Nice and perfect for a one night stay whilst travelling further south as we were. we used both ways.
Pros:

A nice house with secure parking. Bed was very comfortable and all the staff excellent.

Cons:

Room 201 neither the fridge or air conditioning work, reported to reception on departure so be warned if you get this room

A lovely four nights stay in Amboise
Pros:

We stayed at this hotel for four nights in October last year as part of our road trip to the Loire Valley. The property from the outside resembles a small château discreetly tucked away from one of the main roads leading to Amboise.
The rooms were very quiet, and we had a wonderful nights sleep every night.
The hotel staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming, and communication was easy despite our limited French.
In the evening we went for a walk into the centre of Amboise which was around a 25 minute walk where there were plenty of places to eat and drink if you wanted to go exploring into the town instead.
As we were travelling in a classic car, we also greatly appreciated the secure off-road parking provided in the inner courtyard, and the large car park behind the hotel which offered both convenience and peace of mind.
