I stayed at this hotel before and it’s an a very good location to the beach too. Well at least now the parking is for free which it wasn’t in the past.
Just getting older and older that hotel so you can hear everything from the people above you, doors slamming, creaking floors and this time I stayed an alarm went off and it seemed to be a false alarm but that was 6am, these things happen and at least we know alarms work for safety!
The breakfast was really not great, why go for a buffet breakfast? If it’s not a 5 star hotel please don’t do a buffet, it has lack of choice, food gets cold, maybe we want scrambled eggs instead for example, needs a better coffee machine!!
Management please read: -Stayed in a simple hotel in Exeter and there was a menu to order for hot food and I told them what eggs I liked and what I wanted and it all came fresh to your table quickly and nice and hot -perfect the way it should be done! 😊 and don’t put herbs on the tomato’s (they did this at hotel celebrity) 😝😬 if we wanted it maybe. Not fancy!

Quirky hotel. Lots of figures of celebrities around & rooms each had a celebrity name on the door with photos of said celebrity inside. Ours was Rihanna. Staff were friendly.
We had booked breakfasts for 4 days. The heater keeping the food warm was either not switched on (first day) or not adequate. The plate warmer never worked hence 4 cold breakfasts despite asking the staff. The toaster wasn't working properly. To get service in the bar you had to ring a bell which wasn't always forthcoming but pleasant when they did. Rooms were "refreshed" over the weekend so no clean towels till the last day.
Inexpensive, conveniently located, it was fine for an overnight stay. Very limited interaction with the staff but receptionist was competent.
Paper thin walls felt like I was sharing the room with my neighbour (and anyone walking down the corridor)! Luckily not too busy and the room next door went to bed and got up at a reasonable time so it was ok. Breakfast was a straight up full English, and it did not look very appealing to me so I skipped it.

Location was close to the beach, but that is not the actual hotel itself!
the room was dirty, the carpets were extremely stained, i felt like i was being bitten all night & i now have bed bug bites! When i booked it said breakfast included & just after 7.30am my door knocked asking for £10 per person for a disgusting breakfast that has caused me food poisoning through uncooked sauages! Fire alarm went off @ 4/5am, the staff were talking whilst we were trying to check in, in their own language which made us feel very uncomfortable because we heard them talk fluent english before their own conversation, so we had no clue what they were talking about! I actually left before paying the extra breakfast fee purely because of how ill i felt & my partner & there was noway i was paying £10 per head for something so disgusting!
Booked at a cheaper rate & it felt they were trying everything to stop the lower amount!
We couldn't just have a single light on (lamp) as there was no separate switch it just turned 2lights on!
The shower was the noisiest shower i have ever heard with one vogue spray of water that kept spraying in my eye, the shower was tiny.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. The location was perfect for the beach and a short walk from the centre.
It's a shame they don't serve food as a solo traveler it would have been nice to be able to eat on site.But this doesn't reflect on me having a lovely stay.

First night was very bad. I had constant electrical noise in the background, no hot water in the shower, no cold water in the sink and noise from a party on the premises. Rooms are not cleaned during your stay. Breakfast food was tepid not hot every day and did not improve despite asking. Carpetibg in the corridors waa grubby.i had to change my room.
