Love the location,hotel and staff.
Pros:

This was my second visit to Hotel La Villa Victor Hugo, and I came back because of a few things. The people that work here are good at there jobs ,also friendly and helpful. I used the breakfast you can add to your reservation, and it was a good deal ,with many options. Housekeeping was perfect ,very polite and left the room spotless. I also like that it is an easy tram ride from airport ,with stop about 50 yards from hotel. Location is great too ,close to beach, places to eat and nice walking from here. Very beautiful city and area ,and this hotel makes it easy to explore.

Cons:

Improvements come at a cost, and this visit my view was pretty much blocked from the window,because the exterior of hotel was being refinished, so next time I come back it will be done, I think the workers might have finished some of the higher work because I saw them lower scaffolding yesterday. This is mid Feb 2026.

Exceptional hotel experience at an extremely affordable price.
Pros:

The staff were extremely friendly and polite and knowledgeable. Our room was well appointed, exceptionally clean, and very quiet. The hotel is located in a lovely neighborhood of the city, close to so many amenities.

Cons:

I have absolutely no complaints about the stay.

Nice hotel shame about the building works
Pros:

3 night stay. Major building works going on, we only found out about this from other comments on this site. Hotel is well located, very clean and well appointed. Breakfast does the trick. Would have been 5 stars if no building works

Cons:

Una fregatura! Lavori edili in corso. Finestra bloccata e chiusa con plastica bianca. Ponteggi e operai fuori dalla finestra. Totalmente inammissibile: peggio di una celle penitenziaria! Inoltre non è vero che l'hotel è dotato di parcheggio, contrariamente da quanto risulta su Booking! Si deve fare capo a parcheggi pubblici.

Прекрасный отель в Центре Ниццы. Очень стильный и уютный. До пляжа 5 минут пешком. Рядом остановка трамвая. Без проблем доетедетее до аэропорта. Прекрасный персонал на реуемшин. Всегда готовы помочь. Спасибо за прекрасный сервис

Non hanno avvertito che hanno i lavori in corso esternamente e questo copre tutto,il ponteggio montato non potevi aprire le finestre e neanche gli scuri se arrivi vedevi l'impalcatura e di giorno c'erano gli operai poca privacy

Excellent option for visitors looking to enjoy the »cliff’s notes » of Nice.
Pros:

The ladies at the front desk (from Poland I believe) were excellent. Upon my arrival I was checked in and given recommendations. Proximity to all things most want to see in Nice.

Cons:

Not that I didn’t like it, but there was scaffolding on most balconies and work being done throughout the day, kind of a vibe killer if you’re looking for the frenchified experience.
