Best Hotel Dunkerque - Grande Synthe

A nights stay on way to catch the morning ferry from Dunkirk to Dover. Good fo this

Our room smelled like a knocking shop, the floor was sticky- yeah really- bedding was stained and far from satisfactory, "all you can eat" bread and jam, and a surly attendant even though I am fluent in French. The pictures online really don't match the reality of the room, shame as I have had better stays in other F1's in the past.
Won't be back.

One night stop over , hotel is remote and unfortunately on sunday has no restaurant . Very basic but the member of staff was very helpful.

The room was nice but it was a little too far from dunkrik , around 12km From It Very Nice... Very quiet I Would Totally Come Again The Prices Were Very Cheap i Tell Ya, Hotel F1 Very Terrible Ugh Dont Choose It The Toilets Are Outside

great staff made it easy to check in and settle at this basic but clean hotel. Quiet, comfortable, handy parking and handy access to main routes made this perfect for our needs. For when you don't need more.

Gorąco polecam, szczególnie podróżującym z problemami "językowymi". Bardzo miła i sympatyczna obsługa.

Stannade en natt för resa med färjan till Dover. Helt OK. Sparsam frukost, annars var närheten till färjan bra, 15 min bilresa.

Lite svårt att hitta på kvällen

We used to use Formule 1 hotels for these kinds of one night stopovers but after a bad experience a few years ago, we decided to try a different chain of budget places. The Best Hotel in Dunkirk serves its purpose very well. Four of us in one room for £50. Can't complain at that. The beds were fine, the bedding clean (although "poo brown" bedspreads (as described by my kids) are not the most attractive!), the room clean, the shower fantastically powerful and the tiny bathroom also clean. It's just a basic, no frills place to stay. We heard no noise all night. The reception staff were lovely. Plenty of free parking.

J'ai passé un bon séjour , la Directrice de l'hôtel est très sympathique, charmante, serviable et à l'écoute.
Les chambres sont propres, le petit déjeuner est copieux. J'ai apprécié le repas du soir, bon et copieux (c'est fait maison !!!) .
Je dois revenir prochainement dans la région , je reviendrais dans cet établissement .

I stayed in this hotel for one night. After having seen the recommendations here I thought this hotel would be at least alue for money. However, it was the most terrible stay I have ever had. When arriving in the hotel, the first thing I could realise was a biting smell in the corridors. After having opened the room door this was even more disgusting. I couldn't sleep properly at night. Every time I woke up, this I noticed this very aggressive smell which is very likely mold.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all!

However, the breakfast was good and the personnel was friendly.

Nous y avons passé 1 nuit, le lit est bien , le mobilier satisfaisant . Petit reproche, la salle de bain fort étroite.
Service déjeuner, bon et à volonté.
Personnel serviable et poli.

The staff were very good. Breakfast good. Rooms require updating. Strong smells of smoke in the two bedrooms we booked.

I could be really unkind about this hotel but it served the purpose for us as a family of four coming off the ferry at 11pm and crashing nearby. The room was a four place room with a double and two singles a very nice bathroom, just basic accomodation for a low price. £50 odd for the room and about £5.50 each for breakfast.

Breakfast was very nice with lots of choice although the empties were not topped up as it was a two person operation including reception and she was distracted. All the staff were very friendly and even though their reception closes at 930pm, they kindly made arrangements for us to enter the hotel late...more like 12 midnight in the end.

The surroundings were a bit industrial but all in all a good clean place to stay over. I wouldn't recommend it for a holiday though

Nous avons choisi l'hôtel pour sa proximité du le carnaval de dunkerque.
Les chambres sont simples mais très propre. L'hôtel est situé en dehors du centre ville et est très calme.
L'accueil par le personnel a été parfait.
J'y reviendrai

The room, though a little small was very clean and there was an excellent, powerful, hot shower. The service was very good indeed, both cheerful and helpful and the breakfast was varied and plentiful.
More than anything else, this hotel is ideally placed for the ferry port - literally five minutes away by car.

Für eine Nacht ist das Zimmer ok. Es ist sehr klein. Gerade das 4 Betten in das Zimmer passen.
Das Personal war sehr nett.
