The location was ideal for us. Breakfast as good as evet
Couldn't get the fan in the bathroom to work
Beautiful setting and gardens.
Not as relaxed as it could have been, things closed early.
In extreme heat care had been taken for room to be cool - curtains closed/ fan on
The staff were very approachable & helpful. The breakfast choices good & well served and the venue was convenient.
Aircon would have been good but the fan serviced.
Location to norwich town
Comfortable
Nothing much
The room was excellent and the bed very comfortable. The garden surroundings and statuary are a real bonus, and all staff from the reception through to the gardener and the person serving breakfast performed what they did exemplarily, and with a friendly smile.
My two reservations are first that the bath had a slippery surface and there was no mat to counter that. My second is so trivial it hardly counts, but there was no place to charge our phones
The only reason I haven’t given excellent for each category was purely weather related . Everything was perfect as far as we were able to experience. The care & politeness of staff + the decor of the restaurant & lounge extremely nice.
it was a heatwave and our room…lovely as it was….was at the top of the coach block. As we went up the stairs the stair rail became distinctly warmer …hot air rises. We opened the windows and totally weather related, there was absolutely no breeze. We ‘slept’ on top of the bed linen and had the fan as close to us as possible. The room could have had a larger fan. Neither of us slept. We didn’t mention anything at the end of our stay.
Close to town center, good car parking. Clean
and pleasant hotel.
Clean, tidy. Friendly and efficient staff. Clean showers and comfortable beds. Nothing to complain about.
Excellent Customer Service
The staff are friendly, courteous kind and professional. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast. The room was clean and well maintained. All of which made for a very comfortable stay.
Most things, see below
As I have some mobility issues, it was a little difficult climbing to room 14, and it was a little difficult opening the rather heavy door. Not hotels fault it was sooo hot, but the fan in our room was of little use and made for rather uncomfortable sleeping. Not sure you should be charging for car parking; should be included in price as I guess most guests would come by car.
The positioning of the hotel was excellent.
It did not seem like a happy hotel but I maybe be wrong. Arrived late and the barman was so unhelpful. Everything seems trouble to him. The prices were also high. For the price we paid, I was expecting more.
The staff were great. Location perfect
We were in the coach house which was far to hot, no aircon & only 1 fan. Room was unbearable.
Breakfast disappointing. Coffee machine, burnt toast.
Annesley House is in a good location within walking distance of Norwich town centre. The hotel has attractive grounds and offers parking for a reasonable fee of £6 a day. Despite the traffic, it was sufficiently set back from the road and was quiet at night. We stayed there during the recent heatwave and appreciated the high ceilings in our room, though the table fan in our room made little difference to the air flow. The room was a good size, with comfortable twin beds. The shower was over the bath, but worked well and had a rubber mat for safety. Breakfast was served in the light and airy conservatory and there was a good choice of continental and cooked options. We appreciated the friendly service from the server, Diana, when we came down in the morning.
It would have been good to have had a small fridge in the room and a shaving point in the bathroom would also have been useful (the one behind the mirror had been taped over). The hotel has a dinner menu, but nothing available at other times in the day. I had to go to a nearby Tesco Express to get a sandwich.
Friendly staff, excellent breakfast, and SO grateful for the fan in the bedroom on the hottest night of the year
paying extra for parking
Had a fab time in Norwich, hotel was excellent
