Cons:

Personnel de maintenance se sert dans le buffet du petit déjeuner sans couvert alors que nous étions attablés, un peu moyen.
Coupure d'eau non annoncée alors que mme sous la douche... dommage

Characterful well located hotel
Pros:

Great location facing the marina and old town. Easy walk to the many restaurants and shops.
Comfortable room and bed. Good shower room. Friendly receptionists. Accepting of pet dog.
Decent buffet breakfast.

Cons:

Difficulty getting to the hotel by car due to one way systems and sat nav problems. Finding the parking garage was a challenge - but it was free!

Hôtel rénové.

Cons:

Pas d'eau chaude dans la douche. On fumait dans le corridor. On faisait la fête toute la nuit ce qui empêchait de dormir.

Séjour parfait de la qualité de l'emplacement à celle de la chambre. Accueil et petit dej au top
Pros:

L'emplacement de l'hôtel est incroyable, les chambres sont très propres et la literie vraiment confortable. Le petits déjeuner est de grande qualité et varié. L'offre du bar était top avec un verre acheté un verre offert tout comme la gratuité effectuée sur le parking. Tout a été parfait de l'arrivée au départ.

Be careful about which room you book! Otherwise the hotel is in a great position.
Pros:

Great position with safe parking for our car. Comfortable room with large bed.

Cons:

We booked the room to have an outside window with a view. Instead we were given a room overlooking an inside courtyard with a pool. We asked to change but were told there were no other rooms available. Due to other rooms opposite we spent much of the time with the curtains closed and lights on. Not great as the views over the harbour are stunning and what we would have liked to see to see. At night we opened the curtains slightly so we could open the small balcony door to have at least some ‘fresh’ air. Suddenly the door to the pool area, from the bar, was opened noisily and a woman and man stood in the doorway talking loudly and smoking blowing the smoke into the pool area. Despite being two floors above we could hear them clearly and smell cigarette smoke. We ended up having to shut the door only to find the air on did not work so the room was very hot. It was disappointing as we really enjoyed La Rochelle and had had a good evening wandering the harbour with our little dog.
