent experience at the Grand Hotel Los Abeto in Santiago de Compostela was a truly shocking customer experience!
After a long day of travel, my flight arrived late, and I checked into the hotel knowing the restaurant would be closed. I immediately asked the front desk if there was any food available. To my disbelief, the staff member told me the kitchen was closed and there was absolutely no food at all in the entire hotel!
This is completely unacceptable for a large hotel with what I can only assume is a massive kitchen. No snacks? No sandwiches? No room service option? The staff's response was a flat "no." When I asked if there was a vending machine for even a snack or a bottle of water, I was told there was none.
After traveling for hours, I was left completely stranded and hungry. I then asked if they could recommend anywhere nearby that was still open. The staff's response was equally unhelpful, offering no solutions or assistance whatsoever. It was as if they simply didn't care about the well-being of their guest.
The lack of basic hospitality and common sense here is appalling. It's clear that this hotel is not prepared to handle late-arriving guests and has no interest in providing a decent level of service. Do not stay here if you have any chance of arriving after the restaurant closes. You will be left on your own. My experience was a complete disaster and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Beautiful Hotel
Bed confortable. Bathroom ok a little slippery for me, Transportation was fine.
Very nice property
Great hotel , excellent food and the view spectacular . I will come back again
Grea
The Hotel is just at the edge of town in Santiago. However, they offer a shuttle service to downtown every hour from 10 am to 8 PM.
The hotel itself is great. We booked a villa and price was very good. Very roomy with a separate bedroom. Looks to be very new.
Definitely recommend this Hotel.
It was a good stay overall. They have great transportation to the center of the city every hour and back to the hotel.
Beautiful grounds around property, including lovely pool area. Spacious hotel with ample parking a few minutes drive from the old town. AC did not work one of the nights we were there...
We arrived at Santiago de Compostela in the rain and left in the rain with the extra baggae of a poncho!! Obviously this was not the fault of the hotel in any way and they did their best to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
Its situation is fantastic leaving those in the bedrooms on the city side with great views whereas our "deluxe room" had a great view of the car park with hourly interruptions from the beeping of the hotel shuttle bus backing into parking.
The reception, bar and restuarant staff were great but must pick out Elvis who ran the front of house at doinner single handed and with great ehthusiasm and fun. Unfortunately, room cleaners arrived at 10.30am and, on being asked to return in 30 monutes, did not reappear until late afternoon when we, having been out in between, were back and had made our own beds!
We had room service on the first night as, after a long journey, we did not feel up to waiting until 08.30 (instead of the usual 09.00 in a lot of Spanish Hotels) and, after three atempts to convince them that they DO serve it outside of dining rooms hours, it arrived. It is best summed up as being average althouh the vegetable soup was very good.
This experience almost put us off dining the next night in the hotel but being very chilly, we really did not want to drag ourselves into town. Thank goodnes we persvered as the whole experience was delighful, enjoyable and fun made possible with the excellent Elvis, it was the highlight of our stay which was otherwidse good value for money, enjoyable with comfortable beds and excellent bathroom, although quite a stuggle for an elderly person to get in and out of the shower in the bath,
Very pleasant, and would stay here again
The hotel has a beautiful garden outside. We enjoyed our drinks and food at the cozy bar/lounge.
The hotel is not close to the center of town but some people in our group were able to take a shuttle.
Other than having a bit of trouble with the key/fuse box, everything else was pretty nice in our room.
FYI- Wear clothes that don’t need ironing - no iron/ironing board in the room. (This was true for every hotel we stayed at in Spain, Portugal and France)
Nice hotel.
Not a bad place to stay - luxurious rooms and nice pillows. Staff unfortunately is aloof. Nice breakfast buffet; restaurant bar serves marginal food.
But the room is roomy and I liked the view, the town shuttle (limited hours) and the lobby is a great location to hang out with friends.
Increíble el personal de recepción, ya fui muchas veces y aún siempre me preguntan como si no me conocen
Más atención les vendría bien
