Benalma Hotel Costa del Sol

I want to begin by thanking Leo, the lovely gentleman on the lobby bar. He always welcomed us warmly and his helpfulness and friendliness never faltered the whole week. He always made us smile and we always looked forward to seeing him.

The hotel was very clean and had a lovely scent. The rooms were comfortable and modern, and the food and drinks were really good. The location was a little far out from the town but the taxis were really efficient and convenient.

Would definitely return. Yolanda in Buffet greeted us everyday with a smile that would make any holiday no matter the Weather.

We had a 6 day break at the Benalma. It was a lovely chilled out atmosphere with some of the best sea views we've ever had in a hotel.
The hotel is in a great location for an all inclusive, and about an hours walk away from the Marina area (10 mins in a taxi).
The rooms were spotless and the bed was very large and comfortable.
We thought it was good value. Plenty of food to choose from and seemed to be something for every taste.
The service was excellent both in the dining room and the hotel bar. We would especially like to thank Leo who was extremely welcoming and friendly.
We would definitely return for another stay.

Stayed six nights early March 26 for my daughter’s birthday, lovely bottle of Cava received in the room to celebrate that.
We were all inclusive and found the food to be very good.
Bit disappointed that the Thai restaurant was not included for one night during our stay like most A La Carte Restaurants are on all inclusive.
Lobby bar is a great vibe - staff are great - huge shout out to Leo who was so attentive, remembering our drinks every day and chatting away. He even asked me how my book was after I told him I was reading. A very pleasant guy, and you can see he is respected by the other staff too.
I can’t imagine how this hotel works over the summer season, very small outside eating area and small main pool (not open yet) but we will 100% be back early months of 2027.

We had a 9 day experience at this hotel all inclusive and had a mixed bag of feelings. Hotel very clean. Room cleaned daily and frequent bed changes so impressed with this.... room itself not the biggest, although plenty of wardrobe space... balcony not as stunning as advert claims... free easy to use safe which is a bonus...

Food was generally okay... always found something to eat but felt that the catering staff didn't keep full check on the dishes being plentiful, quite often near on empty 😕 as for show cooking never seen anything like what I've experienced in other hotels... drinks... despite being told everything was on offer there was no menu of drinks... wine was quite palatable...
Another disappointment being the restaurant overlooking the beach was closed but then also finding out that both this one and the Bthai restaurant advertised as having a choice of 3 restaurants, is the fact that you have to pay extra to use these despite being all inclusive
Disappointed that only adults only pool open...the much bigger family pool being drained, no mention of this when booking or when checking in....
Disappointed that the beautiful looking ( from photos)roof top terrace and bar area was closed... despite saying open from march. Sunbeds available but not very comfortable... Jacuzzis more cold than warm so another disappointment
Transport to local areas very good with local buses and trains, and exceptionally cheap if purchasing a green card from Tabac shops. In my opinion it would of been useful to have this information on checking in from hotel staff... this being our 1st trip to Costa del sol we were not aware and so after being refused access to a bus because we never had one, and they wouldn't take debit card or cash we found ourselves a long walk.

We had a quiet short break at this hotel and although we understand it’s off peak, we were highly disappointed that the main swimming pool was closed along with 3 of the 5 bars including the one on the rooftop. We were not aware of this when booking and had we known we would have booked a different hotel. When we contacted EasyJet holidays they looked into this for us and the hotel told them no pools were closed which we again felt let down by the hotel.
With regards to the buffet restaurant, the food was very good but we went for 3 nights which was long enough as the food is quite repetitive.
Some of the staff are very nice but there are others that were very unfriendly.
It’s lovely that the hotel is located on the beach and we had a nice sea view as it’s quite remote and nowhere to walk to that’s close by.
The rooms are basic enough but clean and bright and cleaned daily.
The cocktail menu is very poor. The snack bar food menu very limited but this did not affect us as we were all inclusive.
Although we enjoyed some down time, we will not stay at this hotel again.

First time visit to this resort. My husband and I had a seven night fully inclusive stay at this wonderful hotel. I cannot praise the hotel enough, the hotel was immaculate you could see cleaners work in all day in various areas. The food was very varied, there was something to suit everyone. A big thank you to the bar staff who looked after us very well, they remembered what we ordered in the week we were there. The hotel was about a 5km walk from the marina in Benalmadena, however we knew that when we booked the holiday. There are good transport links, a bus stops outside the hotel and the train station is a 10 minute walk away albeit up a steep hill. We would book this hotel again in the future.

The hotel is spotless , the staff are very friendly, great value for money.The roof top terrace was great with amazing views.
The hotel is a little way out from the busy areas but there is a bus stop right outside the hotel, we walked to the the marina in belamadina which was a pleasant walk and took around 45 minutes.

I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Its decor is beautiful, it’s clean and fresh. The layout is wonderful because there are several places to sit, drink and enjoy the stunning views. The servers are friendly and helpful- Patricia at the lobby bar was especially great. The all-inclusive is incredible value for money- the food is overall really good (a few dishes are too salty, but other than that there’s so much choice and tasty options). I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent hotel in every aspect. The service is very friendly and efficient. Room was spacious with a good bathroom.
Food choices are really interesting and varied in the restaurant buffet. All beautifully cooked.
My only slight criticism is that more drinks could be included in the ‘all-inclusive’ package (or perhaps offer an ultra-all-inclusive?) but that is really a small thing. We loved the hotel and would definitely come back.

The hotel was excellent in all aspects. We were a group of 20 golfers but there was lots of famillies there as well. There was excelllent entertainment on Floor 8 at the bar.
The beaches looked pretty private and it was well set out. Staff and guests were helpful and friendly.

Amazing experience ! Obviously we have to mention Leo’s attention was completely 5 stars. From Puerto Rico and Nicaragua , recommend this ! Nice view, perfect and Beautiful place.

Second time in this hotel. We went mid summer last time. Fantastic hotel - so glad we found it. Comfort, staff and facilities are amazing. Small restrictions due to off peak, but this was reflected in the price and we loved the place.
The hotel is quiet and you have to get a taxi for nightlife, but we didn’t want that so it was perfect for us.
Highly recommend.

Lovely clean hotel, food and drink was great, sleeping with the sound of the waves on the shore! Thank you Christian for looking after us at the bar but every single member of staff was lovely kind and welcoming. Thank you. Entertainment was fun and overall a fab restorative break for two frazzled individuals!!!

We had a great experience, staff were lovely and helpful. DANIEL at Reception was incredibly helpful, friendly and respectful. Other staff were very helpful as well.

Absolutely stunning hotel, a bit far out of Main part of Belamadena, bus stop nearby, but a bit far to walk, every room had a magnificent seaview

We go on holiday two to three times a year, so we’ve stayed in plenty of places, but this hotel in Benalmádena genuinely stands out from the rest. Nothing felt like an extra charge. The safe was free, the Wi-Fi was included and the all-inclusive actually meant all-inclusive. No sneaky add-ons or upselling, just straightforward and fair.

The food was a real highlight. The quality was honestly better than a lot of restaurants we’ve been to, and every meal felt fresh and well cooked. We never once had a bad plate.

The part that really made this holiday special was the lobby bar, and I want to give proper credit here. Leo and his team were something else. They didn’t just serve drinks, they paid attention. They learned what we liked, remembered our orders and before we even thought about asking, the next drink was already on the way. It wasn’t just for us either, you could see them doing it for everyone.

What stood out even more was how they acted when things were quiet. They didn’t just stand around. They kept the place spotless, stayed alert and still managed to give service at a level you’d expect in a top-end hotel. Every one of them was professional, friendly and genuinely proud of their work. You don’t often see teams like that.

Even in the restaurant, the service was excellent. You didn’t have to get up for your drinks at lunch or dinner. drinks was brought to the table, which made meals feel calm, relaxed and more enjoyable.

After years of travelling and staying in many hotels, this one has easily taken the top spot for us. The food, the atmosphere and especially the staff made the whole holiday effortless. Leo and the lobby bar team truly set the standards here.

We will definitely be coming back.
