We had a room (#1) that was swarming with ant trails. We understand that the property is located in a natural setting. But as the owner, you should know where the bats live in the house, and that the terrace is half-covered with bat droppings in the morning—which also serves as food for the ants. The ants also love to explore the entire room and the bed. One of the ant trails ends at the electrical outlet, the other at the bed. We had brought some food for our 6-year-old, which was a mistake, since the room—without a refrigerator—is poorly suited for storing children’s food. In the morning, the place was swarming with ants. When we asked to be given a free breakfast because our son couldn’t eat his yogurt and cheese, the manager lost his temper; he lectured us loudly and uncontrollably, insisting that we had behaved improperly, that everything was in order, and that we were just stupid guests who didn’t speak French. We’ve never experienced anything like this before: an aggressive, screaming host. In the hospitality industry, one should know how to deal with guests who calmly point out issues and ask factual questions. The administrators of this property do not know how. So we had to pay. Hard to recommend.
