The new owners are upgrading this property as they go. So the dining, bar & lounge areas are very nice & welcoming.
The hotel upgrade has yet to get to the bedrooms & bathrooms as the new owners are upgrading as & when they can.
We had a huge suite and the staff were very welcoming.
Sadly the suite was incredibly worn down and run down
The room was large with a very comfortable king size bed, plenty of pillows etc.
We had an evenning meal taking advantage of the early sitting (Pre 7pm). Food was excellent, both in quality and presentation, making it superb value.
The English Breakfast was one of the best! Presentation was amazing as was the quality. A must have for any visitor.
Lack of a pool, but that was known in advance when booking.

Staff were friendly and welcoming, the restaurant and bar is lovely. And the cocktails amazing!
The bathroom was very dated, no walk-in shower, old wash basin, paint work around hotel need doing.

Bathroom was a little tired and could do with an update.
Quiet location, comfortable room and good quality evening meal.
The complimentary continental breakfast was simply abysmal, with pitifully narrow range of food options, minute croissant (1 each), ditto for Danish pastry, and staff who made it plain that we should have chosen the at cost full English. The worst hotel breakfast we have ever tasted.
Large rooms and quiet location and staff were nice and pleasant.
Property and rooms in bad condition, our room had the fire alarm dangling out of the ceiling by its wires and random wires were hanging out of a socket. The cups hadn’t actually been washed which was rather gross and lamps were only for show as had no bulbs, bed was too short and I’m not particularly tall and single duvets were both put in double duvet covers so most of it was on the floor which was odd. Don’t advise eating there as breakfast had obviously been pre cooked and was completely cold as the trays were not heated, they offered to cook fresh but we needed to be somewhere. It’s a shame as it has the potential to be a great hotel with lots of work.

I didn't get the room i paid for,too bad and I was really disappointed.The staff there told me that booking. Com didn't let them know this and i showed him the picture of the room i paid for on my reservation on booking. Com yet i was not geven the room.My wife and my children were very disappointed as well.This is not professional.😞.
Room itself is nice enough, a little dated in places.
Frustrating to find no restaurant or bar, and limited breakfast, despite emailing beforehand, as stay in cheltenham once a month and first time, found out on arrival, but is still showing on the booking pages as restaurant etc there but it isnt.
Thus property was being renovated at the time of out stay so staff were trying there best
Location was good. Room was big. Good having tvs in both lounge and room.
No hot water in the shower (Orchard Suite). Could do with a refurb, smashed bottom of door and curtains didn’t fully block out light.
