Ok, das naheliegende Hotel Turim gefällt mir besser
Pros:

Renoviertes Haus, zentrale, ruhige Lage um die Sehenswürdigkeiten zu erkunden. Modern eingerichtete Zimmer. Freundliches, hilfsbereites Personal. Frühstück kleine Auswahl, aber gut.

Cons:

Mein Zimmer und das Bad waren recht klein. Von der Dachterrasse war ich enttäuscht, man blickt teilweise auf eine Baustelle und/oder umliegende unattraktive Gebäude. Der Fitnessraum war viel zu klein, beengt, der Stepper quietschte.

Pleasant accommodation for a few days in Funchal.
Pros:

The location was good for exploring Funchal and loads of buses for venturing further afield with some good walking trails.
Plenty of restaurants and cafes to accommodate everyone’s choice.
Lovely staff very helpful both on the front desk and at breakfast.
We were able to get into our room early as it was ready which we were grateful for.
The rooftop terrace was perfect to relax at the end of the day and wonderful panoramic views.

Cons:

The room we had was quite small with limited wardrobe/draw space. We were only at this hotel for two nights which was fine. We would have felt cramped with our clothes if we were there for longer. We didn’t use the rooftop pool as it wasn’t heated and it was freezing. Some people may not mind this.

Byliśmy na tygodniowym urlopie.
Pros:

Obsługa na medal- pomocni, uśmiechnięci, życzliwi ludzie. Mieliśmy przełożony lot z uwagi na warunki pogodowe o 2 dni- panie w recepcji pomogły nam ogarnąć związane z tym zamieszanie, a nawet zrekompensowały w pewnej sposób te dwa dni straty. Dziękujemy!!!!
Wystrój super. Śniadania bardzo smaczne, mimo że mało urozmaicone, to nam to nie przeszkadzało. Można odpowiednio wcześniej zarezerwować miejsce parkingowe na prywatnym parkingu naprzeciwko hotelu- duże udogodnienie.

Nie mam uwag, wszystko super! 😀

High-end hotel in a perfect location!
We had an amazing experience. The hotel is top-tier and situated in a very central and convenient spot. The service was outstanding and the staff was simply excellent – professional, welcoming, and attentive to every detail. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality and comfort!

A perfect way to end an excellent month long stay on Madeira !
Pros:

The hotel and staff were excellent ! We had an early flight out, so we asked if we could have some breakfast before we left. At 4:30 am we went down to find there was coffee, juice, toast, cereal and some ham and cheese for us.

Cons:

Everything was excellent .

Fantastic staff, oversight on some service attributes, but would stay again.
Pros:

Great location.
Receptionist staff excellent, one lady who was on the late afternoon and early morning shift was exceptional. She showed relatability and was well informed, you rarely get staff with such warmth and sound interpersonal skills.
Food was basic at breakfast but good quality. Nice coffee, even though it was from a machine. Very friendly and relaxed staff working there, they looked as though they enjoyed their work and understood your needs. They just could not be more helpful.
Bar staff lady with a South African accent again was very good.
Lovely comfy bed. Good TV. Free safe, just what you need.

Cons:

Wifi not connecting in my room. Travelled extensively and had no issue elsewhere. I was in another hotel in Funchal before and it connected immediately. OK in the corridor though!
No bar on the roof so you had to go down 6 floors and staff had to be called by reception as they were elsewhere. (It needs a bell or something similar). However when called the staff came immediately.
The room had a strange smell (a bit like putty). No wardrobe, just a framed unit. Don’t really want to be looking at clothes hanging in the room, I like them closed off! Would have appreciated some water in the room.
The pool had very rickety steps, health and safety issue here. I swim a lot and am used to pool steps, but I slipped when coming out as it moved.
The pool towels appeared rust stained. Had to give refundable deposit, but no one would nick these. Ditch! Much better in previous hotel in Funchal, larger cleaner, softer and no deposit!

Wir waren begeistert und haben die nächsten 3 Wochen Aufenthalt schon gebucht.
Pros:

Excellente Lage mitten in Funchal. Alles Wichtige ist fußläufig problemlos in Minuten erreichbar, Kreuzfahrthafen, Marina, City Center. Seilbahn, etc...
