Sub par, and we’re not fussy. Stiff, threadbare towels, windows detached from their frames, one liquid detergent for both body and shampoo, toilet paper dispenses 2 squares at a time, outdoor spa literally on the street. Think Motel 6.
5 stars for Lea (spelling?) and the front desk crew. Our assigned room had poor internet, very slow with dropped connections every couple of minutes. We were planning the remaining weeks of our travels and really needed to be online, yet the internet would not even support Googlemaps.
We complained at the front desk and the crew were amazing. They were under extreme load with a line out the door of people checking on, plus a large party in the bar that they needed to look after, yet they remained calm and super helpful.
When they were unable to fix the internet through rebooting, they offered to move us to a different room closer to the router… and when no rooms proved available at our room price, they bumped us to a super expensive room (think private deck with its own hot tub!) and said ‘no extra charge, it is our gift’. And, since we were away all the next day on a tour, moved our luggage to our new room so everything was ready when we returned. And on return the staff remembered us without prompting, made sure we were settled in our new room… and the internet works great!
Hopefully the front desk manager reads these reviews and appreciates the asset he/she has at the front of the hotel.
Room was clean but very small . No free parking at the property. You could pay a daily fee to park. Free parking was a 5 minute walk. Expedia listed that there was a safe in the room, that was important to us, but it was not there
You had to store valuables at the front desk
Staff at this hotel was hard workings and extremely friendly and accommodating.
Staff was great! Room was nice & clean. Hotel was close to what we wanted to see.
Downside .... our room was across a very busy street from the cinema. Lots of groups chatting & yelling & having fun. Good for them, but not for us as we were just trying f to sleep & that was tough. Motorcycle running up & down the street late didn't help.
I'd stay here again, just ask for a quiet room.
Very nice historic building in quieter area, close to main street with shopping and restaurants.
We were upgraded to the hotel next door (Luxembourg).
Very poor wifi for streaming/connectivity.
Very loud due to other guests slamming doors closed - inside and outside (parking lot).
Breakfast option is convenient but not worth $19 euros per person.
Towels for pool are not provided but if you ask the front desk, they can give you robes.
A very friendly hotel, clean and quiet
When we return to Bayeux. This hotel will be our first choice.
We had the apartment whixh was really good and exactly what we needed
Good hotel with secure parking for motorbike. Right in the old town and with in walking distance of alot of the main attractions. Rooms a bit small but clean and adequate with coffee machine, breakfast was okay could have been repplenished more. Staff helpful and professional. Would stay again
Stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting normandy. Good place to base yourself and the staff friendly. We stayed in the apartment for 4 people and it was absolutely perfect for us. Pool was small but good and the parking was a bit pricey at 16€ a day. Breakfast was a bit of a let down with hot food not replenished
It's okay, a bit tired and worn-out
Wonderful location, pool and hot tub a great way to end the day
Tiny rooms.
Good location, clean rooms. No AC, just a fan
Very friendly staff. Great location to walk around town
Great experience! They treated us with outstanding customer service. Etienne was extremely helpful in resolving an issue I had created which made our stay very great. The whole team was very accomodating. Would highly recommend.
Fourth (top) floor room with angled ceiling above the bed. Cramped and had to crouch to move around.
Elevator stopped one floor below.
Convenient on-premise parking.
Overpriced breakfast.
Perfect location to the cathedral, shopping and dining. Staff was helpful. Had one night of a great shower in terms of hot water and pressure. Next day shower was lukewarm at best…
We had quite a lot of interaction with our hosts before our arrival. The front office manager Etienne was particularly helpful in organising and booking various restaurants for our group, plus transport whilst there. All of which were first class. This made for a memorable, and very enjoyable Bayeux experience. Thank you from all of us.
Excellent all way around
