The themed rooms are a great idea. The breakfast was good. It catered well for our party.

Cons:

It needs a makeover. My room was dated & needs a makeover to bring it to a better level. My shower had no temperature or flow control as a consequence it was a steaming hot dribble!

Convenient, comfortable, affordable.
Pros:

The hotel is only a few minutes from the Old Fire Station, so perfect for a gig. Also, very close to the beach (via zigzag path), and only a few minutes walk to the pier, and to the centre of town. Clean comfy single room, tea & coffee, own bathroom...all good! The price for two nights was extremely reasonable 😃

Cons:

The furniture is well-worn & a bit shabby, although clean. The shower was a mixer tap, so not brilliant, but I've showered under worse!
My room was really hot (not in proportion to the weather outside!), so it was a bit difficult to sleep well, even with both windows open.

Quirky and fairly cheap, movie memorabilia everywhere. Area clearly not as nice as it used to be.
Pros:

The rooms were a good size and clean. There was a lift. Cooked self serve breakfast good value.

Cons:

Small car park where charges applied upon arrival. Dog charges applied upon arrival. Questionable area with dodgy hotel next door, felt vulnerable taking the dog out for their last toilet break. Whilst my room was big it overlooked questionable residential hotel next door and I had to keep curtains closed from dusk.
