Great location, nice to stay in a building in architectural harmony with Edinburgh New Town, comfortable room, classic Edinburgh deli and cafe Valvona and Crolla only three minutes walk away.
Stayed in the family room. Loved the room and how spacious it was. The bed was really comfortable and the bunk bed was a bonus which mh son loved. Wardrobe was very useful and the bathroom was very clean. Loved how we could drop our bags off before checking in so we didnt have to carry them everywhere. We also paid to keep our bags there after checking out so we could pick them up when going for train. We didnt try the bar or breakfast so cant comment on those.
Tried the fan but the plug was already broken so it wouldn't work unfortunately. Abit disappointing as it was roasting hot in Edinburgh during our stay.

The room was clean and modern, on a lovely residential street near a bus stop and within walking distance of the tram. It was very quiet and safe. Staff was super helpful.
I thought I had restricted my search to hotels with a lift, but apparently not. Cairn does not have a lift.

L’espace autour du lit est insuffisant pour que quelqu’un circule bien pour se rendre du côté fenêtre. Les prises pour charger le téléphone près du lit ne fonctionnaient pas.
Staff friendly, overall nice hotel
Single glazed windows, didnt get a lot of sleep. The room next to me dont know how to close a door quietly either. Although I was on my own the room was a little small considering how much it cost

Wielkość pokoju i brak jakiejkolwiek wentylacji nie pozwala na lepszą ocenę- to dość przykre, ale daje możliwość do poprawy. Okno się nie otwierało-nie powalało to na wpuszczenie świeżego powietrza do pomieszczenia. Mnóstwo gniazdek elektrycznych pozwalających na korzystanie z różnych urządzeń - my głównie korzystaliśmy z ładowarki do telefonu, ale i tak oceniam to na plus. Zabrakło mi trochę więcej otwartości ze strony obsługi- niby byli, ale jacyś tacy wycofani, każdy właściwie unikał kontaktu, brak było z ich strony jakiegokolwiek zainteresowania naszymi potrzebami- określiłbym ich zachowanie - formalnym. Hotel uznałbym za cichy i położony w spokojnym rejonie w zabudowie szeregowej, nisko piętrowej. Część z pokoi znajdowało się w sąsiadujących budynkach. Opłata za pokoje była taka sama jak dla drugiej podróżującej z nami pary, ale oni byli umieszczeni w pokojach, które uznałbym za wyższy standard. Mieli kuchenkę, lodówkę - tego u nas zabrakło. Wykończenie łazienki-toalety pozostawiam w ogóle bez komentarza - robili to chyba we własnym zakresie. W ogólnej ocenie porównując jakość do ceny to uznałbym, że jest lekką przesadą kosić takie sianko za niezbyt komfortowe warunki.
