Location was really good.
We did not like the "stables"- felt cramped and it was a bit noisy. Also the shower was dangerously slippery though to be fair a mat was available upon request (it should be supplied automatically. In addition, the shower was mouldy and the shampoo container was broken and it was not dealt with even though we informed mngt.
Quirky Excellent food Very comfortable bed
Disappointed to find on arrival they have changed mid week breakfast to continental as people had raved about the exceptional breakfasts!
Quirky little boutique hotel, with lovely staff who couldn’t do enough for us.
Nothing to dislike
Staff were friendly and approachable. Helpful with queries. Place was easy to find and easy to access with on site parking. Room was a reasonable size and beds were comfortable with good quality sheets and towels available. There was a hairdryer and tea/coffee in the room, but we had to ask for regular tea bags as there were none when we arrived.
Overall the property was a bit shabby looking -- paintwork was patch in our room and outside there were piles of used cigarette butts that had been left on tables. The bathroom was quite small and there was no safety mat to put down in the shower making it very unsafe for older guests. The bathroom tap was hard to control and the sink was very small. The bedroom had no good reading lights available -- it was either full on or nothing. We found the art on the walls entirely out of keeping with the style of the building and rather unpleasant, especially the large nude in the breakfast room.
Lovely location and area
Great location near the air museum. Staff were understanding and helpful!
Rooms were in need of renovation/deep clean. Shower shelf was rusty & mould in the corner of the shower/roof.
Brilliant stay
Nothing
Great location for IWM, lovely local village, couple of nice pubs, very comfortable rooms. Breakfast was great quality. Parking enough for hotel guests. Quiet location.
If I am being really picky… No shower gel in room, I couldn’t go down to ask as already in shower. One towel in room which we knew prior to using shower but we tend to use one between us for a single stay anyway, so didn’t ask for another.
Everything, great staff, so hospitable, we felt completely at home and well taken care of.
Thank you.
Nothing
Nice rooms and accommodation. Rooms and furnishings are good.
The wash basin was really tiny despite opting for a superior king room. Not at all sufficient for washing my face properly. Overall, the bathroom was smaller than our expectations. The bulb above our bed was not working and we had to report it to the reception.
Breakfast was excellent
Lots of stairs but this is an old building which is part of it's character
Easy to find .. room very comfortable.. and very qt but it was Sunday night ..
Oddly enough we bought a drink and got a service charge added it was only £2 something but for a round of 3 drinks just don’t like it sorry .. no water in room when it said it would have some however did tell them and reception apologised..
Beautiful place
Room too small for what we paid, room to hit, telephone didn’t work, very noisy as people constantly going up and down stairs
Handy for who we were visiting
Nil
Great room and clean. The staff was super friendly
The upstairs were really loud. It sounded like I was below a laundry room and there was a lot of heavy stomping and machines running most of the day.
