We stayed in this hotel for a night with family. It was a lovely relaxing stay and I would recommend this hotel.

Pros:

The views from the hotel are amazing. Rooms are large and clean and the swimming pool is a good size. The outdoor terrace area is lovely.

Cons:

Not really a criticism but I did find the staff could have been more friendly.

Výborná poloha, nádherný výhľad z reštaurácie.

Cons:

Nepríjemný personál, najmä v bare. Malý chlapík s čiernymi okuliarmi sa správal ako primitívny idiot. Bez akéhokoľvek vysvetlenia vypol TV a povedal dobrú noc čím naznačil že máme vypadnúť. Takto sa nesprávajú ani v poslednej krčme. Obzvlášť keď na službách človek zaplatí ďalšie stovky eur. Tento prístup kazí potom celkový dojem. Škoda.

Great location and view from our terrace room. The pool area was lovely and the bar.

Cons:

I didn't like the bathroom set up in the room. the shower was open into the room with the sink in the room. The toilet was separate, with no sink in the toilet room. If you want privacy when showering etc not the room layout for you. The door into the hall opened straight into the room so you could have just got out of the shower into the room and then someone open the door. I got carried away with the description of the terrace and didn't read the room set up properly.

Amazing Hotel, Wonderful Staff and Once in a Lifetime Views!
Pros:

The Catalonia Hotel Reina Victoria exceeded our expectations in every way.
We had a deluxe terrace room with balcony. The room was airy & spacious with an amazingly comfortable king size bed, made up with high quality white cotton linen. We has a separate shower which produced consistent & copious amounts of hot water and the towels where white and fluffy. Free body wash, shampoo, conditioner & body lotion were also available in big bottles, and a magnifying makeup/shaving mirror was a nice extra often missing in other hotels. The views from the balcony were stupendous - and the sunsets were to die for on every evening.
The whole hotel is spotlessly clean & all members of staff are professional, warm and friendly - even when under pressure.
The bar menu could be improved - for example - patatas bravas consisted of a bowl of chips with a huge splodge of undiscernible orange sauce. But generally the food was OK - if a little beige and unexciting - but fine if you want to stay around the hotel, swim in the gorgeous pool, or just relax and drink in the stunning vistas.
However, the hotels premium restaurant - the Restaurante Azahar - is a completely different experience! In the summer it is situated outside with breath taking, panoramic views across the Tajo. The food is imaginative and of an extremely high standard and the staff is attentive, knowledgeable and professional. The whole experience is amazing and romantic - as days morphs into spectacular sunsets, gentle music wafts in the air and lights begin to twinkle as the sun goes down and the stars gently shine in the deep blue velvet night sky. A must at least once during your stay!
In summary, our stay at the Reina Victoria went beyond our expectations - and we will return!
