Handy for accessing Highland Folk Museum but skip the breakfast and don't expect Wifi!
Pros:

Large well furnished room. Spacious modern bathroom. Appreciated the coffee, tea and biscuits that were provided. Location is fantastic - walking distance to Highland Folk Museum, hikes, grocery store and shops.

Cons:

NO Wi-Fi. There was a printed sign in reception saying the Wi-Fi was down, but they had no idea when it would be back and it never was up the 2 nights we stayed there. I don't think they will bother to provide it for guest use.
Disappointing breakfast. Poor selection of cold breakfast items (porridge, corn flakes, bread for toast) and a plate of hot breakfast. Percolator coffee or tea only. 12.95 is a rip off!!

Fairly near Aviemore. Ground floor as requested. Quiet.

Es war sehr schön hier
Pros:

Es ist ein recht großes Hotel , aber alles gut organisiert. Die Betten waren sehr bequem , das Badezimmer sauber . Das Freilichtmuseum liegt fast direkt vor der Türe . Man kann es immer wieder besuchen , es kostet keinen Eintritt , es wird nur um eine kleine Spende gebeten . Das Frühstück war sehr gut . Man konnte aus verschiedenen Sachen auswählen , aber auch noch von einem Büffet sich etwas holen. Die Lage in den Bergen ist sehr schön . Das Loch Morlich ist zB. nicht weit weg .Das Loch Gynack finde ich persönlich schöner , aber man kann es von Newtonmore aus am besten nur zu Fuß erreichen.

The picture on tge bedroom wall was out of keeping with the modern decor and the car park was tight to manoeuvre in when full.

Okay but wouldn’t return
Pros:

Location good , room layout and facilities

Cons:

Cheap build causes noise from other guests and whole room vibration when doors close. Evening meal on our first night was awful so ate up the road for the rest of the stay. Breakfast was good.
Some staff’s lack of English can cause difficulties. Overflowing rubbish bin in dining area.
