There are a lot of good things about this hotel. The location is brilliant, the outside space/pools are amazing and very clean, and the staff cannot do enough for you. The only thing that lets it down are the bedrooms which are in need of refurbishment. The suites have been refurbished and are lovely but the regular rooms need some attention - me and my husband had a suite and our teenage daughters had a regular room. The photos on the hotel website show the refurbished rooms including a walk-in shower and up to date decoration but this is not representative Despite this the housekeeping team is good and the rooms are very clean.

My partner and I recently stayed at this hotel, it was absolutely wonderful.

The staff were very attentive, always friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Special shout out to a young gentleman on Reception (didn’t catch his name but badge said he was in training) who have lots of advice on local places to visit and the best transport mode to get there.

Our room was lovely, clean and spacious overlooking the pools. We had fresh towels every day, bed changed and the room cleaned.

The pools were very nice and there was waiter service as well.

The hotel is on a steep hill, but we knew that before we booked and as we are quite fit the walking didn’t bother us at all.

All in all a lovely hotel that we would definitely return to.

The staff are all so super nice, we loved Pacco, so helpful and friendly! Comfortable bedroom, great breakfast and fabulous swimming pools. Hotel restaurant for evening dinner was very good, we ate there our last night when the weather was very hot and we thought we'd take advantage of staying in the cool hotel! The hotel is very quiet and our rooms were spotless.
Be prepared to get a bus or take a taxi to get to central Palma, Uber's seem more expensive on the island so avoid, local taxi drivers are chatty and you dont wait long for them. Easy to get a taxi back from the taxi rank near the cathedral.
2 minor things, the air conditioning is centrally operated so you dont have individual control in your room (except off/on) the temperature was fine in our rooms and
I only mention as some people feel the heat more than others and its nice to have your own control.Also, it would have been nice if housekeeping left a fresh bottle of water each day and not just on arrival. But this was not an issue for us as we bought some when we were out.

I visited for 10 nights with my husband and two adult children. The hotel is set at the top of a hill meaning that you are further out of Palma but it provides some of the best views Palma has to offer.

We hired a car for 8 of the 10 days and because I don't drink, it made it easy to get in and out of the city in the evening. There are regular buses and taxis available but you can also walk in about 20-30 minutes. The hotel provided free parking throughout the stay for our hire car.

The rooms were of a very decent size and standard and the cleanliness of them was highly maintained throughout the holiday.

The pools were of a really good size; which was the reason why we selected the hotel in the first place. They were always clean and waiter service was provided for drinks. The sun beds had thick padding which made them very comfortable and you could get clean towels every day.

There was a lot of variety at breakfast and as a vegan, I did not have to worry about having limited choice. I advised them on my first day and they provided additional food to what was already available for other guests. They also catered for gluten free guests too.

One bit of feedback would be that labelling should be provided at breakfasts so you knew if there were any allergens in the food. Sometimes it took a bit of guess work. Additionally, rather than bringing out everything every day in all the packaging, perhaps a selection could be taken of each as it remained out of the fridge for a long time and it was the same food items for my whole stay which worried me a little.

The staff at the hotel were lovely and attentive and they really tried their hardest to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We even had a friendly butler bot that brought food and drinks to the room. This was quite the novelty with my kids (and I must admit for me too!)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would definitely recommend it to others. I would not hesitate in booking again should we visit Palma in the future.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Valparaiso Palace Hotel and wouldn't hesitate to return.
The standout feature was the staff, who truly went above and beyond. We were celebrating a birthday during our stay, and they made it feel incredibly special with thoughtful touches that exceeded our expectations. The level of service throughout the hotel was warm, attentive, and genuinely first class.
The pool area is exceptional—beautifully maintained, with incredibly comfortable padded sun loungers that made it easy to spend entire days relaxing in the sunshine. It never felt overcrowded, and the whole atmosphere was peaceful and luxurious.
Breakfast was another highlight. The selection was excellent, but the real star is the view. Enjoying breakfast while looking out towards Palma Cathedral is a wonderful way to start the day and is something we'll remember for a long time.
The hotel is situated at the top of a steep hill, which is worth bearing in mind if you plan to walk into the city. However, this is hardly an issue, as taxis to and from the centre of Palma cost only around €10, making it quick, easy, and inexpensive to get around.
Overall, this is a superb hotel with outstanding service, excellent facilities, and spectacular views. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing luxury stay in Palma.

Felt slightly retro chic in common parts

Amazing resort, we loved it here, best pool in Palma, 2 things for us stop this being 5 star.

1 - the air conditioning, the rooms don't go cooler than 23c as the air conditioning is old, out of date and controlled centrally, we like our room cool but this was too hot at nights and despite the lovely staff trying to sort this to make it cooler, after several visits they could not and this is just what it is.

2 - the lunch offerings, they do not offer a light lunch option, a sandwich, pitta or wrap, they are big evening meal type dishes, the food is fantastic but I feel they are missing a trick here. We were clearly not the only people to feel this way as we, alongside others, ordered from uber eats who deliver to the hotel no problem but we'd have rather eaten here ideally.

These are the only 2 things for us that stop it being 5*, the hotel is fantastic, clean and luxurious, the staff could not be better either, if they can sort that air conditioning out we will definitely be back

Great location , Miguel and Alex were fantastic as were all the staff ,fantastic view from the room amazing breakfast selection something for everyone .
