Clean and tidy room in a good central location
This hotel did not match the images or services advertised online. The room was claustrophobic for someone with no previous experience feeling claustrophobic - barely room to open a suitcase, the shower was less than 1 metre square, and the bathroom had less then 50cm of changing room unless you wanted to straddle the toilet to do so. The supposedly free wifi might work…but my webpages are still trying to load. Cleaning staff do not understand the meaning of “do not disturb” signs which was a huge invasion of privacy (especially considering I had to change in the room because of the aforementioned limited space in the bathroom), and took a fan out of my room (during a warm week) that was quite obviously in use. When I asked reception staff about this and if I could have one to take back to my room, I was made to feel that this was a huge inconvenience to them. I would not recommend this travel to anyone wanting a good nights sleep, rest after travelling from the other side of the world, or just a nice stay in general. If I could give this hotel no stars, I would. I checked out 5 days early and booked a different hotel because I was so uncomfortable and staff refused to refund remaining nights even after I explained my complaints and was visibly upset.
Great location, hotel very clean but a little dated. Would stay again.
The location of hotel is close to Paddington station, which is very convenient to travel around in London via public transportation.
Wifi didn't work at all. Rooms were hot and fan didn't help. Needed to open window due to heat and constant noise from traffic affected our sleep. Construction in hallways was on-going except on weekend. Old locks on room doors did not provide security, sign inside room warned us to lock valuables inside suitcase as hotel would not be responsible for theft. Staff were kind and helpful. Bathroom shower was tiny, pillows were small and lumpy.
I enjoyed the hotels area which was very walkable to the tube and dining options. However, we got assigned to the room that was so hot and a bit suffocating tbh. I understand the Air con condition here in the uk but at least we should have some opened air windows which didnt work.
Checking in was confusing as I'd done an online check in the day before but when we got there I had to go through normal check-in
Room had everything we needed but bathroom very tiny and for people who are carrying a bit of weight may struggle to manoeuvre around it. Bed was super comfy, so 10 out of 10 for that. Staff very friendly. In the morning then lift was out of service which wasn't great as we were on the 3rd floor and had to walk down several flights of stairs. Anyone with mobility problems would have struggled with this. We liked where the hotel was situated pretty building and lovely reception area. The TV in our twin room was opposite one of the beds so not ideal place for the other person trying to watch from the other bed. Great for a night away but for the price of the tiny twin room it seemed a lot of money so although we loved the area not sure we would stay there again.
Very small bathroom and shower
We were very disappointed on arrival at the hotel to find that we had been misled by Hotels.com. The description of the room clearly stated that there was a kitchenette in the room and we found that the only facility was a kettle. When I enquired at reception I was told that none of the hotel rooms had a kitchenette. This involved my wife and I in considerable extra expense during our stay as we had specifically chosen this hotel because of the facility for self catering. The response from the hotel management was to reiterate that none of the hotel rooms had kitchenettes. We feel badly let down by Hotels.com in this matter and will be reluctant to accept any future descriptions without first contacting the hotel for confirmation.
Added to this the bed was extremely uncomfortable and not up to the standard we would have expected.
Great location close to major hub for underground. Noisey busy street but not a big deal if you don’t have to sleep with window open which we did due to the heat. One fan was supplied. Rooms were small. No flat surface to lay anything on. Kitchenette was a floating shelf 6” wide with an electric kettle and mugs. Bathroom was horrible. Stand up shower was small and 2x2 feet of floor space to function. But worst part was sink had 2 facets one for hot one for cold that were push activated. U had to hold down each to use before it ran out with just enough pressure to not make to too forceful as to splash outside the tiny sink. Cold started warm turned hot then cold. No surface in bathroom to lay items and barley room to turn around. A lot can be overlooked but this facet situation is ridiculous. Not even to be able to turn it on to brush your teeth is unreal. Holding facet with one hand and trying to wince with the other or washing one hand then the other Loved the location and hotel was fine but amenities were lacking. Definitely needs upgrading
Small but very clean room with comfortable bed. Fantastic location. Friendly and helpful reception staff.
Staff was amazing , clean , worth the money
It was a great find!
Very happy with everything except the wifi. No setv
The rooms are cozy and fine for one night. There was a problem with my key getting stuck. However Lucy at the front desk went out of her way to resolve the situation.
Close to train, and in an interesting neighborhood.
Excellent location in a quiet enclave close to Paddington underground ( although we walked past it twice as it’s not that well signposted ! ). Friendly staff, clean and tidy rooms made this a very pleasurable stay. I would definitely come again.
Booked last minute because missed last train..upgraded me to double..wild stat again
Reception staff were not friendly but very blunt, the room was extremely noisy and we could hear the conversation in the room next door and in the corridor. The house keeping staff were talking loudly with each other and banging around when cleaning other rooms first thing in the morning
The Wi-fi was not particularly strong. My room was in the basement and was cold. Some of the plug sockets were damaged in my room.
Facilitys to the room. We been on the first floor without acsensor. We've got a big luggage and we lif it with hands.
