RIo Park is a typical budget Benidorm hotel suitable for families. It was chaotic and very noisy everywhere - inside the building especially near the games area, reception area with huge queues to check in and groups of unhappy people waiting for hours for their rooms, around the pool, in the dining room so not very relaxing environment. It would have been nice to have at least one quiet area. We went out as much as possible and only used the hotel for sleeping but found the room uncomfortable as the air con was poor. This is a very average hotel and was expecting a lot better with its advertised 4 stars. It is a 3 star at best.

We stayed here 2nd week in July, myself, my partner and 6 year old. We've stayed here twice previously but it's not the same now. The restaurant is so busy, they were letting more in and there were no tables left.

Everywhere is starting to look a little run down now compared to our previous visits.
The pool doors now don't open until 9am, where as it was 8am on previous visits. The towel and sunbed situation is a nightmare with selfish people putting beds on top of each other to lie on, therefore not enough beds to go round. There were multiple arguments as people queue but some guests just walked straight to the front past the queue when the doors opened.
Entertainment team do their best and my son loves Emma in the kids club.

We won't be returning though unfortunately. Sunbeds are broken and it definitely isn't as clean as it was on previous visits. Our feet were black from walking around in our room. We loved this hotel on previous visits but it definitely isn't what it was before.

Stayed July 2026 expecting a facilities as it looked really nice on the internet. However, after arriving at 12 noon we were told we could not check in until between 2-3. So after travelling since the early hours of the morning I feel guests (all guests) are treated very shabby - not even a welcome drink to soften the blow !!! The room (305) overlooking the disabled scooter car park (and I understand someone has to have these rooms so it is not a complaint) we find that the air con was so poor it was not worth putting it on. After 3 visits from maintenance we were told “yes it is working”. All I can say is “yes it was making a noise but there was no cold air coming out “ so sleeping was unbearable. After asking for a fan we were told “no”. Come on Rio Park get your act together you call yourself 4 star but you do not provide 4 star facilities or service - very disappointing. The room itself was very basic, very small, 2 hard little beds pushed together and 2 flimsy pillows. Now the biggest shock of the so called 4 star hotel - if you wanted fresh towels you had to pay 5 Euros !!! The pool area was overcrowded with very little shade. The location of the hotel is a 10 minute walk from the lovely sandy Levante Beach but to get there you have walk past several loud and intimidating bars, drunks and drug addicts sleeping on benches and mattresses on the side of the road. It was an absolutely horrible experience. One good point about the Rio Park was the food it was surprisingly good but it was like eating in a zoo - unacceptably noisy and again not a 4 star experience. Don’t bother with the offer of 3 drinks for 4 Euros per day because you have to queue at the bar to get them and the only thing we wanted 5 do was escape for some peace and quiet. Needless to say I would not recommend this hotel for mature couples but if you have a few kids and like holidaying basic and eating in a noisy uncultured environment book it but make sure you get it cheap because it’s not worth paying good money for.

Yet again another brilliant time at Rio Park, only 4 days this time, but this was our 3rd visit to Rio Park this year and we are going back for Christmas & New Year.
Room was cleaned daily, didn’t eat in much but that was our choice, when we did eat in the food was hot, with plenty of choice, breakfast where amazing as always. Staff where friendly and polite and always happy to assist where they can, even from emailing the hotel before we left asking for requests, these where dealt with on our arrival. Keep up the good work,
