The staff is incredible and made us feel at home as soon as we walked through the door. They were very helpful in recommending great restaurants, arranging a private water taxi to the airport, and helping us store our bag (which arrived a few days before we did). The decor is impeccable, and we took full advantage of the patio space for apertivo hour and breakfast (don’t miss the scrambled eggs!!!). Al Ponte Antico was a relaxing and luxurious respite from the heat and the crowds while still being centrally located. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Venice.

The staff were super friendly - we were made to feel like we were staying with old friends who could not do enough to help.
We had a fantastic stay in Venice. I was travelling with my mum to celebrate her 70th birthday and this hotel was a great choice.
We upgraded from a Classic Room to a Suite overlooking the Grand Canal and Rialto Bridge and were really glad we did. It definitely made the stay more memorable. We could sit and watch everything happening around the bridge — marriage proposals, photo shoots and the general buzz of Venice. There was always something going on.
The location is excellent. Everything is within easy reach and it was great to be able to come back to the hotel during the day to freshen up, take a break and then head back out again.
I would also recommend getting a private water taxi from the airport. We arrived in the evening and the journey into Venice was a great experience in itself. It also made things much easier as we didn’t have to drag our bags over bridges and up and down steps or try to find the hotel when we first arrived.
The staff were outstanding throughout our stay and couldn’t have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and they really added to the experience.
Breakfast was excellent and the quality of the food was very high. Definitely try the omelette with everything in it! The 24-hour bar was also a great place to sit and have a drink at the end of the day.
We couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough. It made my mum’s 70th birthday trip very special and I would definitely stay here again
Ein Traum von Venedig
Perfect location, very warm welcome by the owner on the private dock of the hotel, great attention to details, very comfortable bed, excellent breakfast on a superb terrasse, attentive staff always ready to help. Will definitely stay again!
The location was fantastic, with the most beautiful view of the Rialto Bridge. The accommodations were great but the best part was the staff. Alex, the head concierge, helped us set up transportation to and from the airport/train station. It all went seamlessly. He was waiting for us outside upon arrival and greeted us by name. He was always there greeting us and saying good bye as we came and went and ready to help with any details on our stay, which was much appreciated, as this was our first time in Italy. The breakfast was amazing and homemade by the owner’s wife. The owner and breakfast staff all met us and we felt very taken care of during our short stay. I can’t say enough about the service, and particularly Alex. He walked us out when our water taxi picked us up and even stood outside the hotel smiling and watching us sail away. We felt like we were family and our trip to Venice would not have been the same at all had we not stayed at this hotel!
Outstanding...the owner (Sr. Matteo) prepared all the pastries and bread each morning. Coffee drinks prepared by staff well versed in Barista service. The excellent staff was/is a direct reflection of the owners pride and dedication to giving patrons the best experience he/they can offer. I cannot stress enough how personalized our stay felt. The balcony/deck overlooks the canal & Rialto Bridge and is one of the few balconies on the canal to enjoy breakfast, coffee and drinks throughout the day.
That we didn't have longer to stay. The experience was outstanding. Pro tip...we took a personal water taxi from the hotel to the airport and would have taken one there (Airport to Hotel) if we were to do it all over again. Personal water taxis more economical for 4-6 people than waterbus.
Amazing location, friendly and helpful staff and the view from the terrace for breakfast!!
Outstanding Breakfast, especially eating outside overlooking the main channel and the Rialto Bridge!
