Overall cute place but unprofessional and had a HuGE scare.
Pros:

The location was good. Nice restaurants and many notable tourist locations nearby.

Cons:

Although the location was good, the first night there were people hanging out downer below in the street until at least 2:58 AM making a lot of noise. It was hard to get some rest that night. The second and most major situation and problem was that we were LOCKED IN our room for over 12 hours! When we went to leave the room on our last morning to go get breakfast before our booked and paid for train ride to Zürich, we realized we were locked in. The door had an old-fashioned key lock where you needed to leave the key in the door to then unlock it when we left the room. When we went to leave to go down for breakfast on our last morning, we realized the key was not unlocking the door. We tried several times for at least 10 minutes and then call down to the reception desk. Reception came up and tried for at least 15 to 20 minutes and then called a locksmith. It took at least 30 minutes for the locksmith to show and he tried for another 20 and then decided to unscrew the screws in the lock to take the lock off the door. There seem to be no other option. We finally were able to leave the room and barely were able to get breakfast and had to hurry to our train that we already paid $200 for ahead of time. My partner went down and spoke with the reception gentleman and he said he was sorry, but since we booked the room through Booking.com, he couldn’t offer any compensation. Basically, if there was any type of emergency such as a fire or otherwise, we would have been locked in the room in the middle of the night! We came into the room around 8:30 or 9 PM and didn’t leave the room until almost 10 AM. All of that time we were locked in and some of it we didn’t even realize! This is a huge hazard and there are no ladders or balconies outside of the windows. We were on the fourth floor. We are asking for one night compensation for this scare. Please let me know. Thank you. I appreciate it!

Sehr geehrtes Team,

ich hatte ursprünglich eine Suite für zwei Personen gebucht und hierfür 390 € bezahlt. Bei meiner Ankunft wurde mir – was ich zunächst als sehr freundlich empfunden habe – ein anderes Zimmer als Alternative angeboten, sodass ich letztlich in einem normalen Zimmer übernachtet habe.

Bereits am Mittag hatte ich darauf hingewiesen, dass das Zimmer sehr kalt ist. Mir wurde zugesagt, dass man sich darum kümmern würde, leider war es jedoch die gesamte Nacht über kalt. Zusätzlich kamen aus dem WC aufgrund der Lüftung durchgehend Geräusche, die die Nachtruhe deutlich beeinträchtigt haben.

Am nächsten Morgen hatte ich einen Gast zum Frühstück eingeladen. Hierfür wurden mir nochmals 30 € berechnet, obwohl ich eine Suite für zwei Personen gebucht hatte.

Insgesamt bin ich daher sehr enttäuscht, da der Aufenthalt weder dem gebuchten Standard noch dem gezahlten Preis entsprochen hat.

Ich würde mich sehr freuen, wenn Sie mir in dieser Angelegenheit entgegenkommen könnten und mir eine entsprechende Lösung bzw. Kompensation anbieten.
