Château d'Isenbourg

An outstanding hotel which I first visited in the 1980s. It is still wonderful with a superb restaurant and outstanding service. I cannot fault it. Graceful, elegant and friendly service, wonderful breakfast on the balcony, a heated pool and a lovely bar. We booked late and had one of the smaller rooms - stay in the main hotel if they have availability. Good value, too.

Vi fik ikke adgang til restauranten, så maden ved vi ikke noget om.
Deres egen vin var til gengæld helt i top.

It was a great experience to stay in an old historic chateau like this. We will come again after the renovation and wish to see more of the chateau

Superb location, great classic building with the urgent need for repairs. Our room was very spacious, old classic but very nice.
Much too expensive in compharison what you get. The food was less than average, as I told the cook. Pasta pre cooked - reheated and served in glued to one piece, an insult for anything which had been fish or anything before cooking. There are great other locations specially for food, in the lovely town of Rouffach

Beautiful hotel with fantastic terrace restaurant - what a view! The food was superb too, if quite pricey. Weather was not so good this time, so did not manage to get a swim i8n the outdoor pool.

We love Alsace and this chateau in particular.
Located on a small hill, surrounded by its own vineyards, the castle is a real eye-catcher.
The rooms are of course not set up modern, which is something nobody is looking for here,but as expected they are classically elegant and very tasteful.
A summer breakfast on the terrace, above the vineyard, with a view of the Rhine plain, is a real treat.
We have already enjoyed the hotel and its excellent restaurant 5 times and will spend many more wonderful weekends here.

歴史あるシャトーホテルであり、雰囲気、調度品は古くて、それなりに趣きがあります。
また、ツルの巣を構築しており、人間と自然との協調を重んじているのは良いと思います。

ただ、２つ残念だった事がありました。
一つは部屋(１７号室）の金庫ですが、１８０センチの身長がある私でも届きにくい場所に設置してあり、使わせないのか？と思う位でした。
２つ目は、期待したプールが故障して使えなかった事です。
２泊しましたが使えたのは到着した日の夜だけでした。
２日目はプールに入ってのんびりしようと思っていましたが全くだめでした。

チェックアウトする日もまだだめで、これならわざわざチューリッヒからドライバーを雇って泊まりにくる意味がなかったと言えます。

また、滞在中に部屋にプールが使えないとの案内もなく、チェックアウトする際にも、お詫びもありませんでした。
プールへの入口にプールは使えません、との張り紙がありましたが、そこにはジャグジーも入っていましたが、ジャグジーはボールペンで消してありました。

世界中で五つ星ホテルに宿泊していますが、本当に五つ星ホテル？と。

精々三つ星ホテルではないかと思っています。
五つ星ホテルサービスをあてにしてはがっかりすると言えます。

Chambre confortable mais qui mérite un petit rafraichissement (tapisserie), restaurant de qualité, personnel à l'écoute et sympathique, spa agréable mais un peu petit (attente pour le sauna, jacuzzi ou hammam), belle vue sur la ville, domaine bien entretenu.

Incredible grounds, views, and spa. A must visit if you are travelling to this region.

The building can be seen from far away as you drive to it, as it is on a hill overlooking the town. It is quite grand. It and its grounds are a sight: the tall tower, incredible architecture, surrounding vineyards, animals on the property, a stork nest on the top of the tower, and very nice decor are all extremely pleasant. The room was very comfortable and, of course, had an amazing view. Parking is easy.

The hot tub in the spa is amazing - the best view I have ever had from a hot tub. The hamam, sauna, and pool are nicely maintained. 100% worth stopping to relax during your trip.

The service is very friendly, attentive, and helpful. We appreciated the friendliness of the front desk staff.

Our only critique is that the bar is never staffed. We waited a while hoping someone would come by so we could order a drink before we finally gave up and left. The view is just so amazing - it would have been really nice to enjoy a cocktail.

We absolutely loved our stay here and could not recommend this hotel highly enough.

Le séjour a été convenable, déçu de la chambre la tapisserie qui se décolle dans la salle de bain...à plusieurs endroits. Très vétuste mérite un rafraichissement qui serait prévu pour fin d'année à priori. Concernant l'accueil et la prestation du restaurant ; le personnel a été très sympathique. Le petit déjeuner était exceptionnel.

It’s a beautiful authentic place located close to Basel airport and Elzas but it doesn’t feel like a 5 star hotel

Notre séjour au château perché au sommet de la ville de Rouffach a été une expérience d'exception, marquée par une vue panoramique à couper le souffle. Dès notre arrivée, l'accueil chaleureux et souriant du personnel a créé une atmosphère conviviale et agréable. L'option d'amener notre chien a été grandement appréciée, bien que nous ayons dû prévoir un supplément de 20 euros par jour. Dans la chambre, des détails réfléchis tels qu'une gamelle d'eau et une couette pour notre compagnon à quatre pattes ont renforcé le sentiment de bienvenue. La literie remarquablement confortable a assuré des nuits paisibles, et l'équipement complet de la chambre, comprenant un bureau, une armoire, une télévision, un réfrigérateur et une bouilloire, a ajouté une touche pratique à notre séjour. Cependant, un léger rafraîchissement au niveau de la salle de bains pourrait améliorer l'expérience globale. Le spa, doté d'un hammam, d'un sauna, d'une piscine chauffée et d'un jacuzzi, a été un véritable havre de détente. Les installations sont bien entretenues, et la mise à disposition de serviettes, shampoing, gel douche, eau, thé et tisanes a contribué à créer un environnement apaisant.
Notre expérience matinale au château a été un véritable enchantement pour les sens. Le petit déjeuner, pris avec une vue imprenable sur la ville, a ajouté une dimension magique à notre séjour. En conclusion, notre séjour au château a été une escapade raffinée et relaxante.

Je trouve vraiment dommage que les chambres et salles de bains ne soient pas refaites. C'est vraiment vétuste...
J'ai fait une chute au Spa (carrelage glissant) et j'ai depuis de grosses douleurs au coccyx!! Nou l'avaons signalé à l'accueil mais tout avait l'air "normal"
Les prestations ne sont pas à la hauteur du prix
Quel dommage car le château est bien placé, la vue est magnifique

Understanding that it is an old castle, I do think that the property has not been kept on prime condition. The bathroom was outdated and did not meet the price of the room. towels, and bed linen were not the best. The minibar was hot! Tesla charger was not working. Food at the restaurant was perfect. Would visit again!

Ensure you book a superior room or better. Annex rooms are very poor. Outdoor pool green and needs a clean. Spa small and crowded.

Young man was nice at reception that is studying at university in the UK. All other staff pleasant enough. We booked the lowest priced room which needs updating, it smelt, and the air con unit was simply letting hot air back in. Not a 5 star experience, regardless of wether we booked a classic room. Quite shocked at the responses from management too when anyone tries to write a bad review, from reading.

Excellente vue sur la plaine du Rhin. Emplacement magnifique au cœur des vignobles, un endroit énergétique et paisible.
