Breakfast fantastic, staff very nice, bed was clean and comfy.
Loose fixtures/fittings, strange plug socket location in the middle of the bed between pillows, nowhere to hang your towels, only one bottle of water provided when there apparently should have been two, very thin walls, coffee pods bent and didn't work in the machine, bathroom could have really done with a good clean and regrouting.
But don't let that put you off. Its such a Beautiful place. Lovely surroundings, clean, comfy. Will stay again.
Creaky floors because it's an old lodge.
Boutique hotel not a chain and close to Duxford Air Museum. Friendly helpful staff
Food stopped serving at 5pm on a Sunday. After a day at the museum it would have been great to eat at the hotel without having to find somewhere outside for food.
Location good for our purposes we were visiting relatives nearby.
Very small room. Poorly designed bathroom no space for toiletries. Not good hanging for towels. No proper wardrobe space and short hanging. Coffee machine did not work properly we only managed to get one cup out. Very cold room. Very poor breakfast little choice.
Lovely
Terrible! Sorry but did not match pictures. Continental breakfast. The slices of cheese only 4 slices of bread. Staff very pleasant though
Breakfast! Décor! should be returned to previous condition. "Adults Only" sign could be seen outside as approaching made it look like a house of ill repute. Stable Room comfortable but too small
Very quiet area so had an uninterrupted sleep. Plenty of on-site parking. Staff very friendly, helpful and welcoming. We had dinner and breakfast and both meals were very good. Room and bed sizes for all the rooms we had (three in total) were good.
Loft room we had only had a bath with no shower - showerhead in bath but you had to sit to use it. There was some danger of hitting your head on the sloping ceiling - especially if getting up in the night.
Continental breakfast was lovely. The staff were all exceptional. Everyone was so helpful and lovely.
The room could have done with a little TLC but everything worked. Bed was comfy and the shower was fab!
The staff were lovely and breakfast on the second day was excellent
The room was tiny and in the basement, it is the only room down there. It is very noisy. The bed is extremely hard and uncomfortable. The plug in the sink does not work.
The hairdryer wire is too short to be able to see in the mirror.
Breakfast on the first day was poor, I had porridge and sent it back cold, it came back warm and like concrete. I just went without. My husband’s breakfast came without bacon and we had to wait for that to arrive separately.
On first impression this hotel is very nice but I would not stay again and I would definitely not recommend the awful basement room.
Lovely hotel, staff were great, breakfast was excellent and the room was nice. We had a very nice stay and for the price would stay again. Great location close to IWM Duxford.
Cleaning wasn't terrible by any stretch but could do with a little attention to detail, tiny things such as marks on the wall by the bin and the bathroom tiles ready for a deep clean. But certainly nothing to put us off staying again.
Parking was good and location
Our rooms were dusty and bathroom was rusty
We didn’t get restocked water, tea, milk etc
Breakfast was very expensive for the sub par quality
Room walls super thin so was kept up by noisy neighbours.
One of our room in our group booking didn’t have a fridge the bathroom door locked and they had to call maintenance which did come but was late night.
Lovely staff, lovely room, lovely aesthetic.
Shane cooked breakfast isn’t available all the time
Excellent location for the IWM Duxford. Comfortable. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.
