Pros:

Ein ganz besonderes Lob möchte ich dem jungen Mann an der Rezeption am Abend aussprechen. Er war wirklich außergewöhnlich: unglaublich freundlich, charmant, aufmerksam und engagiert und hat sich mit einer Selbstverständlichkeit bemüht, bei der man sich als Gast sofort willkommen und gut aufgehoben fühlte. Solche Mitarbeiter sind für ein Hotel Gold wert – und ich hoffe sehr, dass die Hotelleitung weiß, was sie an ihm hat.

Bemerkenswert waren außerdem seine Sprachkenntnisse. Schon sein fließendes Englisch fand ich ausgesprochen positiv, da dies meiner Erfahrung nach selbst in französischen Vier-Sterne-Hotels keineswegs immer selbstverständlich ist. Dass er darüber hinaus sogar wirklich ordentlich Deutsch sprach, hat mich völlig überrascht. Erwartet oder gar vorausgesetzt hätte ich das selbstverständlich niemals – umso mehr habe ich mich darüber gefreut.

Auch meine Junior Suite war ein klarer Pluspunkt: offenbar frisch renoviert, modern und wirklich schön eingerichtet und vor allem ausgesprochen sauber. In dieser Hinsicht habe ich mich im Zimmer sehr wohlgefühlt.

Cons:

Das größte Problem war für mich die Nachtruhe. Meine Junior Suite lag zur Straße bzw. zur Hafenseite, und selbst gegen Mitternacht an einem Werktag herrschte draußen noch erheblicher Lärm. Bereits gegen 7 Uhr morgens ging es weiter, unter anderem mit dem lautstarken Ausladen von Bierfässern. Wer Wert auf Ruhe legt, sollte deshalb unbedingt versuchen, ein straßenabgewandtes Zimmer zu bekommen.

Auch das Frühstück konnte mich leider nicht überzeugen. Der Frühstücksbereich ist für die Größe des Hotels viel zu klein und eng und war entsprechend überlaufen. Besonders unangenehm fand ich das Rührei, das regelrecht in einer milchigen Flüssigkeit schwamm und für mich schlicht ungenießbar war. Auch der Service am Morgen stand leider in deutlichem Kontrast zum hervorragenden Empfang am Vorabend: eher kühl, wenig zugewandt und insgesamt deutlich weniger gastfreundlich.

Die Parksituation ist für Ortsfremde ebenfalls etwas kompliziert. Die vom Hotel angebotene Parkmöglichkeit hat letztlich funktioniert, liegt allerdings nicht direkt am Hotel und bedeutet einen deutlichen zusätzlichen Fußweg.

En plein cœur du vieux port, hotel tres confortable

Chambre de taille respectable , l emplacement , le petit déjeuner, le rapport qualité prix

La climatisation un peu bruyante , une porte de WC qui faisait également du bruit ( un peu d huile et le tour sera joué)

Super étape pour un séjour à La Rochelle.
Pros:

Très belle situation en ville +++.
Parking pratique car pas besoin de voiture ensuite et prix correct.
Belle suite, calme et spacieuse. Chambre rénovée, bien conçue, propre calme, silencieuse et agréable.
Personnel accueillant. Météo capricieuse qui nous a fait renoncer à la piscine fin aout qui était pourtant très tentante et semblait appréciée par les utilisateurs.
Petit déjeuner dans un espace étroit vers 9 h mais fonctionnel et conforme aux attentes habituelles.

Cons:

A recommander car très apprécié !
Nous y reviendrons avec plaisir.
