Borgo Il Melone

Sehr schönes Anwesen, aber leider nur von außen. Unser Zimmer war total alt und abgewohnt und hatte nichts mit den auf der Internetseite gezeigten Bildern zu tun. Wir hatten das Deluxe Zimmer gebucht, welches jedoch weder von der Größe noch von der Einrichtung den Bildern entsprochen hat. Im Bad war Schimmel an der Wand.
Die Dame an der Rezeption zuckte nur mit den Schultern, dazu könne sie nichts sagen.
Zum Glück hatten wir nur eine Nacht auf der Durchreise gebucht.
Das Frühstück war okay, typisch italienisch mit viel Süßkram und wenig gesunden frischen Sachen (es gab immerhin frisches Obst). Dafür gab es frisch gebrühten italienischen Kaffee. Das Servicepersonal beim Frühstück war sehr nett.
Den Pool können wir nicht beurteilen, da dieser geschlossen war.

Charmant petit établissement! Je recommande pour sa tranquillité et sa proximité avec la magnifique petite ville de Cortone.

Les points positifs;
1- Joli domaine: architecture de pierre, fleurs, boiserie, etc.
2- Son emplacement : à seulement 5 minutes en voiture de Cortone et à quelques minutes d'épicerie et de restaurants.
3- Tranquillité : wow! Aucun son, quelle tranquillité ! Comme les chambres sont réparties dans plusieurs bâtiments, les soirées et les nuits sont calmes.
4- Les chambres; Chambres qui sont plus spacieuses que ce à quoi je m'y attendais. Salle de bain un peu petite comparativement par contre.
5- Personnel sympathique.
6- Le déjeuner était bien: fruits, croissants, petits gâteaux, yogourt, oeufs et viandes froides.

Les points "négatifs":
1- Propreté de la chambre n'était pas parfaite et l'air conditionné ne fonctionnait pas.

La salle de bain était vetuste exiguë la douche difficile à utiliser. La chambre insonorisée on entend marcher et le bruit de ceux du dessus. Pas d'éclairage au parking.

We were initially uncertain about booking here due to some negative online comments; however, very happy we did! it would be difficult to pristinely maintain the property as it is historic and quite large, so if you’re looking for something with every modern amenity, this is not the stay for you. However, the property is a gorgeous setting and the buildings are quaint and charming. Our room was very spacious - a bit of noise transfer through the bathroom. Pool area is beautiful! Great breakfast with tons of selection. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location to easily access Cortona.

The staff made our stay extraordinary, helping with a pickup by FedEx and stayed late to let us check in when our flight was diverted to Pisa and we arrived after midnight. The other hotel guests, a couple of German ladies, were not that nice and complained when the night manager helped us with our luggage up all the stairs.

A bit disappointed that the restaurant is closed, we hoped to enjoy a meal there but there is no lunch or dinner available.

But the pool area is lovely and we loved staying at this place.

Tutto al meglio. Il personale soprattutto Riccardo e Samuele sono stati eccezionali. Speriamo di poterci tornare presto.

Hotel was ideal for a relaxed stay when visiting for a friends wedding. The pool area was lovely and the hotel very pretty. Main area for feedback was that the air con was not the most powerful so room was warm but not uncomfortable.

Excellent location, very close to Cortona. Amazing swimming pool, landscape, and service. The breakfast was also very good!

Easy to communicate with. Staff that was really easygoing and helpful. Clean and with a huge bathroom. We stayed a couple of hour by the pool after checking out, which was a good relief for us that arrived late the day before. Big pool and a quiet area. Overall a top place for us that was driving a cross Italy.

Hotel promedio, no muy cómodo.

Superbe hotel avec des chambres spacieuses et d'un beau style. Très calme et propre. Le personnel d'accueil est très sympathique et accueillant.
Petit déjeuner très copieux et varié.

Et lidt slidt hotel der har set bedre dage, men har alle faciliteterne man behøver

Fint område, likte Cortona veldig bra. Dårlige rom med dårlig aircondition. Kjøleskapet på rommet var ikke spesialt kaldt. Frokosten var dårrlig, men fluer omkring på maten. Basenget var greit, men de kunne ha kostet litt mer rundt bassenget, så man slipper å gå på stein. Solswngene var bra. Det ble byttet håndduker og rengjøringhver dag som er et pluss, og at det var godt med parkering da vi hadde leiebil. Rommet vårt lå rett over noen parasoller som om kvelden ble brukt til å sitte å røyke under, og prating på kvelden. Ellers var personale ok, men ikke veldig smilende og gjestfrie. Kommer ikke til å bo her igjen.

O local é lindo, pena que não está muito bem cuidado.
