Lovely pool and hot tub. Room was spacious & clean. Bed comfortable. Staff helpful and friendly
The room was immaculate as were all the public areas.
The staff were most obliging and friendly.
Nice hotel
This is a traditional B&B with all the right values, which include friendly staff. It is no-frills, but that is not to disparage it.
The location is fine, it is quiet but urban, the clientele is mostly pensioners and occasionally conference delegates, but middle-aged, primarily senior citizens.
It gives them what they want and does so well. The staff were kind, patient and helpful. It is a model of its kind, and while others will find it faded, I accept it for what it is. It made people happy, including me.
My stay at the Riviera was what I expected from a seaside town, it was dated, but comfortable, the room could do with an update but I slept well, breakfast was everything I needed.
The staff very friendly and helpful. The room comfortable and clean.
Really friendly staff and warm welcome on arrival location was excellent and food really good the only negative part was the lack of parking
Lovely place to spend a weekend in Bournemouth. Chose it for its proximity to Alum Chine beach. Having the pool was definitely a bonus and we made use of it every day. Breakfast was good too, nothing too fancy though. Good value for money!
Really convenient location, right next to the beach. Very clean.
Greeted by very welcoming and helpful staff on arrival. Was allowed to check in earlier, which was a blessing.
The room was sunny, airy, clean and spacious. Bathroom a bit dated but very clean.
Room service available if you need one. On site secure parking as well as gym, pool ( small but pleasant). Withing bar area additional space for eating and entertainment like table tennis ( free of charge) pool and air hockey tables.
Staff on site polite, friendly and easy to talk to.
3 night stay and was pleased with the overall experience.. room was clean could do with a freshening up bed was comfy and the breakfast was really good.
Very comfortable. We did have a problem with size of the TV in our room and bar lounge. We felt they could have been larger as watching from across the room and bar area.
Great location just a short walk from the beach at Alum Chine. Nice family friendly facilities with bar with games room and indoor swimming pool.
The only complaint was that the room was very stuffy and in the corridor it felt like the heating was on in the middle of summer. We opened a window and had the fan we found in the wardrobe running but it would’ve been quite unpleasant had we been there during a heatwave.
But dated but staff excellent
Good stay
We stayed at the Riviera for 5 nights and had a fantastic experience. The hotel room was immaculate - super clean and well-maintained.
Breakfast each morning was delicious and plentiful, with a great selection of cooked items and pastries that the kids and I really enjoyed. We also appreciated the leisure facilities - swimming pool, jacuzzi and gym. It was never busy at the pool so the kids and I spent a great deal of time there in the evenings.
The staff were a highlight of our stay. Everyone, from reception to the restaurant/bar staff and housekeeping, was friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel’s location was perfect - just a short walk to the beach and only a 10 minute drive to Poole.
We loved our time at the Riviera and are already looking forward to staying here again next time we’re in Bournemouth.
The room was dated and in need of refurbishing. You could hear everyone from the room next door and below.
I would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Bournemouth. It is excellent value for money with great service.
Hotel was reasonable. Room was very small and cramped, bathroom tiny.
Overall the hotel was just dated and very tired. Would I stay again, no I don’t think so.
really like this hotel.friendly staff good facilities and close to the beach.good food both breakfast and evening
