Gorgeous, spacious room. Clean in every area of the hotel - room, toilets, bars, lobby. Everything you need for an all inclusive stay.
Right on the beach.
Leo in the lobby and night bar was fab, attentive and very welcoming.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the decor inside is really modern, and the staff are helpful. Leo our bartender was fantastic and so friendly. The buffet was set out really nicely and there were lots of food options and all labelled for allergens, but the staff would also help with allergens if needed.
The only downside is the pools are situated outside the hotel gates and are very cold, but the beach is right on the doorstep as an option.

If you want a quiet, clean room with great sea views. Good facilities and a good little beach. Excellent food and staff. You'll not go far wrong here!
The only drawback is that it's a bus or taxi ride to any bars, nightlife or shopping. Otherwise, I'd have given 5*
TIP: Take your firestick the wifi is excellent!

My Husband recently took me to Hotel Benalma for a birthday treat. We stayed for 3 nights in March and had a fantastic time. We stayed in a sea facing balcony room and absolutely loved waking up to the stunning beach view every day. The hotel was quiet and had everything we needed. We opted for all inclusive so did not go without. There was food (of some kind) and drinks available pretty much all day. We particularly loved the beach bar and the lovely man who served behind it. We were able to get all sorts of drinks there and sit facing the beach, they often did games as well, such as bingo, darts, jenga. There are always snacks (sandwiches, olives, crisps, nuts) available at the beach bar too, which we loved.
Sadly the small pool was too cold to get into but I'd imagine it would be nice in the height of the summer and heat. The large pool was closed for a refurb so we didn't get to use that either but it didn't spoil out stay and we still felt like we had enough to entertain ourselves (bearing in mind we were only there for 4 days).
The hotel itself is stunning, very elegant and classy. Lots of lifts available to get to and from your room easy. It has a gorgeous sun terrace with hot tubs and plenty of sunbeds.
The restaurant is also lovely and served a good variety of food and drink.
Our room was very nice, clean and well stocked and plenty big enough. Room service came in and made our bed up and tidied each day.
On one of our days we caught a bus to the marina (just 1.80 EUROS each) and strolled around the shops, marina and visited some bars - a really lovely day out. The bus stop is just a very short walk from the hotel reception.
A big shout out to one of the ladies on reception because she is an absolute credit to the hotel - Arantxa Robles- exceptional customer care - so polite, friendly, helpful, professional and so so lovely.
Over all, we absolutely adored the hotel and would definitely go back. In fact, I cannot wait to go back!!

Absolutely stunning views, we had a really nice sea view room on the 9th floor, huge bed and very comfortable.

Very disappointed in the food after reading such good reviews, if you eat meat you are okay if not be prepared to live off salad and plain pasta, if you want pizza it’s only out on a Saturday which isn’t good.

The main pool was closed which we weren’t made aware of, adults pool is small and next to building work. The beach restaurant wasn’t open either, just the bar for drinks.

Bus stops are right outside which is great and would definitely recommend going to the cable cars.

Don't be put off by negative reviews.
This hotel was a fantastic find. It's right on the beach. There's a wellness centre, children's play area, two outdoor pools, terraces etc.
The bedrooms are big and all faced the sea as far as I could tell and thoroughly cleaned every day. Toiletries were supplied and smelt lovely. Beds were really comfortable as were the pillows. The lobby is beautiful and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful wherever you go in the hotel.
Entertainment every night was very very good and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
Food what can I say? There was something for everyone and the quality was very very good.
The hotel is on the outskirts of Benalmadena but there is a bus stop right outside which takes you down to the marina or further afield to Fuengirola or Torremolinos. There's also a train station nearby. Taxis can be ordered from reception.
We will definitely be returning.

This is a lovely hotel. It is spotlessly clean and the staff are really attentive and kind. It is a big hotel, but it has a lovely welcoming atmosphere.
We had a few very minor problems with things, in the room, thstaff fixed them straight away.
I am gluten intolerant and the restaurant staff, made sure I had access to a variety of gluten free products each day.
On a couple of occasions we're needed to leave the hotel, before the breakfast service had started, they provided us with a picnic, contains fruit, biscuits uits, sandwiches drinks, cold meals and cheeses, at no extra cost.
The hotel is rated 4 star, but I would give it 5 stars on tbe service alone.

Great service and great hotel

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for relaxation, great service, and beautiful surroundings. One of the absolute highlights was the stunning view of the sea and Playabonita Beach. Waking up to such scenery every morning truly made the stay special.
The food was another strong point of the hotel. The dishes—especially those featuring fish and seafood—were exceptionally tasty, fresh, and well-prepared. Every meal felt like a small culinary experience.
I would also like to give special recognition to the staff at the main bar. The team was always friendly, attentive, and professional. In particular, Leo stood out with his warm personality and excellent communication skills. He made every visit to the bar enjoyable with his positive attitude and great service.
Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations, and I would gladly return in the future.

We recently stayed at Benalma Hotel Costa del Sol and honestly, it exceeded all our expectations. From the very first moment, the staff made us feel so welcome – their kindness and attention really made a difference throughout our stay.
Big shout out to Carolina , Hedy , Romina and all staff , you are incredible.
Our room was absolutely lovely – clean, comfortable, and with the most beautiful sea view. Waking up every morning to the sound of the waves was something really special and made our trip even more relaxing.

What we appreciated most was the atmosphere of the hotel. It felt calm, friendly, and well cared for, which made it easy to completely switch off and enjoy our time.

The food was also a highlight for us – always fresh, plenty of choice, and something different to enjoy each day.

Great hotel position a bit far out.
We stayed for a week.
Rooms and views very good.
The big let down was the food very little if any show cooking,everything sat in containers when you lift the lid off know where to put it and condensation dribbles off onto your plate or worksurface.sweets were almost identical and never any jelly for the kids.
My Wife been to this hotel 3 times and says it's the worst food she had seen here.all staff were pleasant just get the food right please

I want to begin by thanking Leo, the lovely gentleman on the lobby bar. He always welcomed us warmly and his helpfulness and friendliness never faltered the whole week. He always made us smile and we always looked forward to seeing him.

The hotel was very clean and had a lovely scent. The rooms were comfortable and modern, and the food and drinks were really good. The location was a little far out from the town but the taxis were really efficient and convenient.

Would definitely return. Yolanda in Buffet greeted us everyday with a smile that would make any holiday no matter the Weather.

We had a 6 day break at the Benalma. It was a lovely chilled out atmosphere with some of the best sea views we've ever had in a hotel.
The hotel is in a great location for an all inclusive, and about an hours walk away from the Marina area (10 mins in a taxi).
The rooms were spotless and the bed was very large and comfortable.
We thought it was good value. Plenty of food to choose from and seemed to be something for every taste.
The service was excellent both in the dining room and the hotel bar. We would especially like to thank Leo who was extremely welcoming and friendly.
We would definitely return for another stay.

Stayed six nights early March 26 for my daughter’s birthday, lovely bottle of Cava received in the room to celebrate that.
We were all inclusive and found the food to be very good.
Bit disappointed that the Thai restaurant was not included for one night during our stay like most A La Carte Restaurants are on all inclusive.
Lobby bar is a great vibe - staff are great - huge shout out to Leo who was so attentive, remembering our drinks every day and chatting away. He even asked me how my book was after I told him I was reading. A very pleasant guy, and you can see he is respected by the other staff too.
I can’t imagine how this hotel works over the summer season, very small outside eating area and small main pool (not open yet) but we will 100% be back early months of 2027.
