We were moved to another ‘the Lodge’ because of electric problems . It was disgusting! grubby broken carpets. Curtains that didn’t fit . Stair way dusty nightshade covered in fluff.

Excellent location - in the heart of everything - restaurants, coffee shops, bus and train stations - all a few steps away. Lady at reception was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Room clean and comfortable.

Excelente localização no centro de Cardiff a poucos passos da Estação Central de Trem que foi o meio de transporte que usei para continuar minha viagem, restaurantes e pontos turísticos. Equipe muito atenciosa, limpeza excelente, ótimas instalações no quarto e banheiro, recomendo.
Nada a destacar, talvez um elevador pois a construção é alta com escadaria ingreme, não que atrapalhe mas ajudaria se tivesse pois com malas maiores exige um esforço maior para os andares superiores.
Infested with bedbugs in room 302, woke up with about 40 bites at 5 am and immediately left. Bed and wall behind bed was crawling in them.
Loud drunken karaoke noise coming from downstairs till gone 2am.
The place is very tired and dated and covered in scaffolding, but that’s an irrelevance given the bedbugs.

Everything was lovely helpful staff ,clean etc .Good for central Cardiff.
Didnt like the noise at night went on till 3 to 4 perhaps back of building not st marys street side .Perhaps invest in double ,double glazing .
Location is brilliant, they have the facilities you need, basic but great value for money, especially being in central Cardiff. I always come here for a night’s stay. We were staying during a heat wave so the fan came in handy
The rooms are a bit old fashioned and could do with updating but for the price you pay I am in no way bothered by it. Excellent value for money
Good location, next to the train and next to everything needed. Staff was absolutely lovely could not fault the staff. The main reception area is lovely and welcoming.
Firstly i didn't like the fact had to carry suitcases up a really steep set of steps. The room didn't feel clean to me As soon as I stepped in the room it had an awful strong smell that made me feel a bit sick so i proceeded to spray perfume and then try to open the window to let some air in, the window wouldn't stay open and was covered in black mould around the window frame. The view was absolutely awful of ladders and a roof so definitely not a room with a view. The staff really were lovely but i wouldn't go back. An honest review unfortunately.
The bed frame and other thinggs in the room had clear signs of wear and tear. The toilet leaked
