The hotel is perfectly located just outside the tourist congestion with amazing views of the city and the sea. The staff was so friendly and made you feel like family. The hotel is perfect for couples or families.

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Lara. The building is beautiful and away from the noise of the city center but close enough that you can walk to everything. The staff was so kind and helpful with suggestions of what to do for the day. Our room was lovely and well cared for. Breakfast was offered every morning and was delicious.

The location was not suitable at all you had to fight your way through Amalfi to get to it and once you got there you had another climb. It’s not just a ove the Cathedral in fact it’s nowhere near it. Not suitable for young families, the disabled or the elderly.
Hotel Villa Lara was a great find. It's well located just a few minute walk at the end out town. It was a little confusing to find the entrance but the staff was available by phone to help. You need to take an elevator up to get to the entrance and if you have limited mobility know that there are some stairs to get into hotel and to get to the rooms. We had a lovely room with a large bed and balcony. The common areas are also very nice with a few places to sit outside with lovely views. Breakfast was very nice in a pretty setting. Amalfi is very crowded and we found being at the back end of town was much nicer.

Una villa ristrutturata per accogliere diverse stanze ed uno spazio comune con una grande cucina dove la mattina ci si ritrova per una buona colazione con diverse scelte, dolci e salate. Un piccolo terrazzino con una bella vista sul mare. Il personale è veramente cordiale ed amichevole, capace di metterti a tuo agio come se fossi a casa. Qualche piccola sbavatura nelle stanze che può essere migliorata con poco. La vucinanza al centro è il vero plus. In due passi ti trovi nel centro con tutto a portata di mano.
Chambre de 3 parfaite pour la famille, petit déjeuner avec vue sur Amalfi et coin cuisine ouverte qui était un lieu de convivialité. Personnel aux petits soins et très sympa.
The property was in a beautiful location overlooking the Amalfi Coast. The staff were exceptional and very kind. The hotel was away from the main tourist area which was nice because it was quiet. The room was large enough. The breakfast was delicious!!!!!!!

Excellent hotel, the staff were all friendly, the view from the terrace is 10 out of 10. Breakfast options were very good, and it’s nice being above the busyness of the city centre. Nice and peaceful in the evening. The beach in Amalfi was beautiful, great swimming. I drove from Sorrento to Amalfi, I wouldn’t do that. Next time I’d use a bus or car service. Again, a really nice hotel..cheers
Neat character with incredible views that you can take in from adorable terrace area. Room nice. Well worth the walk up from the waterfront and then elevator up to villa. Loved access to still water, sparking water and juice all day.
Amazing room with a view. The owner was so nice as were all the staff. Breakfast was incredible and it was towards the end of the cute street by the main Amalfi Pier. Easy to get to our yacht cruise we had booked. I would definitely one back and stay longer!!!
